Looks like we are in the same boat as we were during the Oathbringer signing. This is why the time was moved up by an hour.

In the past I would have taken the day to be there super early, but this year I had work obligations that i could not miss, but I will be there as soon as I can... 

If anyone has question ideas for me to ask feel free, I will try to ask as many as possible along with my own small list.

I will be there along with the audio equipment I usually bring to the Chicagoland signings. Hopefully we can get access to the location's audio equipment this time, that would simplify it for everyone.

Hey Arcanum peeps,

So it has come up on the discord that people who upload sources to the site, but do not have further access can see an "edit" button for their sources (see screenshot). When this button is clicked, they are brought a login page that does not accept our credentials.

Starting this thread since discord mods did not think that we should be seeing this button.

Awesome, glad it worked out. If you need any help transcribing I'm willing to throw my hat in the ring to help out.

I'm going through the signing line audio right now (and yes, mine did find a way to screw up again, but not a total loss) but I think yours and others' probably is a better bet, I'll see if I can clean it at all, but anything is probably better than what I got.

If you are going through my audio (awesome), I should warn you that I had a few minutes downtime between STE-003 and STE-004, I had to change the batteries in the recorder. in the FLAC and MP3 versions I just lumped them together without a transition. 

So here is a link to my copy of the audio from the event. I did my best of separating the audio into sections, but I have not done any cleaning up of the audio. I have uploaded the relevant parts to Arcanum already.

Be warned, there are Oathbringer Spoilers in some of the audio files. You have been warned.

11-21-2017 Oathbringer Audio

The signing today was a lot of fun, even though Brandon was under the weather and we did not get as many questions answered as we would have liked. I know several of us have recordings, look for those in the coming days. 

Here is a photo of the dedicated few that stayed until the very end.

P.S. If anyone is missing a hat and water bottle, it was left outside after the final questions. I have them and am willing to work with the owner to return them.

I have been thinking for awhile what questions I would like to ask Brandon this time around, but seeing as I have only gotten about half way through Oathbringer at this point, my Stormlight knowledge is still incomplete. I am not sure if my questions have been asked before, or if they have been answered elsewhere, but I appreciate any input. 

I do not think there are any spoilers in these questions, but I am hiding them in case there is anything in Oathbirnger that I am unaware of at this point.

I have preordered books from Anderson's a few times now without issues. You should have one or two confirmation emails from them, one for the completion of you order, and one for payment confirmation. If you are still worried, I believe that you can call them to confirm the order.

I plan on being at the event pretty early and I am also bringing my copy of Mistborn: House War for Brandon to sign. If anyone would like to get a few games in while we wait in line, that would be awesome!

For people who are new to Brandon's signings, being at the event is free and open to the public, but if you want to get anything signed, you will need to purchase the book from the host store. It looks like this time, the event will not be in the actual store, but at a local church about 2.5 miles away from the store. I have spoken with the store, and they will have on-site copies of the book to buy along with a few of Brandon's other titles, they could not tell me exactly what titles, or what number of books they would have at this time.

Hey Everyone,

So the tour dates and locations dropped a few days ago, and I was surprised to not see any thread pop up for Chicago yet.

He is coming back to the Anderson's in Naperville, for the Chicago natives to this forum this should be of no surprise, I is there at least every other time he comes out this way.

 As usual, you will have to by your copy of Oathbringer from the store in order to get it signed/personalized, but he usually has the rule of doing up to three personalizations and as many signatures as you have books. At least this has been the case in the past, it depends on the staff at Anderson's but they have almost ways gone above an beyond in their help of the fans.

I will definitely be there, and I will have my recording equipment as usual, and im not usually the only one, so we should be good for an audio recording of the event. 

If someone does not have any questions they would like to have asked let us know, I know the community, especially the Chicago regulars, can easily provide you a plethora of possible questions.

The location for this event will not be at the book store proper this time.

Okay I have good news, slightly sad news, and bad news...

Good news - I just got the file from the library.

Slightly sad news - It is audio only, I know someone at some point mentioned video, but they did not record any.

Bad news - The audio did not pick up the audience asking the questions very well.

On the plus side Brandon does repeat the questions a lot of the time. I will post the unedited file here, and maybe see if I can work on increasing crown volume over the weekend if I can.

I do have the Audio of Brandon's speech and also the reading, but Brandon has asked that I let @PeterAhlstrom look those over before I post them.

Okay here we go! 

Here are the audio files I have so far, these are the signing line and the Q&A session outside after the event.

Please note that I have only edited these files slightly. I removed one comment that Brandon made that he asked to be removed, and separated the one long file I had into to smaller files. The files are not the best audio quality due to where they recorded, the first being in a giant auditorium with lots of people (including a group of us usually not farther than 5 feet from the microphone), and then out on the streets of Chicago at 9pm in below freezing temps with wind, traffic, sirens, garbage trucks, and even a homeless woman who wanted money from us.

I will also be editing the first post of this thread with copies of the files as well to make them easier to find for other people.

Cleaned up version of the Outside Q&A

I recorded all of the signing line questions as well as the small outside Q&A session. I have not looked at my recording as of this morning yet, but I will get it uploaded soon.

But as far as Wax's resonance, Brandon described that the two powers he has are starting to merge into one for Wax.

He said that Wax is starting to become a savant with his abilities, and that Savantism is not ability specific, but more of becoming more infused with investiture.

This is the same with the soulcasters on Roshar, them starting to turn stone like is a type of savantism, meaning they are becoming more and more infused with the investiture.

Again, I will have the audio up later today sometime.

I will also be getting my hands on the recordings that the library did for Brandon's speech, reading, and general Q&A.

The General Q&A I will put up as soon as I get it, but the other stuff Brandon has said I should run it past his people before releasing.

When I read SoS, I speculated about  the reason Harmony (and Kandras) didn't know that relevant people were killed and replaced, that Bleeder used of Hemalurgy to kill the victims to avoid them to meet Harmony. But I may be wrong of course
