  1. If I remember correctly, Jasnah at that point of time thought that Shallan would be An Elsecaller too, and thus would also have bonded a shadowspren(cool term) Thus probably Ivory was curious too and revealed himself. As it was, they happened upon Shallan just bringing Pattern out, making it very obvious that they weren't from the same orders. Ivory realised he'd revealed himself too early, and vanished before Shallan could get a good glimpse at him. As jasnah said, Ivory doesn't like to be seen. The case when Shallan saw him was a rare case of him letting his guard down and expecting too early.
  2. *rubs head. This will not end well. And Wayne, why the hell wasn't I invited??
  3. Yknow, if Rise Above was the beginning of Kal's arc, his arc will be capped off by "Men of Honor" Imagine. The final battle in the final book. Voidbringers assembling. Odium laughing. An army, a sea, of black forms, red eyes, and flashing red lightning. Against them, tiny specks of light. The Radiants, in Shardplate, talking to their spren, preparing. Their faces show their knowledge that they may not survive. Kaladin alone, talking quietly to Syl. He is bruised, tired. His Shardplate is scored from a hundred battles, and his face has more scars than before. Yet he stands firmer, more peaceful than when he had first started. He has come to terms with himself, and he is at peace. No regrets. They charge In the battle, he gives his everything. He withholds nothing. Syl and he, closer to each other than any other being in the world, knowing each other perfectly, destroying Voidbringers left and right. Leading the Windrunners into battle, they crash into the Voidbringers. And he does give his everything. He might go out in an enormous blaze of glory, fighting Odium's Champion himself. He might step in front of a fatal blade, protecting Adolin or Shallan or even Lift. He might lead a doomed charge to break a path open for the other orders. He might not even die. But you know he will give everything he possesses. You know that he is honorable. Because he would accept nothing less from himself. And when the Battle ends, as the music quiets down. Kaladin, walking quietly home, the sun at his back. Heaven or Hearthstone, does it matter? He has fought honorably. He has done his absolute best, and he is fully at peace with himself. He is smiling. Syl flits around him, laughing with sheer joy. And Honor speaks. Well done.
  4. Basically Kal's theme for the whole of Way of Kings. Give it a listen? What I imagine as the song plays. Betrayed, beaten, suffering. Shouting as the slaver kills the ill slave. Running in the bridge runs, screaming as his friends die around him. Falling on teh ground, too exhausted to rise. Screaming for them to hurt him instead. His own crew hurling insults at him. Standing by the Honor Chasm as rain mingles with tears. Rising, standing, training his crew, falling back. Tossing in the highstorm, crying out as he is slammed against the walls. RIsing. Standing. Refusing to fall. Standing, glaring at the forces holding him down, saying he would not let them win. Talking to his crew. HIs crew saluting him. Him on the plains that day, as the battle rages on, struggling with himself. Rising, shouting, leaping across the chasm, bursting into Light. Radiant. Heroic, a man who had fought mighty odds and conquered, a man who had Risen above.
  5. Niiiiice. Honor is Dead, but I'll see what I can do. -Kal I'm pure! I'm so storming pure I practically belch rainbows! -Lift I ain't grouchy! I just have a low threshold for stupidity. -Teft
  6. Meta, he confirmed to me outright that he was fishing for information. And in the same message said something like "I don't actually have three Breaths, or do i? I don't know if you're evil"
  7. As I've told Meta, I myself received a PM from him on night zero, where he claimed to be a villager with three Breaths. When i called his bluff, he shrugged it off and asked if i had any information or suspicions. I don't know if this actually makes him suspicious, as i myself have been trying to contact most of you (including you, Plathar) In terms of reads right now, Sheep is accusing Magestar a bit too vehemently without any solid reasons. Sure, Araris did a good analysis, but Sheep was honestly vague about his reasons. I'm not accusing him yet, but I agree on watching him.
  8. Before, actually hahaha. The part where they're insulting and cursing him, right before he pulls off the kata. Still, cclose enough!!
  9. The Healer sat at a corner, a tad grumpy. How would he ever find his own people if no one would give a straight answer? Absently, he reached into his pouch for some herbs and passed them to the man who had approached him, advising him to chew on them, or boil them if he disliked the taste. The headache would be gone within the hour. Then he went back to sulking. Last night, someone has even claimed to be Hoid! That thrice cursed cosmeric meddler! He sighed and dived back into the crowd. This was going to take a while... Then he stopped, slapping himself mentally.Healer, Healer, pay attention to your surroundings! Spinning, he turned towards the man whom he had just passed the medicine, trying for a charming smile. "Hello, I'm the Healer!" The man looked back at him, his face a grimace from the bitter aftertaste. "Healer who?"
  10. Eh, friend Conq, Ecth is a guy. The avatar throws you off eh? Anyway, there are really only three reasons he lives. 1.) someone passed breath. unlikely, as no one claimed to do so, and no one died last night. 2.he got lucky at lottery 3.He was a potential returned. Of course, he'd claim the second one. We'll see.
  11. I think the word you're looking for is 'shattered', Stick
  12. Back on topic, Gyorn to Arbiter. Priest of Jaddeth who can basically go to any converted country and take control of it, is one of the highest ranks in the Derethi religion, and badass red armor. Then I become a small politician of a small Empire constantly struggling with other factions and even arbiters within my faction. Sigh
  13. I'm gonna sit this one out if it's all the same to you HAHA.
  14. You could always take a image file and resize it with Paint. Is what I did with my profile pic
  15. I'm Malaysian haha. Apa khabar? (Actually my Malay is terrible. I'm a Malaysian who can't speak his native language well ahaha)
  16. I took my the first step of obtaining my driving licence today, the rules and regulations of the road test. Its a fifty test question where you're tested on everything from signs, to the different traffic acts, to the different penalties for different acts, to scenarios where you have to choose the correct outcome or action. Man I was nervous. Turns out? 49/50 YASSSSS
  17. *groans *Vastra voice : Well then. Here we go again... Cosmere theme song plays
  18. Methinks Stick might be a touch sore after Surgebinding fell? But naah, shes' not that petty...right?
  19. The Healer returned to his corner, feeling more than a little glum. True, he hadn't exactly been expecting to be gratefully welcomed, but he couldn't help anyone at all if they didn't accept his ministrations. Still, cold rejection was something he had never experienced yet. He supposed they were being wise. No sense trusting each other, if they might have to kill each other. He tsked. Just as well his medical kit was full. He predicted injuries galore to rain down in the next few days. He then noticed a man and a girl standing by the side, actually having a conversation. A small spark of hope flared in his chest, a hope that they could actually work together civilly. Shouldering his kit, he made his way eagerly to find out what they were talking about.
  20. Why, Stick? Why?
  21. What's the raven cycle, @Daniyah?
