Oh it's the Crimson sea, I was just riffing off Tress' title where it's "(Hair term) of the (gem-named sea)". Braid is hoping to learn to reliably weaponize Crimson spores
-
I've been hesitating to join because I started a new job, so I probably won't be consistently hitting 5/10 posts a day, but heck, I love the setting and an Aman game. I'll play as... Braid, of the Ruby Sea

Things really turned around in cycle 5. I guess if KSOS had been around end of cycle the game would have ended very differently. Same with if they had remembered to kill me that cycle Again, thanks @Amanuensis for helping me kill CD and also proving me innocent! Thanks @Aeternum for filling in and doing a fantastic job in the last couple of cycles because we might very well have exed BBB without your contributions! Great job @IcedOutPenguin for figuring it out early and sticking with us, even if you could have (as Joe pointed out) showed your work a little more! @Hoid Slayer, you fumbled the ball the end, but your analysis was stellar in the first couple cycles! Nice job to the elim team @CoderDrag0n8, @ThatOneWorldhopper, and @KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren - You all got various amounts of suspicion through the game, but managed to deflect most of it. Control of the game was on a knife's edge at cycle 4, and we only won by a hair. You guys got real close, nice job! (And thanks for not killing me ) @Araris Valerian, a little sad I wasn't able to discuss the game with you more due to my absence, hope to be village again with you soon. Thanks for bringing Truthwatcher up so Aman could clear me. @xxGaea, sorry you died so quick, you seem fun! And Joe, I had fun, even if I couldn't PM anyone and was mostly in docs where no one talked I loved your writeups and how you depicted Evi (Please don't kill her) - my favorite part of this one was how you used Puzzle! The God's Breaths were a cool concept! The seniority part felt a little frustrating in the sense that when you're low in seniority you feel pretty disadvantaged, but it was an interesting twist. I had fun, thanks for running it
-
I really liked the role Evi came to play in the write-ups I'd be really sad for her to actually die having survived to the end of the game Put in my vote as whoever can save Evi I really like Lightweaver, but maybe Windrunner can be the protecty one
-
Wait can Windrunner save Evi can I change my vote
-
Awww did I still die? I'd hoped that with the last conspirator killed Evi might have just lived to the end of the game
-
Perhaps if your pinch hitter is willing to share some reasoning I'd be happy to listen Part of me is still slightly paranoid that you might be an elim who deliberately bussed TOW to fool us, but hey, let's see how it goes! Looks like everyone's voted, but I think Joe wants explicit confirmation from everyone that they're also voting for the cycle to end early.
-
Yeah I've got green text in my name in the writeup, I'm so cool And yes I'm definitely in for ending the game early. It feels like everyone who's been active has pretty much decided who they're voting on. @Aeternum @xinoehp512chime in? I'm pretty sure if we get 3 people voting on the same person the last person wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
-
I think what Joe means is that there's a chance that we misvote today and elims kill one of us, making it 1 villager and 1 elim, ie: assuming Xinoehp is the elim, we vote Aeternum out and Xinoehp kills me, leaving Penguin and Xinoehp alone in the next round. Penguin and Xinoehp both vote on each other, but because Xinoehp has seniority Penguin dies and we lose. We could still win in this scenario if we all vote to give Penguin Lightweaver's Breath so they have 2 votes, in which case Xinoehp dies. This would require us to all agree on who gets the Breath without letting Xinoehp know who to kill, which is unlikely. For the tie to occur, the villager has to have seniority. Maybe we vote Penguin out and Xinoehp kills Aeternum. That leaves me and Xinoehp alone next round, and if we vote each other, I have seniority and Xinoehp gets exed but I also die in the night. I might be a little confused, Joe, but I don't see a world where Dustbringer's power has to come in play because if the remaining villager has seniority they automatically win the exe in a 1v1 situation, without having to rely on Dustbringer. But hey, we're pretty sure Xinoehp is the last elim so @Aeternum @xinoehp512 want to tie a bow on it instead of dragging it out?
-
I... didn't die? I didn't die! On a cycle where Lightweaver is the Returned, no less! So the fact that I didn't die points to the fact that the Elims went inactive. Which given both Penguin and Aeternum were active up til rollover really only means that it has to be Xinoehp512. And, yknow, the fact that Penguin and Aeternum both voted on Worldhopper to be exed pretty much clears them completely. Evi opens her eyes. In front of her still remained Big Bad Badsworth and _______ looking at each other. The colors around her blazed bright, the way they had when Lord Truthwatcher had given her His Breath. In front of her, the Lady Lightweaver. Her new Goddess. "I..." She stuttered. "I thought I would be..." Lady Lightweaver smiled. "The Lady Willshaper has witnessed your trial and dealt with the traitorous As If. They are both departed from us now." Goddess... She looked around her. The two priests she had stayed up all night with debating, each relieved to be alive as well. Puzzle, hiding in the corner, sending her reassuring hums. Lady Lightweaver, giving her a smile that was a touch too knowing. She didn't know how to handle this. Her gods dying one by one. It was their choice, but... Lord Truthwatcher. Lady Willshaper... Lady Stoneward... Hell. If she survived all this, she could ask whatever she wanted. Maybe Lady Lightweaver would strike her down, or maybe they would have proven themselves to their gods. "If we exile the last traitor, Lady Lightweaver..." She began, hesitantly, "If we all survive..." She squeezed her eyes shut. Could you...stay? Teach me? Of...Puzzle, and the Place Between Worlds?"

Oh so it's not just me getting site lag. Good to know. I really like that you're trying to reason through this. I think you're village for me. Unfortunately I don't think I can't gather my thoughts enough to logic this before rollover. KSOS voted BBB/Aeternum this morning. I thought it was a TOW/BBB team but Aeternum is doing a lot to convince me they're village with the way they're trying to analyze instead of coast. So it's either TOW/KSOS, KSOS/Iced, or TOW/Iced, yes? I think I'm ok with 2/3. Evi closes her eyes. Knowing that death was coming. Hoping she'd done enough. Hope I see you again, Lady Stoneward. Puzzle, you're extremely irritating, but I love you. Find someone else worthy. Goodbye.

That's a lot of analysis for a pinch hitter who got subbed in 24 hours before rollover, I'm really impressed. Yeah just based off actual contributions alone, KSOS/Xinoeph has generally leaned neutral/elim for me, it was just how they were leading the vote last cycle and how CD and TOW jumped in to vote on them too before Aman and I managed to steer the vote to CD at the very last hour that dropped them in suspicion for me. There just seemed to be no reason for TOW and CD to jump on KSOS (at the same minute, no less) if KSOS was an elim. With Penguin at 4 votes and KSOS at 3, Penguin would have died. When they jumped on KSOS, if Aman and I hadn't changed our votes the only candidate would have been KSOS. If KSOS was elim, they'd have just killed an elim for no reason when they could have killed Penguin by doing nothing. And my math might be wrong, but I think we would have lost then? That's the main reason why I think KSOS/Xinoeph might be clear. It could have been a bus, but there was literally no reason to bus when they would have won by doing nothing. Edit 1: (Also could you explain TMI and F3) Edit 2: I am also inclined to agree it might be a team of newer players, which makes the Araris/Aman paranoia that there must be an elim between one of the veteran players (Araris, Aman, me) very funny in hindsight.
-
Yeaaah you did just sub into a game where we're one misfire from dying and you're a suspected elim All I'm asking for is a vote from you, to see where your loyalties lie. If you're village, I'd like to you band with us and vote on TOW. If you vote for anyone else, that's, yknow, suspect, but it'd be interesting to hear your reasoning. I recognize this is sounding a little 'vote with us or die' and Penguin and I might be wrong with TOW but at this point, four hours before rollover, it's 50/50 we all live to see another cycle anyway (Less for me I'm definitely dying tonight )
-
Yeahhh being a confirmed villager probably means I'm going to die tonight. Fun. @Aeternum @xinoehp512 @ThatOneWorldhopper Any thoughts? Two of you are probably elims but I'd just like to know who you're voting. How bout we give Joe a nice night of no pre-rollover shenanigans?
-
Hi new friends! You've both joined at a pretty important cycle, where there's 3 villagers and 2 elims, meaning it's important that all the villagers work together. I have reads on your previous counterparts' actions, but I'm interested to see how you will act! @xinoehp512 You replaced Kaladin's Sense of Humor Spren, whose actions are rather neutral leaning, but I am deciding to trust because known elim CD with ThatOneWorldhopper tried to execute you yesterday. KSOS had suspicions on Bigbadbagsworth (now Aeternum) but I'm asking that you join our vote for now, unless KSOS left you any notes on why they think BBB is more likely to be Elim than TOW. @Aeternum You replaced BBB, who had a fairly perplexing history of action such as voting alongside known elim CD for almost every cycle, and then threatening to exe himself. Do you have anything you want to share? Would you place a vote on TOW, anyone else, or yourself (like your counterpart did )?
-
Okay, let's do the multiple worlds thing. First I think I think TOW is almost definitely from the way they voted with CD to kill Penguin. World 1: BBB is the other Elim. BBB's self-voting stunt was dumb and made me want to clear him, but the fact remains that BBB and CD have voted together every cycle so far. They both were on Twinstorm first and second cycles, on BBB the 3rd, and it was only last cycle that BBB didn't show up. TOW is voting BBB, which muddies the waters a little, but it might be a bus. Most likely in my opinion. World 2: KSOS is the other Elim. Yes, I said I was inclined to trust them from the way they almost died. I also think their confusion about voting Aman this cycle was real and not manufactured (might be wrong). In terms of voting patterns, though, they voted with CD and BBB on Twinstorm in cycle 2, then on Araris in cycle 3. On cycle 4 they were the first to vote on Penguin, which Worldhopper jumped on within 5 minutes, and CD just a couple of hours later. They did rescind their vote on Penguin after Penguin answered, though. Its possible, but less likely in my mind. World 3: Penguin is the other Elim They voted on Araris 1st cycle as a retribution vote, didn't vote cycle 2, KSOS cycle 3, and initially voted CD cycle 4 but switched to KSOS again as to not die. Reasonable in my mind. They put CD on their list of trusted players early cycle 3, but then has been consistently going after KSOS, TOW, and CD. Least likely in my mind. In any case, I'm fine with voting Worldhopper first and looking at our options again if we make it to next cycle.
-
Personally I think that with CD and Worldhopper voting on KSOS at the last hour there was a very good chance of KSOS dying instead of CD. It was only when Aman and I switched our votes to CD that they panicked and switched their votes to Penguin instead. It could have been a bus but that makes no sense as we would be in the same situation with an elim down. So KSOS I apologize for doubting you. Penguin, will you vote with me?
-
I feel like you might want to check who died last night Assuming that there are still 2 elims that means there are only 3 villagers so we need every villager voting on this one. @BigBadBagsworthwe need you here .
-
I uh... what? For a 2 page cycle a lot happened! I was honestly expecting the game to end right there. In hindsight, I guess it really was a game where Aman, Araris and I were all villagers after all, which I was honestly not expecting. Thought Aman had a strong chance of being evil even after everything. So what happened was that Aman, Penguin, and I were voting KSOS, while CD and TOW were on Penguin. Up til an hour before rollover, when CD probably thought they were safe and voted KSOS, and Worldhopper jumped on KSOS too, claiming they wanted to extend the cycle. At that point, I knew something was up and changed my vote, believing it wouldn't be enough to matter. But Aman also voted on CD, causing Truthwatcher to join in? Which just managed to edge out the Penguin vote. Which I think is enough to fully clear Penguin, and tentatively clear KSOS... which leaves... BBB and Worldhopper as the remaining elims?? Now The One Worldhopper could have been a confused villager who earnestly, truly believed it was Penguin. But it's not looking good for you buddy. EDIT: Aman. Props to you. Even in death you 1) Got Truthwatcher to make a tie 2) Broke the tie because of your seniority and 3) Cleared me publicly. Respect. Everything was falling apart. Everything. After returning from The World Between with Puzzle, Evi bore witness to the senseless deaths of four more priests and two gods, one of whom she'd served almost all her life. There was just so much... madness. Iggdraz brandishing a knife threatening to kill himself. Ekkar, the passionate young priest who fought so hard to be heard, turning on Arlun the night before he died. Arlun, grizzled and kind, picking up the dagger and stabbing himself to prove his own innocence. Kosm... She'd never figured it out. If they really had a connection or not. And now Kosm was dead. Gone. And yet, even if they had shared nothing but a passing glance... Her last acts had been helping her to expose one of the traitors. Her last wish had been to Truthwatcher, who had in the presence of all tested her loyalty and found it firm. She owed Kosm so, so much, and she was gone. Lady Stoneward. The Resourceful. Evi missed her dearly. And now to know that As If - former head priest of her Lady, former colleague now shuffled back into the same court - As If had tried to get ________ killed, which would have allowed CD to escape. To know that her former head priest might have been a murderer... Well, it made her blood boil. A whisper of a truth on her lips. An oath in her heart. Mist in her hands. Evi stalked the halls with a gleaming Blade, seeking for justice to be done.
-
Welp. Guess we got played. KSOS CD if it even matters anymore
-
Oh great 3 votes on Penguin. Very nice. Very coordinated. Something we didn't reckon on is the Returned voting with the senior priests. If the elims are all senior priests we're dead.

"Hoid Slayer does strange things, like saving Penguin last game. " KSOS 5/9/2025 Hoid Slayer if you're reading this, add one to the list I was really confused/annoyed at the sudden Araris switch last couple hours before rollover. So Hoid Slayer suddenly decided to turn on Araris, and Araris, exasperated, voted for himself to prove his innocence. And then KSOHS joined in, which just seems opportunistic. I mean, there's an argument to be made that knowing Araris would flip village makes it a dumb Elim move, unless it was to save BBB, which doesn't quite make sense either because that train was allowed to lead for a significant time and would have actually killed BBB if not for Hoid Slayer's great idea. Still. KSOHS seems perfectly happy to let either die, and maybe took the chance to get rid of one of the most vocal villagers. At this point there has to be an Elim in either KSOS and CD. So I'm interested to see what happens. Other thoughts There's still a world where Aman is evil, and his reluctance to exe Araris might be part of that. But he's also voting KSOHS so let's see what happens. (Btw still happy to continue our RP if you are) I also noticed Worldhopper active at EoD and they've always talked in the doc beginning of cycle. I gave them a tentative clear before but now I'm more suspicious of them. I also don't know who has Stoneward's Breath. I voted for myself and I thought Penguin would too but I didn't get it.
-
Great. Amazing. We lost 2 of our most active people because of that stupid last minute vote switch.
-
This is so stupid. Can someone remind me what Lylo and Exlo mean? It feels like Aman, Araris, and I are agreeing that at least one of Ksauce and CD are probably Elim. Now that the vote has been pulled of BBB, Can't we pile on CD and make that count?
