  1. You know you're a Sanderfan when you're searching Google for pictures of Wayne and come across one of your own memes from the Shard's meme thread:
  2. I started up looking ad slogans to see if there were any meme-worthy ones, and this is what I ended up making:
  3. You should have seen all the junk I made during the US presidential election last November... LOTS of stress relief going on then, but I haven't shown them to anyone outside my immediate family because I know it'd just start a flame war. XD
  4. Hehe, thanks! Making up jokes in meme form is one of my methods of stress relief and a convenient creative outlet since I usually don't have the large chunks of free time necessary to draw these days.
  5. @Darkness Ascendant My "1000 files" statement may have been a bit misleading... I save duplicates of basically all my memes so that I have a Photoshop file I can go back and edit if I want and a JPEG for the web. But still, I'm baffled that in the ~4 years I've had this laptop I have never saved that template until now.
  6. So this idea for a meme has been bouncing around in my head, and I opened Photoshop to actually make it and this basically sums up what happened: The situation was easily remedied by a quick visit to Google, though. ALL HAIL GOOGLE, which made this silliness possible: (A spoof on the Pringles slogan "You don't just eat 'em.")
  7. So I finished Duskfall tonight and it was pretty awesome. (Awesome enough that I'll probably write an in-depth review of it in the near future!) The "About the Author" says Christopher Husberg went to BYU and was mentored by Brandon Sanderson, so that's cool too. =) Now I have a dilemma: what to read next? XD I've got a giant pile of physical books that I need to read, including but not limited to: Dragonwatch by Brandon Mull The Caretaker's Guide to Fablehaven by Brandon Mull Ones and Zeroes by Dan Wells Mortal Coil by Derek Landy (This would be a re-read for me) Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan Demon Road by Derek Landy Lockwood & Co: The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud Back Off, I'm a Ninja by Natalie Whipple The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan Defy by Sara B Larson Plus a few from less-known authors that I feel like I should read and review sooner rather than later: Storms by Kevin L Nielsen Dr Wolf: Dragon's Bayne by Cheree Alsop The Lady and the Frog by L Palmer Any arguments for which one I should read next?
  8. @Slowswift Is that Ronald Reagan on a Velociraptor??
  9. I do enjoy Cosmere Club; my problem right now is I'm just so rusting busy! :[
  10. Oh man, bleeder, now I'm imagining you as Robin from the recent Lego Batman movie. XD Teenage sidekick in a blindingly brightly colored costume! (Including tights, of course!)
  11. @Mestiv Oww! Sorry to hear your cat attacked you with an alarm clock. *gingerly places a Band-aid on your nose* @A Budgie @Darkness Ascendant Thanks for the hugs, you guys. *hugs back*
  12. Ugh. It's been a cremmy Monday. Long rant ahead:
  13. Currently doubling up on Duskfall by Christopher Husberg and a re-read of The Hero of Ages. I'm really enjoying them both. Duskfall feels different than a lot of other epic fantasy I've read, and since one of my good friends reviewed it very positively I have pretty high expectations for the 1/3 of the book I have left.
  14. You get one of Steris's vials of metal flakes in castor oil! *inserts purple bowler hat*
  15. I should be writing a paper but instead I'm meme-ing. HELP Belated Julius Caesar joke for the Ides of March: Does anyone remember the "brushie" meme? (showing my age here, LOL) Star Wars + cats = day instantly improves 100%. Bookworm problems:
  16. @Delightful
  17. I've hit 101 species on my semester bird list for my ornithology class! *happy dance*
  18. You get an exploding cake. *inserts a single Firebringer's lens*
  19. You get a calzone stuffed with dynamite! *inserts Prof's goggles*
  20. Sure do. Since I started using it, I've amassed a huge library of free or 99-cent Kindle books that I'll probably never get around to reading. XD
  21. You get some epic theme music. *inserts Mars*
  22. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles This is for you. Came in the Saturday edition of my daily email from BookBub.
  23. Two posts containing musical themes for Kaladin: A theme for Shallan: "Illusions" by Two Steps from Hell (Credit goes to Doc12 for choosing this music for Shallan)
  24. Okay I found the thread. It's kinda old, so that probably explains why you didn't find it. The music suggestions are kinda interspersed with trailer and poster ideas for Stormlight movies (this was before the announcement that the whole Cosmere had gotten optioned for film), but Doc12 PM'd me some more music ideas in the past few months. I'll dig those up too. While I'm digging, here is another of Doc's brilliant combinations of music and Cosmere (Mistborn this time):
