sry for the delayed reply but ... timezones well i said that it was oly a theory , as for why i belive that the shapr plates wont be very much controled by it's wearer: ALL of the plates are humongus pieces of armor with smaler interlocking plates at the joints from this i think it's safe to assume that the armor part "the part that blocks shards " is the plates small and big though from Adolin's fights when in some intances his oppoments tryed to hit his joint since they are weeker, propably the bigger the better . so i can't see how smething lighter would work even if it was possible, if a small plate in the joint can be shatterd with one strike an even thiner plate wouldnt be a good idea . but even that was false , every single KR chose to be more bulky rather than smt more flexible there is propably a reason for that any way apart from that for the rest of the posts @Spoolofwhool completely mirrores my views

i dont know in Dalinar's visions all of the wind runners had shardplate also Kaladin is a pragmatic man i dont think that given the chance he would decline a plate the only protection against szeth as for the shard-leather : plate isnt created by the spren like a shardblade , Brandon has verified thet much the leading theory is that shardplate is formed by the lesser non sentient spren the early stages can be viewed when Kaladin is fighting "he draws wind spren flying around him" and salan's art drawing creation spren so i think that shadplate unlike shardblades cant be altered to fit the users preferations

well from the beformentioned color , light and gemstones are all basicaly stormlight . I always considered that the focus was either strormlight or spren , but your idea of bonds never crossed my mind and it is a very interesting one and my problem with metal is that unlike form and command which are abstruct concepts loosely related tou the nature of the shard , metal is smt, well that u can touch i understand what u say but what determines the focus? is it the intencion of the shard ,does it derive from the world as in what whould fit best ,or is it intentional ?

yeah the weird thing in that is that sazed should be able to feel an other being influencing his world and magic system that also rises the question of did trell choose in what way his power would manifest , i mean did he choose the to be "incogito mode" or is it randm or even still does it manifet itself based on the intent of its origin and one more thing does the mere arival of a new metal alter peoples DNA so that their offspings could become trellium mistings or is it only of the people that burn it ?

i mean the metalic arts are preservation's power ,his "body" . So would it be possible for smn to alter the nature of the power without preservation realizing it even if the host changed ? there is also the question why is trell manifesting he's power as a metalic art (preservation and ruin kind of make sense since they are opposites and even created the magic system together ) but none of the other shards have anything to do with metal . i dont know ,both theories interesting as they may be seem to only cover part of the event and still leave some things unanswered i dont have a theory of my own but i would like to present some questinons about the recreanse that each theory strive to answer 1) why did they make a show out of it? 2) why does no one know what rly happened ? (they may discover smt in the tower in the 3d book ) 3) why did the bonds return if it is only for the same thing to happen again ? 4) why did the bonds needed to be shatered and they couldnt like chill in their crib away from everyone i dont mean to critisize ur ideas nor dectate how a theory should be i am only curius about the beforementioned points

Naaah i just jumped in Leras's shard pool after i died only downside : i can't leave but who would have thought that he had WI-FI instaled ,

so i've always been curious about this in the mistborn novels it is a theme that "metal is power " and this applies to both shards residing in scadrial but this doesnt seem to be true for any of the other shards (you could say that Honor's shardplates and blades are "metal" but i think that it's a stretch) If it was only one i would had assumed that it is only normal , diferent aspects of god draw their powers fron diferent sources, but both ? (it could be becouse they are opposites but then that would require more of the shards to be paired) i understand that writing with a goal of unifying stories is hard and that propably some books were published before the idea of the cosmere developed into a plan Do you have any theories for why that happens ? also sidequestion: why is it that Leras said that he couldnt create a world alone ,even though many other shards created worlds on there own ?
