I continue cautiously walking forwards, figuring that continuing to move will be more useful than standing still.

I walk back a few steps and turn around to put my right hand on the wall, switching my rope to my left hand. I start walking back to the entrance.

I move my hand backwards to the place of the transition. Moving closer to the wall I turn to the left to continue following it. I try to soften the sound of my breathing, nervous by the way it echoes around the place.

Mari heard Lusk shout and burst through the kitchen door into the common room, where she found Lusk and a second man standing nearly frozen, the second man slowly spinning around. Speed bubble, she thought. She tossed a fork towards them, watching as it suddenly stopped in midair as it hit the boundary, showing her how far out it was. She gave a quick nod and walked around the boundary, following the spinning of the man inside it, the one who was likely their target. At some point a slow wave of power suddenly emanated from him, suddenly rushing forwards once it hit the boundary, turning a large part of the wall to dust. Mari moved over to the hole at the same time as her target started to slowly move towards it as well. She looked at him impassively. She threw a quick glance at the fork she had thrown in, checking how slowly it was falling, and used it to make an estimate of how slow the bubble was. Now everything was just a matter of timing, and that was something she had always been good at. When the violinist left the bubble he suddenly shot forwards, and she reached out, grabbing onto him and tapping enough mass from her iron minds the floor cracked beneath her, hoping to stop him or throw him to the ground.

Karin looked around, thinking about how she could switch to a better outfit for the hot spring. Eventually she shrugged. It wasn't as if there were many people around at her current location, and they all knew about her abilities. Taking off her shoes she tapped her foot on the ground and a number of tendrils shot out, coming together into a circle around her. Immediately a thin wall grew from it, forming a dome around her. A few minutes later the dome collapsed again, tendrils retreating back into Karin's body. She stood in the center, holding her old clothes and backpack in her arms, everything folded up nicely, and instead she was wearing her standard dress. She quickly walked down to the hot spring, looking forwards to a proper bath. She put down her backpack at a safe distance and then lowered herself into the water, sighing in joy. She ignored the other people in the water and instead moved to the deeper center of the pool. Once she got to a point where she had to thread water to stay above the surface she expelled all the air from her lungs and let herself sink down to the bottom, sitting down. She stretched out and relaxed, looking upwards at the ceiling of the cave, enjoying the silence and the warmth.
