Spoiler from the first Mistborn trilogy. We know that Alendi was the (maybe) first try of Ruin to free himself. Alendi was a Seeker (Bronze Misting) when the Allomancy was much rare and weak. So we could assume that Alendi was a Seeker much weak than Marsh. Vin was a powerfull Allomancer (compared to the allomancer of her age) and she need a Hemalurgic Spike to detect the Well of Ascension pulses (Spike made from a probably powerfull seeker misting). We know Alendi had at least one "prophesied spike" (I don't have the English version of the book then I am not sure of the original worlds) but it is not to much (for me) a spike made from his era misting to reach his goal. Then how much additional power (and Spikes) Alendi needed for his quest ? You see other ways from him (and Ruin) to complete the journey ?

Why are "they" present at Gavilar's assassination?
Yata replied to Herald's topic in Stormlight Archive
I saw this "corruption of the Herald's Attributes" in this way. From pious and guiding to a Big-Brother-like-God to his fake Vegetable-follower- 27 replies

I suspect He is Jezrien. I think Ishar to be the man of the Spren's Collector POV. The one with the "false-city-of-vegetable"- 27 replies

First of all I know that the idea "Lopen-Squire" is not 100% sure, but just probably. Anyway If all the glowing Bridgemen aren't proto-RK and just one is "only a squire". It means that the distance between Kal and they aren't important to grant them squire-abilties. Probably the bond between them are previusly-made, and became more powerfull everytime Kal "unlock" his Oaths. If this interpretaion is true, the bridgemen's bond to Kal was strenghtened when Kal said the 3rd Oath and they became capable to use stormlight. I repeat myself, this is just a possible interpretation of the RK-Squire mechanics, and is not written in the Stone

Why are "they" present at Gavilar's assassination?
Yata replied to Herald's topic in Stormlight Archive
Gavilar wanted to call back the "Parshendi's Gods" and the Parshendi was afraid of this. Probably the "Parshmendi's Gods" are relate to Odium (I say related because I don't know if is Odium itself or the Unmade or his Spren). If Gavilar like it seems, was a member of the "sons of Honor". Maybe He wanted the return of Voidbringer as a calling to the Heralds (ironics I know).- 27 replies

Yata replied to Herald's topic in Stormlight Archive
There was a probably fourth Herald, the "drunk man" (in the room with the Herald's Rapresentation) who says to Szeth "Have you see me?" (I have not the book in English so I'm not 100% sure about the original words).- 27 replies

Well If Hoid trained Sig for many years, probably Sig noticed that Hoid aren't getting old, not humans indeed. But on Roshar are Human-like creatures with a very long lifetime, therefore maybe It's a strange fact to him but not unique. This without think to the things, he learned from Hoid (is a scholar after all).

I think that the spirit web is different from the spiritual aspect of a human. You could cut all four limbs of a man with a Shardblade and He is still spiritually whole unless the use of the limbs. spiritually intact spiritually intact spiritually intact spiritually intact

I know and in my calculation I have always use a 50% storage, because is the lower-bound for the feruchemy (But I can't find the reference ). The lesser-return-think is quite odd to me, because of the power-loss in a neutral-end system.
-
Sorry I have read the post in the wrong way I think you miss the basic Feruchemist Attribute, you drawn a attribute*16 from the metalmind plus our normal attribute. The Feruchemy is the art of balance, what you store you could use, there isn't lost. The Sazed mention that you remember, was about the Rashek's "Immortality Trick" and the "lost" was the ammount of youth to keep the LR young while he became always older and older. The speed fact is strange but maybe Sazed isn't storage too much, for the everyday life, the speedloss is heavy. Maybe Sazed was storing only the 10% of his speed of maybe he hasn't a much bigger metalmind.

The Dor is the power of Devotion and Dominion merged together without anyone who hold. A lot of peoples think that to use a magic system on Sel, you must be devoted to the appropriate land. Brandon stated that isn't true but the reason of the region magic on Sel are the peculiar state of his shards.

If the attempt to Spike someone, make the guy Snap. Is still end-negative. But this type of Hemalurgy could not be, because you can't put the right Intent to create a Spike without know how to place it and what are you stealing.

What it does Wax for the entire book. You could turn yourself in an Anchor and half your weight to gain more speed/power using other Anchor. Very powerfull combo
-
I'm not sure to understand how the Heralds unbalance the whole system. Anyway I thought that Honor & Preservation mandate (or Intent) are Unity (so relationship is quite good) and Progression. In a Q&A Brandon stated that of the 10 Surges, there are 2 that could be call "divine surges" (the Question was about the presence on Roshar of some similar to the "god metals") this two are Adeshion and Progression. Each one seems linked the idea of Honor(Adesion) and Cultivation (Progression) so probably are their mandates.

I think an exaggeration, with just a little math we could see how a Feruchemist (or Ferring) who spend an hour at day for a month (for easy calculation 32 days) could fight with an attribute multiplied 17 time for un hour before the metalmind run out of power. In the books, we never see a serius feruchemical warrior and in the Allow of Law the only examples of Twinborn are not very rappresentative. - Wax run out of weight only when trying to use all the feruchemical charge together. - Wayne run out of healt very often, but the gold fast healing use a hight multipler to work (because the human usually don't regenerate). We are to much accostumed to The Terrisian-Keeper, but they weren't fighter, just scholar.

I believe that you can't stole a pre-snapping Allomantic Power, just because there isn't power. It's not "hidden", during the snapping the intense trauma crack a little your (allomantic-ready) spiritweb, this "crack" were filled with Preservation power and this extra Investiture developes Allomancy. This is the reason of the Snapping, give to the people under the "Preservation-Investiture-requirement-for-Allomancy" a way to fill the gap. When the Lerasium spreads in Noble's blood, there was no need of Snapping because of the Huge amount of Preservation in the Nobles. But it could be possible sometimes stole Allomancy from a pre-snapping Allomancer, just because the trauma and fear for his own life Snapped the poor man just before the spike hits the right bind-point. But this it is unlikely because If I remember right, we have no prove about the time to develop an Allomantic power after the Snapping.
-
I m not sure that the Feruchemy are a poor choise aganist the allomancy in fighting, maybe just for a ferring VS Misting. The combo for a feruchemist are a lot and many Feruchemical Metal offer a usefull way to use also while storing. Maybe our view of Feruchemical power come to the fact, that we never see a true warrior in this magic, only Scholar and Allomancer primary-fighting (Inquisitor).

Brandon says that King T. after write the Diagram thought at his work as a product of a Ultra Genius' Intellect. But probably is not so simple. I remember a guy that propose the teory about King T. He thought that the king every day wake up with his balance in the cognitive and spiritual realm shifted. When T. is genius-less empatic his cognitive aspect is strong and the spiritual weak and vice versa. Then recently Brandon stated (talk about the atium) that a access to the cognitive realm are a requisite for foresight. So probably T have just had visions of the future while he was a genius and coded them in the Diagram (maybe to trick himself).
