  1. I thought this too but someone posted a WoB that Drehy spoke it only and that Skar is still only proto, behind Lopen in advancement. I wanna say it was this thread but I'm too tired to check, sorry.
  2. My problem with these ships is how the heck can they mass produce these and, most importantly, how can two enemies fight a war between themselves without swathes of land / towers separate and protected from said enemies. Are they going to have a hundred chull teams out there and hundreds of mechanisms elevating and lowering along Urithiru? What is the culminating point?
  3. Lirin would rather die than hurt the enemy. He'd be nothing but a hypocrite. Worse than Rock.
  4. I don't like Lirin anymore. What the hell did he expect Kaladin to do? Beg the Singers to leave? He gave them the option to leave peaceably. They chose to attack him. He fights back and Lirin gets all pissy. I think Lirin will die and that will snap Kaladin completely to where Dalinar makes him the surgeon mentioned in Syls interlude chapter.
  5. I'm not certain she'd be able to keep enough Stormlight to keep him disguised for so long, especially if it takes months to bring the Honorspren around.
  6. Question based on the Amazon RoW description. So why send Shallan and Adolin to visit the honorspren? Why not send Elsecallers since they are the primary liaisons? The only thing I can think of is that Adolin has spent lots of time talking to Maya and she is slowly reviving. Sending Adolin to demonstrate this would be smart. If not, it'd be extremely stupid to send a guy with a dead spren to convince the honorspren to recommit...
  7. I don't think you meant Shallan, as she and Adolin have a different mission. At least according to the new book description. But I suppose it could be later in the book when she goes on that mission. Shallan just had a PoV in that chapter, but wasn't necessary physical where Kal was.
  8. Looks like Windrunner squires will go to Stonewards?
  9. I think I can make all three orders work. If not I'll drop Willshapers; though if all three orders did work, Elsecaller ought to be really strong due to sharing surges from the other two orders... I can easily make Lightweaver work, however. If I had to choose just one it'd be Elsecaller followed right behind with Lightweaver.
  10. Mink isn't much of an Edgedancer. He keeps throwing people's lives away to resist the Singers. I just don't see an Edgedancer doing that.
  11. Heliodore comes from animals. Any peasant can grow some more by breeding them, meaning that heliodore isn't scarce, and this not as valuable as other gems.
  12. Oathbringer emphasizes that he can easily slip his way out of handcuffs and bonds when other men can't.
  13. Herdazian general AND Navani will be Dustbringers. Navani is all about order out of chaos, controlling her emotions, and tinkering. I really do think she'd be perfect.
  14. It's possible. She can suppress stormlight from emitting from her skin. Why not suppress the eyes, too?
  15. That's how it works. You got it.
  16. Calories aren't a substance, but a measure of units. Lift metabolizes glucose (sugar) into stormlight. Pretty much all foods have glucose; some are composed of more of it than others.
  17. Its sugar
  18. She converts sugar into stormlight. Some foods are more potent than others.
  19. We know that his spren is much like Ym's spren. Both concluded that the best way to rid oneself of an enemy is with light. Renarin used illumination in a pure form to cast out the thunderclast.
  20. I'm hoping we'll have Vatha as a Lightweaver, too. I really like that he wasn't susceptible to Shallans urgings to fight off the bandits, and that he used illumination on his own without saying the first oath. I hope we see him at least at the 2nd oath by RoW!!
  21. I just reread this section. The Stormfather tells Dalinar that Venli appeared to be the ONLY Singer the Stormfather could see.
  22. I know. I watch your shardcasts
  23. Yeah, this has been a theory since WoR came out with more info on Dustbringers. I agree with it.
  24. Wow, I hope nobody is reading this that's never read Mistborn.
  25. It was more of a quip, but thanks.
