  1. Straw Let it be known that this errand boy must face justice. Mint was glad to see that at least some others knew how to address their one true king. Though he did wonder what exactly Lopen had uttered under his breath afterwards. Was that a curse? Alas, Mint still had little information about the local culture so there was little he could do except hope for someone to teach him. Mint gazed upon his commissioned work, and knew that he had made a good decision in choosing Kainae as the one to paint. Bar the subtle white shift to the right of the painting, there was a clear message within about Mint spreading his influence throughout the land, which could only be a good thing to come. Maybe the white was a contender to his rule? Or just a quirk of the painting? Who knows, it could even be some third unseen option.
  2. Mint cares not for you people's silly schemes. They have one task right now, one of the most upmost importance. Also, he wants to know if saying most upmost is grammatically correct, but that can be done after the first task. Mint was going to build up their court. After all, no good ruler did everything themselves, did they? @little wilson, I have been informed that you are an artist? If not, then I sincerely apologize, fudges tend to well, fudge their information a little. Anyway, one requires a piece that draws any observers eye towards my area, though I think I will leave the specific details to the expert. We can agree on a price after the work is done? I can guarantee that there will be payment involved, on my word as King (but not the role, a voice in his head says). @Eternum, I find myself in need of some teaching as to this world's lore, so as to better understand the culture and it's preferences. I have also received information that you are a man of fables? For your services, I can promise an attentive audience and an ear to listen to maybe more than just stories. Unfortunately, Mint was now running out of time. Their other subjects were begging for an audience, and it was his duty to listen to most of them. Mint never did get along well with the Werthers family.
  3. Trumpet Guy (who shouldn't even be here) blares out a royal tune, grabbing the attention of all awaiting the start of the game. "Come, one and all, and gaze upon who will be within your city for the next few weeks!" He kept it vague because truly, he had no idea where he was. Or who this person actually was, but Trumpet Guy was good at two things: the Trumpet, and Introductions. So that was what he was gonna do. Unfortunately, Trumpet Guy will never reach a point where he can make a true introduction for the person signing up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I landed on the floor hard, glad that my shell had not cracked when I landed. Man, that would've really ruined the introduction by Trumpet Guy. I double-checked by non-existent pocket to see if I still had my family picture with me, the one thing that I was told to never lose. Without it, how was I different from any other of my kind? With no distinguishing features between any of us, we've had to fall to more material things to know who is actually who. Enjoy your holiday, Son! ~ Mum (And the others too) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trumpet Guy stared at the Imperial Mint on the floor. Was this? Could it? How? Then he heard (?) the Mint say to him: "Do your thing then, or do you not see Mints every day?" So Trumpet Guy played his Trumpet. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With a satisfactory tune to accompany Mint, he turned to address his new crowd of soon to be loyal followers. "First things first, You peasants shall address me as the Imperial Mint, only the inner circle may call me Mint. Secondly, I have been sent here for some ill-forgotten reason, I am sure. If someone would deign to explain to me where exactly I am, one might expect to rise swiftly within my court. Lastly, I would ask you all to avoid sweetly confections for a while, until I know which ones are loyal to me and which ones shall try to rebel." Mint rolled away, leaving the crowd behind him. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Howdy folks, Stink here. Mint will ignore anyone that does not refer to him as Imperial Mint, and Stink will not be playing this game so don't use Stink to address me. You're addressing Mint this game, and he doesn't put people in the inner circle needlessly. So yes, hopefully doing RP throughout. Maybe not in the style of verbose descriptions of every scene and how the ground is cobbled but not by a cobbler that makes shoes. RP as in Mint is playing and Mint will think through stuff and ignore peasants that do not respect him. If that annoys you, then maybe you can try to convince Mint to be nice to the peasants.
  4. Ah yes, you see I'm asking because there is no other way (excepting PMs) for me to communicate between any of you guys, which is just a shame really.
  5. Hello there folks, it's me back for like 10 minutes I guess? How is everyone doing?
  6. You know what you did! Don't play games with me, Drought. This was always going to happen, ever since you did that unspeakable horror. Also @Jondesu oh wait did a mention and mobile can't delete mentions why is that a feature you know what I'm gonna ask that in the staff chat real quick Aight gonna wait on a response for that. Anyway, it seems that even Jon agrees that you deserve judgement for your heinous crimes, and I shall be the one to deliver it. Unless my stomach acts up, then it'll probably be someone else. But for the most part, expect a vengeful Stink.
  7. Drought So it comes down to this. I knew it would be like this from the start, one way or another one of us was going to die. But not both of us, because that wouldn't be a duel but something from like Romeo and Juliet instead. Basically, vote Drought so that Len has to write a cinematic showdown in his writeup.
  8. Again, I do not see anything wrong with that last statement.
  9. Aye, sounds like a good plan to me. Also kinda need Devotary to vote on someone for that to work too I thought I was being helpful for this game, no? And generally to Steel, you keep asking others to do what you yourself are not willing to do, which seems slightly hypocritical. Last cycle, I asked your reasons for voting Madagascar. This cycle, I ask your reasons for voting Madagascar. Still haven't seen em, but instead you're telling others to fess up about this and that, which is actually quite annoying. So Steel , it would be helpful if you could actually be helpful for once. (Also sorry about inactivity this cycle guys Easter festivities had some lasting effects)
  10. Honestly ignoring this post when there's no evidence or anything like that, just looks like you're trying to bait people. Actual suspicion wise: I do agree with the sentiment that there's gotta be something going on with all these scholar claims, but don't have the time to actually go through any of that cause it's Easter Sunday I kinda trust Devotary the most out of y'all Scholars, cause as well as doing vote tally's (NAI but I still love them for it) they have also been throwing in some good thoughts with their posts. Steel and Drought though, hm. Hero also does cool RP.
  11. Drought I may have forgot that Drake did something about that, good ol mobile experience. Honestly also not sure on who to vote for, but out of the player list, Trust Mad the most (had a fair few PMs and already knew her role beforehand) Basically everyone else is above 50% on villageness which is a problem. Except Drought, who is not acting Villagey. Gah, gotta go look after some cousins now but I'll be back.
  12. Good ol 'no analysis but seems to have analysis so might not be gut vote' vote. Drought Come back to us Drought, ya evil person you.
  13. Fun fact, can't delete mentions in quotes when you're mobile. Ain't that fun. Anyway, irony in first sentence of quote then Hero going 'but I'll suspect Stink for being a politician'. Which is also frankly ridiculous, because how on earth does that logic even work, and if you can make that logic work, why does it only apply to the politician role and not every other role in the existence of the whole of SE? Honestly I'm so close to saying that I'm done defending myself when its cause I was given vote manip that I decided I wasn't gonna use rather than idk maybe I said something fishy but it's way easier to just cast suspicion on the ooh scary vote manip guy so if I stop defending myself then I might seriously get lynched while this thing 'Scholar = Good' would start up and well the game might as well end with an elim win at that point. ANOTHER thing, with caps for emphasis because I do not have the writing skills to express how annoyed I am, is that thing about 'giving sound advice is a great strategy for the elims'. Personally I'd argue that it's actually better for a villager to do to help out other villagers in hopes of everyone not committing mistakes and lynching the wrong person, but what does that even matter when I can't stop this absolute mess of a train of thought? Honestly I'm taking a break to cool down from this game see y'all in like 12 hours.
  14. Okay you know when you quote something and youre on mobile so you can't get rid of it wellllll just look above. 2. Jondesu: Div3. Devotary of Spontaneity: Akhanaka, a fearless ardent4. Eternum: Aiden7. Droughtbringer9. STINK: Trumpet Guy, BWOOT10. Madagascar: "Mad" Mapadonet, a famous pig researcher.15. Herowannabe: Nabbers, a Herdazian chouta street vendor16. Coop77218. Steeldancer. Okay so by my count, 9 players. Which with two elims already dead and the skybreakers out, means that I still reckon we got a decent chance. Now to go through thread. At this point, I'll just concede that Jon is a neutral, and stop expanding people's minds over there. However Eternum, sorry to say but I think I wanna contest that you're a confirmed citizen. Just from this post alone because mobile doesn't mean I can get like a bunch of posts and have to rely on an unreliable memory: 1. Using role names to determine someone's alignment at this point of the game? Seems a bit too weak of an argument at this point, though an elim wouldn't have to worry about that. 2. You also seem to throw out almost everything else that has happened in the game to go with your role name deciding mechanism. The reason for me likely being a citizen is because of my arbitrary role name compared to my part in killing inmates? Fair enough. 3. After doing all of that, you seem to ignore your own role deciding mechanism to just gut vote on Coop. Gut votes are fine by me, but that's when I'm just like 'meh I really don't know let's just go for this guy'. 4. The role of Private Detective (which finds roles) is in no way mechanically biased towards one side over another. Elims would also love to have a way to find people's roles other than needing trust and communication, which I guess also applies here. So role deciding mechanism ironically doesn't protect Tern Otherwise thinks thats it for now. Okay so same criticism for the most part what is this sudden thing of everyone just going 'he can do vote manip ergo likely elim'. If you could actually do that and it would work, then I would say that the game is unbalanced except in rare cases. I could apply the same reasoning to anyone with an ability where they can't be vote manipped, and be like 'thats great for an elim cause they can get away with some stuff' but I didn't cause it would ultimately be unfair to everyone with that role. When steel (?) first claimed that role and said that a vote manipper was likely to be evil because of it, it honestly came off to me as an elim trying to throw some shade on what could ultimately hurt their teammates. Same applies here Coop, why you gotta hate on me for what Len gave me. Reading posts after that seems to be something about Hero potentially being or not being a scholar, so I'll see after I post cause this has taken way too long if that situation has been resolved yet by people who can easily check that. See y'all soon hopefully, current thoughts are vote on either Eternum or Coop or even DROUGHT who is still lurking even though they're evil.
  15. Diaphragm Spasms? Or Diagram Spasms? This is a clear reason why Jondesu is secretly the most evil of all.
  16. 5 hours later, I'm wondering if you might need to make a new post for that Okay so hi it's me the guy who's all like 'EXPAND THE MIND' honestly I think I'm going a bit insane by how much I keep on saying that. Like by the end of this I'm just gonna be in a thread like by myself just screaming 'expand the mind' and then I ascend reality and the game is won because the game is no more for me. Anyway, back to original point. Jondesu while highly likely is Neutral, could not be Neutral. I mean honestly at this point it's like a 1% chance but I am determined to make us all good like modular players or something in terms of logic. I can totally see Len sitting there like 'we'll make him evil too' then does like an evil smile or something. I dunno, expand the mind guys. Also I still have more to say but it's lynchtime and time to do some more stuff so get ready for your third update of 'The Stink Sayings', only 5.99 from your local Kharbranth merchant or maybe even chouta vendor
  17. Alright guys first off I'm sorry for like not being here this cycle but I was trying to get some work done before going on holiday then had a friend over and all that stuff so basically mobile only for the foreseeable future. Moving on from that, gotta say I'm surprised to see three people just win the game after what, 3 or 4 people died? Guess that's one against the predictive powers of STINK. Also looks like there never really was an alignment scanner, which I'm always glad to see no matter what as they nearly always turn into 'follow the cop' which kinda sucks if you're not a cop. These thoughts are starting to seem quite scattered tbh but I'm on that Domino's high (only 20.99 for a banging deal) Also should probably get onto the meat of the write-up other than like three peeps being. That being the alignment change. I think I can summarise my thoughts in like three ways (as the open your mind guy). 1. Changing of Alignment wording means that it could be good to evil/neutral, evil to good/neutral, neutral to good/evil. 2. Of the options, it's not likely for it to be evil to good or evil to neutral, however the other options cannot be ruled out so easily. 3. I honestly think that maybe someone changed alignment to neutral specifically, those being the spybreaker apprentice. Have two reasons for that but cannot eloborate rn as holiday packing is about to commence. Enjoy your Tuesday/Wednesday folks
  18. So we're claiming in thread now? Interessant.
  19. you better get used to that feeling, bud.
  20. So we're claiming in thread now? Interessant. It's not useless though, 'cause now the elims don't have to try and get your role from you. Also, I trust Mad so y'all don't start a bandwagon on em.
  21. Okay so I'm back in this thread woohoo. Anyway, it's me again, the guy that always tells people to open their mind or something I'm a mystic deal with it. A mystic with an accompanying trumpet. Back to the actual point: I agree that this seems to mean that there is indeed an elim team, but that does not (bold for fancy emphasis) rule out that there is conversion. I would ask everyone to still be cautious of the possibility of conversions. Quoted 'cause this is what I'm on about. Who says the inmates don't have a conversion ability? Could be a second Evil group with conversion. Doesn't look like the initial rules rule that out. But yeah, don't y'all start forming trust groups or something when conversions could still be about for maybe just the initial few cycles. Otherwise where's the rest of y'all with your analysis and stuff.
  22. I should play that card more. 'Why did you kill him?' 'Well my reasons are my reasons and not yours so tyvm'. Now now, why would that be?
  23. Drought. Drake Good ol neutral claim.
  24. Tab was left open Also I've semi-decided that now I'm gonna keep my vote on Drought so y'all have a motivation to vote for someone else or else innocent little drought dies
  25. I can try and summarise all my posts with an initial statement of what the post is if ya want Also I'm still keeping my vote on Drought 'cause where are you @Droughtbringer I haven't seen ya in a while.
