saying elantris is weak to his other works is like comparing two nuclear bombs. one may be cleaner and bigger, but they both have the same effect. that is, widespread panic and/or screaming.

hehehehehe Mark walked down the street, whistling a merry tune, it wasn't everyday you could go an entire hour and a half without being bothered by one epic or another. he walked passed a book shop, just as an, um well, lets say attractive female came out. dark hair, blue eyes, the type of girl people would stare at as he walked by. he tipped his hat to her politely as they passed. he turned the corner of the book store and came face to face with a translucent human being. "Oh come on" he yelled "That chick was HOT!" Mark blinked. then growled. "Wheatley!" "You have no idea how long it took me to arrange that meeting!" "I thought I left you in Portland!" "you did! and you could have at least abandoned me at some proper bar! that guy with the bottle was freakin' me out." "sparks!" Mark swore, walking through the incorporeal epic, and continuing down the street "Why do I have to put up with you slontze?" "because you bought an extremely high powered Rifle that comes with your very own poltergeist" "

I literally just picked myself off the ground, I was laughing so hard. are we certain about the portal gun though? I mean, they kinda bought something like it in steelheart. the Gauss gun? (or something like that).

bah! I can never be angry at someone who beats me in an argument. ... and I guess that all that epic tech made him a little too batman, didn't it? and um, dawnstrikes a guy.

... ... sigh... okay then. badchullery gone. he does has a personal beef with an epic named DawnStrike, who thinks mark killed his sister (also an epic). I'll give you those thought out profiles later.

has anyone realized that this is question number 16? I feel like some sort of party should be goin' on...

not really Parades, David just calls them that because he's fairly certain that's what they are. mainly a "Parade" consists of steelheart and his lieutenants flying around the city, looking important. another thing about the hunter. he's practically a ghost. he's in he's out. if something goes wrong he's gone before anyone knows he was there. also steelheart started blowing things up and that russles up all kinds of confusion. A lot of people died and mark never returned to Newcago. and again perhaps we could say he could hack into the newcago database and delete whatever info they have on him. edit :its also noted many times that many people tried to kill steelheart.

bam! I am back... reading... reading... OK! so, I must explain the steelheart encounter. its actually quite simple. he got cocky. tried to kill steelheart. steelheart didnt appreciate getting shot in the face with a portal gun while flying through the city on one of his "parades". People died. Mark broke his leg and portal-ed his way out of there

<p>oooooo... a test.</p> <p> </p> <p>let it begin.</p> <p> </p> <p>1. he was a physics student at Yale with a photographic memory. He would have graduated with his Masters had the government not collapsed a a few weeks before his last semester. He was married had two kids and was living a <em>freaking dream </em>before his family and entire city block was destroyed by an epic called Longshot, who had the ability to open portals. he mainly killed by opening portals into orbit sucking his victims in a vacuum.</p> <p> </p> <p>2.crushed by the loss of his family, Mark withdrew from the world, becoming a sort of homeless person with severe ptsd. he rarely spoke, he never laughed, he never cried, all he did was survive on the crumbs of life and <em>stare.</em></p> <p> </p> <p>Then came Apex*</p> <p>apex was a vicious epic, a murderer for the fun of it. he had come to the streets of New Haven to have a little fun, and as he went into a house near Mark, and pulled out a screaming wife with her two kids... </p> <p>well, something snapped. and it was probably apex's neck as Mark bashed him in the face with a brick.</p> <p>over...</p> <p>and over...</p> <p>and over again...</p> <p> </p> <p>3.after the death of Apex, Mark became lucid again to the real world, catching up with current and past events, learning hand-to-hand combat, sharpshooting, war tactics, epic theories--which he studied most-- parkour, anything that would give him an edge against the monsters who now ruled the world.</p> <p> </p> <p>4. On a happier note! he loved baseball and Fencing and owned a motorcycle which he loved to ride. he also read every thing that he could conveniently.</p> <p> </p> <p>5. his Family.</p> <p> </p> <p>6. well apex was more of an accident in his life, pure coincidence, right place, right time sort of deal. but yes. that was when he decided to hunt epics.</p> <p> </p> <p>starting with the one who killed his family.</p> <p> </p> <p>longshot. High epic with the ability to open portals to almost anywhere on or above earth. Defensive capabilities where class B precognition.</p> <p>his weakness... his powers where useless against someone who he had specifically meant to kill, but survived.</p> <p>it didn't go well for him.</p> <p>at the end of it he was captured, experimented on, tortured and killed by Mark.</p> <p> </p> <p>his first failure was against steelheart the next year, which put him out of commission for several months.</p> <p> </p> <p>I'll answer the last one later, I have to leave.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>*Apex was an epic with enhanced reflexes, but no other abilities. his weakness was to be killed by someone who owned nothing.</p>

don't worry, I never do these kind of things half way. in fact its one of my hobbies...
