  1. Hi JNV! I believe it's in the clarifications Bold mine. That's true, but I bet we have all eight possible. I believe we have enough players to justify it especially given what was brought up earlier about 20 being the max number of players without having to reorganize the game a little. Your guesses for which ones would be left out seem fair enough without looking to hard at them. Agree. Same, but I'm tapping the brakes for a minute. This Good RP. Are you claiming to hold an honorblade, though?
  2. You've activated my trap card My birthday was three weeks ago! I am immune to your votes! I appreciate you letting me play, but I've played enough mafia to know there's always another game. If you think I'm bad you can lunch me. I've found that my play doesn't vary from game to game so much as it varies from cycle to cycle (or hour to hour sometimes). Typically, if I'm in a good mood I talk more... which kind of explains this morning. I'm enjoying the thread and I have no regrets. I will admit there are a few things that can put me in a very good mood for a game like being a third faction, but that's not available this game. This is a fair question. Looking back, he has a poke vote, a retaliation vote, and a gut read (if I may characterize it as such). None of those are suspicious, although I do expect the poke and retaliation votes will move on now that Mat has posted several times. ...aaaand I'm now several posts behind. I'll try to catch up and talk more Edit: I realized the gut read was more of a birthday vote. That one should stay
  3. My cow is ashamed. I was trying to come up with useful suspicions, but I remembered that I'm waiting to hear from Alvron. It is interesting to see the small pile on Mat. I don't anticipate it staying now that I've pointed it out, but I'll bet it has something to do with a super secret in-thread pm between Silhouette and others.
  4. @Shining Silhouette My spell worked! I need to get better at it though. I saw Alvron view the thread momentarily, but I failed to have enough juju to summon his words.
  5. Hello! I am caught up! Hooray! I've been peeking in while working. I don't remember that post by Alvron, but that was a good discussion, Kasimir. Subtly disregarding it, though for the following: I second the vote on Alvron for either voting suspiciously or not and cast the summoning spell that Kas has taught us. @Alvron
  6. If it doesn't throw you off too bad to join this late, I'll sign up as Sun-son-son-Tsu. I can also take a pinch hit position if you already have the distribution worked out.
  7. I appreciate all the work Kas is putting toward solving the game and think we should keep him around longer. Kasimir. I agree the Dummies are more likely to be lurking than actively working to solve the game, so I have a village lean on Wizard and Devotary as well. I'll confirm for Devotary that I am AA I'm awake now, so I can put a little more into the next cycle
  8. That's pretty much it. Now all we have to do is figure out who the TD's are and get a lucky shot. I don't think so, but I'm not sure how you would do that. The better strategy is just to find and kill a TD anyway. Your team gets a point and you win whether your team does or not. Intentionally staying in the game so you can point out Dummies for your teammates is a double edged sword in a game without private messages because there's a good chance someone on the other team will get the kill.
  9. Wait wait wait. I can't tell who is on my team. I say we go shirts and skins. Obviously since Sadeas' Slayers are the favorite, they should be skins. Get that shard plate off or you're playing for our team.
  10. It looks like The Unknown Novel was the first to die in the previous game. I think I like this save mechanic. It has the potential to keep people from being overly targeted. This is a good clarification. Thank you. I forgot to ask about this.
  11. That makes sense. If not winning is losing, then there is a race to kill a Training Dummy while they are still around. That adds a fun different element. Also, I am terrible at role distributions (just ask Devo), so I submit to their wisdom.
  12. Thank you! These are excellent answers. I think a coin flip for who got there first seems consistent for the answers to both 4 and 5. The slower player's target survives. However, you are the mod, so I bow to your whim. Question 7.a. is covered by the answer to 7. Follow up questions: I had one, but don't remember. I may edit it in if it comes back to me.
  13. What the heck. I don't need to be productive next Wednesday through Saturday. I'd like to sign up as Laelk, a nervous young man who only practiced swordplay because he was sure the chasmfiend in his closet was going to get him. He has no real talent for the sword, but it makes him feel better anyway. If he wins this tournament it will be entirely by luck. Some questions: 1. For the Saving vote each cycle, will the votes be red to nominate and green to retract as usual? 2. Do the training dummies mark a person each, or is it a group mark for death? 3. If I hit a training dummy and they survive, I don't win as I have failed to kill the dummy. Will I be notified that I hit a dummy and failed? 3.a. Will we be notified of anything other than that we win, lose, or fail? 4. What happens if two players kill the same dummy? 5. What happens if two opponents kill different dummies on the same cycle? 5.a What happens if two opponents kill the same dummy on the same cycle? 6. Will alignments be revealed in the writeup upon death and/or removal? 7. Is die synonymous with lose in the quote below? Sorry that was more than I thought it would be. I may have more questions based on the answers. This looks like a great game with potential to be a hot mess. Thank you for running it. I'm excited to get started. Edit: @Matrim's Dice, here is a better question 7. 7. Is die synonymous with be removed from the game? 7.a. Does that prevent winning and losing?
  14. Hmm. That's interesting. So maybe let's don't Lynch Araris? There are two reasons I can think why elim Araris would claim this. Either he is converted and is trying to get the real BAM to claim and reveal himself, or he is BAM and converted and wants to bring Kas with him. I don't think the first and the second doesn't seem like Araris. For clarity, I really would have voted for myself if I wasn't me. I find myself falling into bad habits I have add an elim. I'm trying to rectify these habits. For an alternate Lynch candidate May I point us to Xino?
  15. I agree. That and Elk's playstyle this game is very similar to other games I've played with him and he flipped elim. I'm a little surprised this is the first vote on him and I would also vote for him if I hadn't read his GM PM. I wouldn't think Elk is Sja, but he fits the profile to get converted. However as I am still village, I was hoping the gods would give me some insight. I don't care about lynching Illwei. I was more interested in the tie, which is over. Illwei
  16. Mat's in a tough spot here. He was on Tani and can't add the third vote, and doesn't want to vote for himself. I'm committed to a tie, unless I get something better which is tough for Mat to provide, so a vote for Illwei means I swap onto Mat. The last option is voting Araris, who retaliates and Mat's odd go from 1/4 to 1/2 Edit: somehow I just wasn't notified of the last four posts
