  1. I think this is a good idea.
  2. You can put any memory in a coppermind, they just memorize it to make it more useful.
  3. Oversleep has Hemalurgic spikes. Feruchemy and Allomancy are both recessive genes. When mixed together, they are diluted so that the offspring are extremely unlikely to be a Mistborn or Feruchemist, instead more likely being Twinborn, Ferring, or Misting.
  4. On the other hand, would Sanderson make two names for something, one for Scadrians and one for himself?
  5. You are comparing Velcro to a plunger. Both useful for Spider-Man crawling, but Abrasion is arguably easier to use, assuming Lift can increase friction as well as decrease it.
  6. In Shadows of Silence, I'm not convinced that the metal is silver. I think it's aluminum. Remember the Everstorm? Nobody can deny that it was/is magical, but no gemstones were used. There is the possibility of Listeners having gemhearts, but beyond that, we might have some insight into the focus for Roshar. Maybe those Rhythms that we have been hearing about with bronze or briefly in AonDor finally are revealed. I think, maybe, that symmetry is the focus. The glyphs have reflected symmetry. The Void glyphs and the cymatics of the Plains and certain cities use rotational symmetry.
  7. And America generally doesn't like British traditions.
  8. Maybe koloss just don't merit getting the metals they need. Besides, Allomancer or Feruchemist koloss would be terrifying regardless of their metal. Besides aluminum and duralumin, that is. ADD: would a koloss burning aluminum be able to endure emotional Allomancy with no loss of will? And would an aluminum Misting be unaffected by emotional Allomancy (assuming they are burning the metal)?
  9. Apparently not.
  10. Why is today Boxings day?
  11. Well, in order to make a Hemalurgic spike, you have to want to make it. If Ruin didn't want to make a Hemalurgic spike for F-atium, it would not have happened.
  12. Maybe Ruin was just thinking "I need another Lord Ruler. The last one didn't follow my instructions very well, and anyway he's dead. So now I'd better get myself another one, and that means all the metals."
  13. What does that even mean? Ruin was a storming Shard!
  14. I'm a poet*, so Gargoyle, you might want to be careful with that terminology. *Nonprofessionally. Mostly for fun.
  15. Star Wars seems to have more of a soft magic system to me.
  16. It's not my place to say, but I think that would be fine.
  17. Well, that explains that. Marsh is instrumental in Ruin's plans, Marsh gets many spikes.
  18. A Librarian! Don't defect to their party, and no sacrificing Oculators to make powerful Lenses. On the other hand, sounds like a great job.
  19. Maybe Ruin didn't trust him as much? With good reason, since Marsh started his actual demise. I know Leras orchestrated it, but if Marsh hadn't ripped off the earring...
  20. Well good thing your parents have yet to discover what you're doing on the Shard.
  21. Okay, I'm going to drop the indirect part. However, Fortuity still can't hit him without aiming.
  22. I have Marsh. A bit metallic, I got the recipe from the Dark Alley. A small chance of Hemalurgy, I'm not sure.
