Since I've run out of creatures from The Stormlight Archive that have less than 14 legs, and I can't find a good reference for a nightmaw, I've decided to shift to aons. I doubt I'll be able to do that many, since many of them are too complicated to do in origami, so I decided to start simple. It's made of one square of paper. Hope you like it!

I don't buy it. Kelsier, just before his death became far less hateful towards the nobles. He saves Elend, for one. Also, in his final note, the one that Vin gets after Kell's death, he says that he didn't want Vin to kill the high Nobility anymore. The High Nobility. They are the worst skaa-murdering, money-hoarding, heartless people since, well, since the Lord Ruler himself. And Kell has mercy on them. The nobility of the second mistborn era are far better. Corrupt, yes, but not nearly as bad as, say, Straff. Or any of the Nobility save Elend, really. Maybe with three hundred years of unmitigated Ruin-ness, he might go crazy. However, I think Sazed knew him too well to do something like that. Anybody would be a better holder for his extra Ruin investiture than Kelsier. Heck, even Marsh, since he has experience with resisting Ruin. Kelsier turning evil like that just seems wrong to me.

Well, the particular carriage ride that Hoid was on happened to be the same one where Wax had a fairly long conversation with Harmony, so that certainly is Shard-related.

I don't know. I just assumed that the goons brought the body along with them or something, figuring it was just a random detail. Actually, come to think of it, prior Sanderson knowledge might actually harm more than help in this case, since, in my experience, Brandon doesn't bring people back to life that often. It's pretty much just Kelsier and Jasnah, if I recall correctly.

Why is TES "book 2" of Elantris??
Evil_Reptile replied to Thealps's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Yeah, none of the ebook companies seem to know where it goes. Kobo thinks that Sixth of the Dusk, Shadows for Silence, and Emperor's Soul are in the same series. -

A basic Shardblade's functionality is cutting through anything and severing souls. Nightblood, when unsheathed, obviously consumes investiture. It's not exactly explained in detail in Warbreaker what exactly it does, other than "kills a bunch of stuff and lets off black smoke, but it strikes me as useless if the makers of Nightblood had prior knowledge of Shardblades, it would be useless to try to replicate a Shardblade by making a sword that consumes investiture to be a Shardblade. Somehow it seems that someone able to make a sentient sword would probably make it do more than just what a standard Shardblade does when consuming investiture, instead of some crazy Surge.

Actually, come to think of it, in Warbreaker, when Nightblood was unsheathed, he consumed investiture to do all of the slaughter-fifty-lifeless stuff. That may well be one of the Surges that Nightblood grants.

Favorite comic series/books?
Evil_Reptile replied to Darkness Ascendant's topic in Entertainment Discussion
But where? My problem is that there are roughly a bazillion different alternate storylines and reboots and stuff. -
Hong Kong? It's sort of in China. EDIT: I looked it up, and nobody's ever gonna get it.

Well, I guess I have some more time to decide whether or not to spend my $100 on Elantris. -

I was rereading Words of Radiance recently, and I noticed something interesting: early in the book, Bridge Four was hanging around and doing Bridge Four stuff, but an ardent had started drawing them. This seemed odd to Kaladin. The sketch of Bridge Four tattoos, signed Nazh, said that he spent all day following Bridgemen around. In that timeline, Nazh had to have sketched it roughly between when they get the tattoos, and when they march off to fight the Parshendi. My theory is that the ardent was secretly Nazh. My evidence is a bit sparse, but it just seems to fit, to me at least. First of all, that one ardent was the only person to draw Bridge Four, save Shallan, and we know she isn't Nazh. Adding to that, drawing Bridge Four, in general, instead of just individually just seems like an odd thing to do, but what better way to find their tattoos? Secondly, an ardent is a good disguise for gathering information and such, and Nazh wouldn't be the first worldhopper to do this, as evidenced by Zahel/Vasher. Finally, having to "spend hours watching bridgemen", as the sketch says, instead of just pretending to be an ardent and drawing them, I would imagine is just Nazh complaining, since Nazh seems fairly smart, and the ardent thing works far better for drawing a precise tattoo pattern. Thoughts? Have I missed anything? Sincerely, Evil Reptile

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, but your hands spasm eternally, forcing you to spend an entire day to make a single chalkling. I wish that Stones Unhallowed would come out sooner. -
My signature picture is 500x99 pixels. Would I be allowed to add any writing in addition to my current signature?

This also makes sense because Inquisitors, as Hemalurgic creations, are of Ruin, who cannot read and change metal, which sort of makes their metal-blindness an extension of Ruin's.
-
Yeah, at that point, you shouldn't know that Jasnah is an Elsecaller unless you've looked up a bunch of stuff which you shouldn't have. Also, someone being stabbed in the heart straight through tends to make me not believe that that person can come back, unless I'm reading something in the Malazan series. We also had no indicator that stormlight can heal an almost immediately lethal wound. Wehad indictions that it could heal minor wound, as well as gradually heal Kaladin of a slow-moving death, and heal him of many things that would kill him if stacked up in the Highstorm, but that's all, really.
