Fun fact: jellyfish don't have brains. Would life as a jellyfish, unable to read Sanderson books, be better than life as an enlightened human known as a Sanderfan? -

My recent pet peeve: the cord on my headphones. It's SIX FEET LONG, which is waaaaay longer than I need, so I've been trying to keep most of its length coiled up so I don't accidentally sit or step on it. I bind the coils together with a plastic twist tie, but the coils keep slipping out and dangling almost down to the ground, getting caught on stuff. :/

Fries

Lots of diners and fast food places serve both fries and shakes. Just in my area I can think of Wendy's, Burger King, McDonald's, Five Guys, Culver's, Arby's, Coney's, and Chick-fil-a. I've never been into dipping my fries in the shakes, though.

Recently became a Shardbearer. Is there a different rank for Full Shardbearer, or is that implied in my current rank?

Yikes! I hope you and anyone else involved are not injured. I also hope your car is not badly damaged. -

@Assassin in Burgundy Three years ago I managed to dislocate my kneecap just from sitting down on a mattress, so... you're not the only one who's gotten injured in a lame way. XD -

@Jondesu I am one of those weirdos who listens to Christmas music sporadically all year round, so I have some definite favorites. "A Family Christmas" album by the Piano Guys "The Christmas Rush" song by Mike Tompkins "That's Christmas to Me" and "PTX-Mas" albums by Pentatonix And of course "Wizards in Winter" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and their rendition of "Carol of the Bells."

I realize the conversation has mostly moved on from cakes with or without milk, but I had an idea. @Delightful, would the cake be acceptable to eat with meat if you used a plant-based dairy substitute like almond or soy milk? -
@Slowswift No big deal. Just means I got to eavesdrop on other people's conversations while I ate my Five Guys. XD

@Delightful I haven't heard the phrase "good arvo" before. Is that a saying unique to Australia? -
@Straw Ok, I guess I'll move it to higher priority on my never-ending list of things to read. XD

Watched the two-part pilot of The Librarians tonight. Some of you may remember the movies of the same name starring Noah Wyle; this show is a continuation of his story. I found it highly entertaining, if slightly cliche at times. Looking forward to catching up to the current season.

@Delightful Oooooh, that sounds like something I'd enjoy! *adds to never-ending "to-read" shelf*

Funny story: I was on a birdwatching trip with my mom this spring, and we'd been seeing egrets all over the place in watery ditches next to the road. We stopped at a little fast-food place surrounded by wet fields and I saw a white thing in the distance that at first I thought was another egret. Then I got out my binoculars and took a closer look and decided it was just a plastic bag. My mom, seeing that I was looking through the binocs, asked what I'd spotted, so I said, "Just a plastic bag," and pointed. Then she got her binocs and looked at it, and it turned out to actually be an egret after all. XD

@Queen Elsa Steelheart But but but what about "you can't eat just one potato chip"? By that definition Pringles are not very single at all.
