“Please, sit down again. I’ll join you shortly.” Deathgale said and proceeded to get a drink, grabbing the bottles and glass with tendrils of smoke. Antimatter briefly considered hitting him with as big as a blast as he could make. The thought was mildly entertaining. But he wouldn’t. Not yet, anyway. A thousand possibilities flashed threw his mind, trying to see what the epics game might be. All accounts he had heard said that he was a vicious and violent epic, which wasn’t very original; every epic had that reputation. It had put him off a little to hear the voice of one of the more deadly epics of the region speak to him so politely. He sat down at the table. Deathgale sat soon after, having poured himself a drink, his tendrils of cigarette smoke fell to the table and stayed, clinging to the wood surface and curling slightly in the air above it. Seeing them, Antimatter knew that they were ready to snap up at any moment. At least, there was a seventy-three percent chance they were. “How about I get to the point?” Deathgale said, meeting Antimatters gaze. “Do you plan on killing anyone else in this city? Not that a couple of deaths in the lesser population would cause much of a ripple but we are not in the mood for someone going on an Epic hunt in the city.” Antimatter blinked. Then gave a little chuckle, leaning back in his chair. “If you wanted to warn off an Epic killer, then you just missed him. Neutrality –the man I’m willing to bet you saw me talking to earlier today—left a few minutes before you got here.” He reached into the pocket of his pea coat and pulled out a flask, pouring a bit of it into his glass. He wondered who Deathgale’s informant might be, “As for the deaths of future epics, I can’t really promise much, things tend to explode around me,” Antimatter took a sip of the drink. It had more kick to it than usual, so he set it down; It way too early for anything this hard. Harkness had probably messed with it again. The fool could never keep his recipe straight. That, plus he always claimed that the only way he could get drunk was to so completely destroy himself that he couldn’t see straight, led to some fairly odd brews.

Wayne Disapproval Thread (Potential Wayne-related spoilers)

Have you finished bands of mourning? -
I wrote a thing... I kinda like it. well actually I wrote three things (in the last hour, mind you), One is my next Antimatter post, which you will definitely see later, so RAFO the other is a thing about the hunter blowing up over half a dozen minor Salem epics whom have never been heard of, which will only be seen if you want it. i think I remember notes about there being no plot to Salem, which is why I wrote this. the last is my favorite, although it has nothing to do with the current RPs, I think it would be fun to have as a future RP in this setting, which is the artificial city of Arsington, under huge attacks from Stormeggedon and the Knights Blasphemy (whom I have yet to reveal), and suffering from epic caused radiation field, which you can keep from killing you by wearing that epics weakness, this metal. would you like read these?

I am of the opinion/theory that being a drab is like being a normal person, but the people on Nalthis are so used to the breath they held, that not having a breath makes them see everything as less... vibrant. (is this wrong?) hmn... explain more about the second part.

dont make me make my title "Forum Bane" -
Im not saying the swords are different, they are. I am merely pointing out that a swordsmen is a thought process, not a title. He picks up a random blade and he will immediately understand how to use it. That's what being a sword master is all about. There is a great difference between claymores and rapiers. I agree. but Im just trying to point out that he would understand blades and how to use them no matter what he grew up training with. it might take some getting used to, but most blades will be able to be used with roughly the same fighting style.

most weapons of the same segment (Swords or guns in general) usually translate directly into each other. if you can aim a weapon, its because your hand is steady, and you have good timing and understand wind and stuff like that(eloquent, I know). swords are the same. you train with one, you understand them all. Very few swords would violate this rule, and most of the ones that do are custom made. if you are a sword master it wouldn't matter what type of blade you would use, you would know how to use them because that's how you trained. I have been wondering this as well.

I'm getting the feeling that you're a bit frustrated. You're doing fine. we all have been through this before. you should see the arguments I made for my first character, the hunter, who was originally so badchull that everyone said no. just work with it. it is a really good idea, it just needs some realism. (fortunately, on the questions forum, Realism does not come as a slap to the face.)

Random Stuff VII: The Admins Awaken

There is a line between crispy and chewy. I am of the faith that it is upon that line that we may find bacon enlightenment... -
I literally just came up with this. I start with a name... off the the top of my head I have chosen the name ansen'thir, or ansen as his friends call him. ansen was a young child when his village was destroyed, burnt to the ground be the Ravaging of the world, when the gods betrayed mankind (a bit of world building here). ever since then he has been working in a mine with the survivors of his race. as a youth he was trained by all the surviving elders of his society, he learned swordsmanship, metalworking, archery, stealth and most importantly magic. later as a young man, he destroyed the mine he lived and worked in in a slave rebellion which he led. now, freed from slavery, ansen wanders the world with his companion, the greatest archer in history(who is his near opposite in every way) at his side to free the world from the tyranny of the gods. dang, I NEED TO WRITE THIS BOOK! Ok, now Ive got a story, now I need to take the history, and see what it does to people. he was a slave. that would mean lots of pent up anger and a blatant distrust for any minion of the gods. he'll be arrogant due to his accomplishments, and determined due to the fact that he accomplished them. next, I give him a tragedy. his childhood sweetheart died in his arms. This allows readers to sympathize with him as well as promise a bit of potential romance in the future. he would become sad every time he thought of her and potentially bring tears to readers as a back story (i'm evil that way). another important thing is how he interacts with people. is he condescending? to stupid people maybe. is he smart? if he isn't, it will not draw very smart readers. Does he laugh? no, he would smirk every time a joke came his way that he thought was funny but laughter was driven from him as a child. does he smile? under a clear night sky and during a thunderstorm, those are the times he feels true happiness and peace. I could go on and on about this, but I think you get the picture. I agree, Characters arent created, they are discovered.

thanks! But what do you think I can do to improve it?
-
I was going through my computer, trying to find things to delete to save space and I found my first ever attempt at writing. I have it right here, the whole story. To punish and protect. (spoiler tag for length) I wrote this as a junior in highschool. I'm surprised I found it...
