  1. "Hi, I couldn't help but overhear your discussion of the fabrication of fiends. I find myself in dire need of one, and was hoping that one of the pair of you might advise me on how I might go about procuring one for myself. I don't suppose you have one that might be lent?" Acaelus turned to the newcomer, not entirely sure what the man was talking about. Suddenly it dawned on him that he must have slurred during his conversation with Marcos. Did he do that the entire conversation? No he couldn't have. Marcos would have stopped him and pointed him out. It must be just the last sentence. Either way, this man must have misheard him. Still, Acaelus couldn't be rude and try to send the man away, he would have to help him in his search. He wanted fiends? Well, he didn't know too much about fiends, but this was the library. "I personally don't know about 'fiends' sir, but I think I know where you can find some information on them. You wanted to obtain a fiend?" The man nods. "I'd say the easiest way to procure one is through fabrication. They are very rare if my memory serves so if you have the necessary funds, then you will have an easier time making one than finding one. Fabrication of magical, celestial and fey creatures would be in aisle 52 around 37 rows back. Fiends are classified as demonspawn so they would be on the deitties, dragons, demons, devils, demonspawn bottom shelf towards the left. If you want, you can check with Julia, she's the librarian cataloging those archival numerary books." Acaelus gives the man a smile and says, "I hope that I could help, come tell me if you find it alright?"
  2. Huh. Alright, thanks.
  3. So is Modern a new set of decks? Or is it a new set of regulations or what?
  4. "Hey there again Acaelus! How's it going? I was just wondering what your were reading. Don't you have any classes?" Looking up from his book, Acaelus found Marcos standing beside his corner, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a few books. Wow. His appearance surprised Acaelus. He thought that he had scared Marcos away the last time that they had talked. Then a thought came to Acaelus. Maybe Marcos was willing to attempt friendship with the loneliest man in the University. If that were true, then Acaelus might just have his first real friend here. He couldn't screw this up. "Oh hey Marcos! Uh, It's going great. I just started re-reading the DragonFire Chronicles. They are said to be the most accurate representation of Dragons in a fictional story, so I was hoping to . . . Nevermind. I do have classes, but I get them all done very early in the morning. If you come here earlier, then you will most likely find me here working on whatever it is that the instructors give me at the beginning of the day. You see, I go around to all of my classes at the very beginning of the day and collect that day's work . . . uh, Marcos, I have a question for you. How many fiends have you made at the University?" Hopefully that wasn't a bad impression. Was the question at the end too much? Did he stutter? He hated feeling so insecure. If that is all friendship was these days, then maybe he didn't want it. Maybe he had the right idea before, leaving the world to it's own devices and going back to his books. But no, that wasn't a fulfilling life. He had to think back to when he still had Aldon. Those days were magical, weren't they? He couldn't remember.
  5. Acaelus sat with a book in his lap, not actually reading for once. Instead, he was listening to the Librarians talk about what was going on in the University. Not much of note, mostly just normal goings on for youth their age, bullying, snide comments, inappropriate actions from a man named Wilem. And much of the news was simply rumor, not actual events. The statistical likelihood of a girl falling from the sky onto the rooftop and surviving with no safety equipment was absurdly low. However, there might be a possibility that there were glamours involved. That got Acaelus feeling excited about this particular piece of gossip. If he could get a closer look at the specimen, then he would be able to study the effects of magical illusions on social interactions between the subject and those around them. Acaelus had never really understood psychology or human interactions, so any opportunity he could get to study them, he took. His mind made up, Acaelus stood with his book in his hand and strode out the library door. Granted some might call it slinking, but there could be aspect of his particular manner of motion that would allow . . . Oh goodness. There was no way to put a good spin on his habits. He needed to make at least one non-literature related friend in the University. Maybe then he wouldn't always be the social outcast. Right then, Acaelus just happened to walk directly into the door that led outside. Managing to fall to his rear and open the door with the force of his collision, Acaelus found himself on the floor. From there, he could see outside the doors. The sight that greeted him was unnerving to say the least. Normally, Acaelus would stay at the library until it was dark and the sun had sunk deep below the horizon. Now, in full view, it blinded him with it's radiance. Of course he had seen the sun before, but never had he seen it with so many people around him. The full courtyard was alive with people. That made Acaelus nervous. He stared at the sun, unable to move towards the crowd. Eventually, someone noticed him and came walking up to him. They didn't seem familiar, but then again, the sun was still blindingly bright. This is my pathetic plea for someone to help Acaelus with his anti-person problem. I need someone to help develop his character and for more human interaction rather than just internal musings. So if someone wouldn't mind, I think that I need an RP partner please.
  6. Were you the cause of this? Did you cause this?
  7. I understand that because I can understand that.

  9. I'm so sad that I waited so long to find this thread. :'( Don't mind me, I'll just be here googling all the new terms that I'm learning.
  10. *depending
  11. Jeez guys. So indecisive. If I move my vote back to STINK, then I'll tie it. I know that I said that I would follow a majority, but I think that I am part of that majority, therefore, if I think that STINK is evil, then the consensus will be tied and the next person to vote on one of the two would break the tie and I would vote with them. Hellscythe, STINK. Clanky is making some sense to me, and you have been acting strangely this game. You suddenly seem to care, which I have never encountered before. Granted, I haven't known you for long, but you were willing to commit suicide a few games back. Now you and Lopen are steering the conversation. I am not sure how to feel about that. I think that you and him might be pushing hard for the eliminator win since not many people are paying as much attention to this game as before. You even insinuated earlier that you agreed that it was hard to get into this game without a specialization, but you seem extremely lively for not into this game.
  12. I have noticed that your previous statement is false. There are many on this thread whom you have not upvoted. Therefore, you cannot have upvoted by upvoting all. You would have upvoted by upvoting some. I have noticed this.
  13. Then I accept with acceptance.
  14. I join! Unless this is some weird offshoot of the Dark Alley. Then I don't.
  15. Hey Anamax, could you do me a favor and decide if you are using a colon or a dash in the family spoiler? Thanks.
