  1. I believe we are waiting to see if he does get lynched, because what would be the point to bring someone in to die right now? Also you are, and what I mean by that is since we lost a member last night, its not bringing it back to anything, its crippling us further while letting Cett remain strong. Edit: I should add that I feel like it was actually Lopen who was punished for Aman's actions, by association, if Maill is right that he was killed solely for faction reasons alone. But I am still not entirely convinced it wasn't because of his seeking.
  2. Completely agree, that's why we are suggesting doing it this way rather than trying to attack them, And we understand that this is how you all feel, but remember with a pinch hitter you are not really voting for Aman anymore, you are voting for whoever would be replacing him. Killing him is punishing the rest of us, not even him.
  3. >.> edit after my response, when Rae is on next I'm sure she'd be happy to confirm just for that reason alone, however nice attempt at confusing people to take the heat off your faction.
  4. *Please read carefully before you respond guys This is long winded I'm sorry* Okay, I understand I’m biased because Aman is my teammate, but for every non-Cett voting for him, please do me a solid and ask yourselves if punishing him, even though he’s talking with the GM about finding a pinch hitter and not posting (which is completely removing the entire reason people decided to get rid of him in the first place) is more important than making sure Cett doesn’t get the leg up on the rest of us? Because that is exactly what is going to happen. I also just want to put out there that Aman is working on giving up his spot in the game mostly because he doesn't want him and his reputation to define Venture, and attempting to give the rest of us a fair chance. Anyway, Aman may have lied about some things to save himself, but that is not the intent of Venture. We are not a house of murder and lies, unlike some of you have said, despite the results of his actions. I am being honest about my faction, as well as pretty much just handed you all the names of two team mates on a silver platter. And once again, the only reason we attacked anyone last night is because we believed that we were going to get ganged up on... we decided to send all of our koloss against Lekal, that way when they attacked we would lose none to defending.. since we would likely lose a member anyway. Instead it was an all out battle between us two, and our numbers are really not looking good right now. We have no idea where Penrod stands, but given they were the first factions to lose not one, but two players, we are guessing you can’t beat, or even defend from Cett, either. Both our House and Lekal know that Cett has 7 koloss. Like I said earlier, the only other option would be for all of us to attack them at night. Of course we’ve already pointed out the issues with openly discussing that. If we were to follow through with a plan like that, at least one of our Houses, but more likely all of them, would lose a member too, and we’d be right back to where we started. So far Cett has been hiding from the spotlight, and it’s working for them. We can’t let them get any further ahead or else they will eventually trample us. It’s unlikely that Straw is Spiked, given he just volunteered to be their face (which actually made me lol, just the way he said it ). But we know that Burnt is on Straw’s team and besides her vote on PK on D1 (the actual vote that made it so PK couldn’t save himself, despite Aman trying to help PK get it back to a tie) she’s been remaining entirely neutral, making self-proclaimed pointless votes (like she just did). A pretty good tactic for a spiked, isn’t it? Either way, it helps even out the odds for everyone if we lynch her, or another Cett if anyone has a better suggestion. I don't think that Straw is strategically a good choice, because of his low activity level and his inability to be in doc, he probably is not contributing to his team as much as others. And once again I'd rather go for someone that might also be a spiked, just seems like a better target all around (in a way even Cett would be gaining from losing their mole, if that is the case).
  5. *facepalm* I said I could have come up with some rational to say they are neither, but I chose to tell the truth. Come on now, read carefully
  6. Well yeah, I mean after what Aman pulled, doesn't it make sense that people would try to separate themselves from him.. especially since our whole faction was going to punished for one persons actions.. Anyway, we are trying to lynch a Cett, because it would be the most strategic option at this point, unfortunately outing them is the only way to prevent this strategy from failing by losing one of them instead. I probably could have come up with some rational for why I know they are not Cett but not Venture either, but what would be the point? You'd figure it out eventually anyway.
  7. @Mailliw73 Nope try again, oh and I just wanted to add that being "fairly certain" that that is why Lopen was killed isn't exactly evidence either, it does make for a really good cover though, to justify killing someone that might be outing a Spiked. No worries
  8. Well, there goes that Idea, Joe Maill. Rae is not a Cett either, I'll promise you that. Got any other suggestions?
  9. No, we are not sure, that is why I asked the questions I asked. There’s no way we can be with the actual Seeker being dead. It just seems oddly convenient Lopen was killed over Aman. People were insistent that Aman was going to be lynched next if he survived the night, so it’s possible the Spiked reasoned that if they killed the real Seeker that would be more evidence against Aman and the village would waste a cycle killing him instead of one of them. That might have been reason alone for the decision. But the fact remains that Cett is pretty significantly ahead of the rest of us and if Joe is Cett he is a good target either way. Also, Joe has posted several times on other threads around the shard other than this game. He could very well be choosing to lurk because of his conversion. And there’s the fact that his issue with his internet didn’t start until D2; that’s N0 and N1 he could have been Spiked with them having no way to predict his inactivity. @Nyali You're missing the point, it wasn't a failed seeking. Lopen was killed this past night cycle, so there were no results to his seeking, he was killed when Joe was his target for seeking. Edit: Just to be clear, my main argument is not that he is Spiked. It is the fact that Cett is the strongest and therefore the lynch should be targeted towards them, however it is important to point out that Joe might be Spiked which makes him a better lynch target than any random Cett.
  10. Well, I was trying to be ambiguous but I think it is pretty obvious that I am a Venture. Since Aman is no longer posting and no one else on my team wants to risk being revealed I am going to be the "face of Venture" as Maill is for Lekal and Nyali is for Penrod. For starters, Aman did lie about being a seeker, Lopen was the actual seeker. Lopen did seek Alv N1, so that information was not a lie. The plan for Lopen last night cycle was for him to seek Joe, however he died before we got those results, obviously. At this point we are fairly certain that all of our factions have been compromised. It is my opinion, as well as the opinion of my faction mates that we were compromised before N2 and that Lopen was killed so he could not reveal the information that he was about to receive. So my questions for you guys, is Joe a Penrod or Lekal? To the faction who targeted Lopen, who first suggested it and what was their reasoning? Lopen would make a good target given his apparent faction affiliation at the time, however if Venture was already supposed to be targeted by a Koloss kill what would be the advantage of killing another of us at the same time, leaving other factions at a greater advantage? Which brings me to my next point. Venture went all out on Lekal last night because we thought we were going to be attacked by all of the other factions and wanted to at least take someone down with us, from a faction who hadn't lost anyone yet. However that plan backfired as no one ended up going for us at all. Mail apparently did not plan on attacking us, but rather tried to get everyone else to use their resources instead. Cett decided to lay low and keep their numbers high. They have 7(!) Koloss right now, we obviously have very little because of the attack, Lekal too, and Penrod is already at a disadvantage because of their low numbers to earn boxings. Cett is the strongest faction right now both in size and strength, and if the rest of us stand any chance of overpowering them we need to get them on a more even playing field. Having all of us attack them at night is not an ideal plan, because of our already low defenses and the risk of them taking out one or more of us at the same time. My solution: If Joe is not a Lekal or a Penrod he must be a Cett, if he was in fact protected from a scanning last night then he is very likely a Spiked as well. The Spiked are just as big of a threat as any other faction, if not more (especially now that they are 4) and if we can kill two birds with one stone right now, we should absolutely take that Opportunity. We are already at a disadvantage to Cett so we need to take out one of them, but if our theory about the Lopen kill is true and Joe turns out to be spiked too, jackpot.
  11. It's been real, I know I said last bit of wisdom, but I will grant you one last thing. I am telling the truth, and you are being deceived very very effectively, I'm not going to give any more than that because, I can't just let either of you win... I still need to cause some chaos after all...
  12. Unless you are claiming Lekal I'm not sure how you would know that. I would assume that Stink was Venture since he is the only one who died from a Koloss attack. If that is the case, then I would imagine that Aman was not actually in Venture because of how much Stink openly opposed him. So please explain to me how you are so sure that Aman is Venture? I'm not saying you are wrong, but a little more explanation for why I should believe you would be really helpful. The votes for Aman last cycle were (mostly) your handy work, that is rallying. And if the Koloss attack that killed Stink was in fact on Venture, then I'm inclined to believe you rallied again I'm also not saying that doing any of this is bad, its just hypocritical to use this argument to kill someone (which is exactly what you did to Aman last cycle) when you have been doing the same things as him, just in a different way as you put it yourself
  13. I guess my problem is that you pushed Aman into doing something that everyone else thinks is horrible, and are getting what you wanted at the end of the day. It just feels so extreme, especially since he is willing to leave the game over it. I guess I should have been more clear. I understand that lying is part of it, what bothers me is that Maill is rallying the masses against someone for doing the exact same things he himself is doing, aside from the bigger deception, which in my opinion is Maills fault anyway. He is my biggest suspect, he believes that the spiked are a faction, and he is doing all he can to ensure his faction wins. Who would be the biggest threat to the "spiked faction?" Most likely Aman. Spiked or not though, I agree with your reasoning completely.
  14. Three more dead and non of them Spiked.... we are slowly growing smaller while they are growing larger, great job making this easy for them everyone! Maill you lied about (at least some) of your Venture info for sure, but think Aman's lying to save himself was a horrible thing to do.. hypocrite.. You say Aman is dangerous for his ability to get everyone to move or follow an idea, and attempt the same strategy he did the night before... I feel like you haven't done anything useful but point fingers at Aman (before his lie, for no obvious reason I could see) forcing him into a corner, and as a result out of the whole game if what he said in the previous cycle are still his intentions. I could see you wanting him out of the game if you were the inquisitor because he was saying that that was his biggest focus, and as a regular player, he would be very dangerous to you as the inquisitor. I think you are misguiding people on purpose, you have said from the beginning that you are not worrying about the spiked, just treating them as another faction. They may be the same size (or one away) as at least one faction at this point, and have you done anything to prevent that? No. You're my biggest suspect right now.
  15. THAT is by far the most suspicious thing I have heard yet. The spiked are a threat to us all unless you are one.
  16. As long as you are still taking sign ups I will Join I'm kind of glad the start was pushed off a bit I wouldn't have been able to make the commitment sooner. I'm going to stick with the name Jaena (I like it, it's pretty) not sure of my back story yet...
  17. Well my hopes were crushed.. I really thought I was on to something and actually right this time >.> oh well. And given how upset I was about Mails obvious lying, I can't condone your lies either Aman. That being said, I completely understand your reasoning (both of you honestly, even though I don't like it, this is a game after all), because why would you just let yourself die rather than try anything. I am not sure that I 100% believe you are innocent, but I am also not sure I believe you are spiked. I say that because of my own suspicions on Orlok, that I could see you wanting to push the lynch to someone who you suspected for good reason rather than letting yourself die. I understand how people could also see that as a spiked wanting to protect themselves by pushing it elsewhere. The only thing that dissuades me from thinking that you are evil, is the fact that you wouldn't have done such a thing just to get yourself killed that very next night anyway, yes as the inquisitor it would allow you to get one more spike out there, but that would leave your team at 3 and those aren't good odds. I feel like the inquisitor would want to preserve him or herself further than just one night this early in the game. Personally, I think an Inquisitor would have allowed one of their spikes to be lynched to gain trust and keep themselves alive long game (one small sacrifice to get to use the rest of their spikes) rather than a non spiked, knowing it would get them killed anyway. I have thought about this a lot since reading through the thread a couple of times and this is where I stand at the moment. I would be willing to test your seeker abilities further if you are not coin shot tonight. And if you really decide to leave the game because of this I am sorry to see you go. You are an active player that certainly makes these games interesting (even if your accuracy did frustrate the rust out of me in LG22 ). I would have kept my vote where it was last night regardless because I don't think its right to kill people based on their reputations, however this is only my second game and I guess I don't fully understand the danger of leaving the skilled players alive, at the same time I would always rather vote for a genuine suspicion of mine than someone who might be a threat at some point (given that this is a faction game, you would be a threat to me eventually but not yet).
  18. Since I am going to die anyway, and have accepted that, I am going to not worry so much about focusing my attention here. I would just like to add a disclaimer though, and it is going to be my last bit of wisdom. Killing me will not win the game for you. Do with that what you will This has truly been an experience, glad I decided to give it a shot, and thanks for letting me last this long!
  19. I hope this means that my theory and gut were right.. I would love some assurance that they are not useless Keeping my vote right where it is. Lynching each other just for faction reasons is exactly how the spiked would win. We need to at least give this a chance, if Aman is lying we lynch him next, or he gets killed by coins, either way this seems like a much safer option for the rest of us.
  20. Sounds like your house is the strongest then.. voiding your claims completely.
  21. So you would have to have more than 2 Kandra, assuming that you looked at both the Koloss and Boxings of Venture and are making an educated guess about Aman's faction. So you would need to have at least 4 Kandra to have gotten the same information from another faction in order to know for sure that Venture was stronger than yours and the other. 4 Kandra isn't dangerous? As far as I see it, you are either lying about something or making really really strong assumptions.
  22. @Mailliw73 So if you spent all your Kandra for the night looking at one house, how could you possibly assume Venture is the strongest, if you have no definite information to counter that other than what your specific house has. Its just such a gross assumption no matter how you look at it.
  23. I'm kind of confused here, there is no way Maill could know all of that without having sent 3 Kandra all to Venture.. I mean I guess that is possible but why would you limit all your info to one house, and what are the chances that your random Kandra scan actually targeted Aman.. especially since you were gunning for him D1 and accusing him of being in Venture before it was even possible for you to know that. This bandwagon is not sitting right with me at all.
  24. Okay... but she was arguing that the inquisitor would not put themselves in that kind of spotlight, so I was countering that by saying how I think the inquisitor would do exactly that. They would come off as pro-village and helpful, and against the thing that they are. Maybe that is something we all assume, but it was why I didn't agree with her.. not sure how that is "bad."
