  1. @Clockwork Please explain the third one? The first one was easy and I think I've figured out the second one, but the last still has me baffled... In other news, I started cackling like a madwoman when I saw this:
  2. You know you're a Sanderfan when someone asks for fandom-related name suggestions for their new cat and you immediately start trying to think of a Cosmere character who fits the cat's personality and appearance.
  3. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles Makes sense. The mountains here in Utah always get more snow than the valleys. I guess my mental image of Texas didn't include mountains or high elevations.
  4. @StrikerEZ I would think getting no snow in Texas, a very southern state, is pretty normal. Am I missing something?
  5. On today's edition of Sunbird's Weird Brain: "You Know You're Addicted to SFF When..." I was at work checking my library's catalogue of magazines and journals and came across two titles that seriously confused my brain: Studia Neophilologica and Organ Transplantation in France. My brain decided that they must say Studia Necrophilia and Organ Transplantation in Space. XD
  6. You have an adorable bird for your name and profile picture, and I always smile when I see them.

  8. There's a type of curry I enjoy that my dad introduced me to from Japan. It uses a box mix for the sauce that you can buy at most Asian import stores, and the mix comes in three different levels of spiciness. (I like the mild flavor because I have like zero tolerance for anything spicy, but there's also medium-hot and hot.) Other than the sauce, you put chopped onions, carrots, chicken, and potatoes in it, and then you can serve it with rice (or not, if you don't have a rice cooker or don't feel like going to the extra effort). Here's a photo of the box: But just FYI, if you have any food allergies, make sure and check the ingredient lists because I guarantee all three flavors contain foods you never would've thought would be in there. (Seriously, combinations like bananas, peanuts, honey, and cheese, all in the same flavor.)
  9. I dreamed I was Toothless once. Somehow I managed to fight off Smaug as he was attempting to burn down my house.
  10. Hahahaha. My grandpa used to teach geology at a local school, so he was friends with a bunch of other teachers in the science department. Well, one day the chem teacher was cleaning out some old beakers, bottles, and test tubes, washing them out with water in the sink. He came across a bottle that had something crystallized in it, so he set it under the running water so it could fill up. Took a few steps away and got a bad feeling like he should RUN NOW, so he followed the hunch and booked it out the door of the chem lab just in time to avoid getting flattened by the explosion of sodium metal in the bottle reacting with the tap water. All the windows in the chem lab blew out, but nobody was seriously hurt, thankfully.
  11. Congrats on surpassing your writing goal, @TwiLyghtSansSparkles!
  12. Are you made of copper and tellurium? 'Cause you're CuTe!
  13. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles yeah, I realize that. I'm just trying to say that just because ignoring them might be the most effective deterrent IRL doesn't mean I approve of Darkness brushing it off or pretending that Delightful has no legitimate reason to be offended. I know you don't think swastikas are funny, believe me.
  14. Still, swastikas are never funny.

  16. @Hemalurgic_Headshot hahaha. I only know where Zagreb is because it's the headquarters of my brother's LDS mission. XD
  17. SO COLD
  18. @Hemalurgic_Headshot Zagreb and Zaxby's seems like a weird combination... do they have Zaxby's in Zagreb? Do you even live near Zagreb?
  19. @AerionBFII Yeah, I remember being impressed by the world-building in book 1 as well as the plot twists and the explosive climax, but the buildup was a bit slow for my liking. Then again, similar things could probably be said about The Way of Kings, lol. I think I'll give the series another try.
  20. @AerionBFII I'll be interested to hear your opinion on Melissa McPhail's books. I read the first one and had mixed feelings about it, haven't picked up any of the others yet.
