  1. Bondsmiths normally can't combine realms even the stormfather was shocked when Dalinar did it. Dalinar can combine realms because honor is dead and the stormfather is a cognitive shadow of honor.
  2. I doubt Timbre is Eshonai because I'm pretty sure Eshonai had a glowing comet spren following her in WoR. Also Timbre talks about humans killing a lot of her kind which is why Timbre choose a singer instead of a human.
  3. Lift has never really had a ton of stormlight so its possible if she were to eat a ton of food and convert it into stormlight she would be able to use progression on her self to heal significantly faster at the cost of stormlight. Renarin used up most of his large supply of stormlight Dalinar gave him just recovering from from the injuries the Thunderclast gave him so this sort of rapid healing is clearly very expensive. Its also possible that this healing requires an active use of the progression surge and Lift just is not familiar enough with the surge to use it in this way.
  4. The dawnshards or whatever enabled humans to destroy their planet might be hidden there. Though why Odium wouldn't have started his attack there if this was the case I am not sure. Unless he was somehow convinced that they couldn't be there.
  5. Odium was probably worried someone might know about the gem stone. I think it was included in the radiant records in the epigraphs though not specifically how it could be used. What I am confused about is why he didn't destroy the gem.
  6. In an interview he said he just figured out the outline for Dark One. So that might be the mystery project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfIb8kxpIq8 Start at 44 minute mark.
  7. I'm not sure if this had been proposed already but I just had an interesting thought. Lifts ability to metabolize stormlight and the fact that the wyndle mentioned that the spren selected her because she was chosen by the night watcher, all remind me of Spoilers For Mistborn: Sorry if it's not as coherent as I would like I'm typing this on my phone in the middle of the night. Please share your thoughts. Sorry I just realized this belongs in Cosmere theories, but I'm not sure how to move it.
  8. I'm wondering could you potentially awaken something that isn't a solid. Blood is pretty close to being alive so it could potential be cheaper than metal. Also if you were to awaken a liquid or potentially a gas how would that work.
  9. We know that Khriss is only about a thousand years old because her origin story is White Sands. Or at least from the way she acts in the graphic novel it seems unlikely that she was actually ancient at the time. I think that the reason she knows about the shards origins is there could potential be in silverlight who were alive be for the shattering or at least some people lived past the shattering and left records.
  10. I am pretty sure inquisitors have to burn metals for one thing Marsh had a metal vial on him that Vin stole in Hero of Ages and this WoB QUESTION So do Inquisitors, when they use Allomancy, have to actually ingest the metals? BRANDON SANDERSON They actually do. So what is happening is Hemalurgy rips off a piece of one person's soul and spikes it somebody else and so it is basically taking off the piece of someone's soul that makes them an Allomancer and adding it to someone else instead and so then they act as an Allomancer just as it would happen. This WoB makes it seem to me that Inquistors have to burn metals just like any other Allomancer.
  11. What I'm curious to is how people are initiated into sand mastery. What this new preview seems to suggest is its genetic. but if I remember correctly the Elantris Ars Arcanum says that the people on Taldain are initiated differently than on Scadrial where people are born with their powers so the initiation is genetic.
  12. I think all of the combat oriented orders would be able to handle koloss.
  13. I would think that an inquisitor would probably lose to a full windrunner and maybe one or two other orders. Unless the inquisitor has unlimited atium or has access to compounding.
  14. I thought Kalads phantoms were lifeless made of bones, but placed inside of stone. If this is the case just because the stone statues were grey doesn't mean that the lifeless bones will be grey.
  15. Well doesn't Syl say that she used to hunt some type of lesser spren. So greater spren (honor spren and other bond spren) probably don't care too much about lesser spren.
  16. Yeah I have to agree that the Lord Ruler was a jerk. He went way too far. As powerful as he was he didn't need treat the skaa as he did. He also didn't need to treat the terris as he did because he could have just avoided handing out the lerasium beads and got people to join him because of his awesome power. This would have prevented another fullborn from being made as there wouldn't be any mistborn.
  17. The quote about not having enough info was before BoM if that helps. Here it is: Nov 6th, 2012QUESTION I think I remember hearing you say before that Mistborn was going to be three trilogies? BRANDON SANDERSON It'll be three trilogies, yes. QUESTIONWith the technology advancing and going faster than light...? BRANDON SANDERSONYes, the FTL is built into the magic systems and so there will be something where they figure out how to do that with the magic and spaceships will be propelled using that. QUESTIONOkay, awesome, just wanted to double check that. JOSHExpanding bubbles around the engines and around the ships? BRANDON SANDERSONYou will see, you will see. JOSHSomeone on the site actually has- BRANDON SANDERSONActually figured it out? QUESTIONHas a very convincing theory. BRANDON SANDERSONThey're missing a very big important piece of the puzzle that you won't get for a few more books.
  18. I think there is a WoB on being able to burn a hemalurgic spike when it is implanted in your body so I would assume you could burn injected metals.
  19. I think Edgli is using Returned to shape the people of Nalthis or at least the course of history for something (perhaps Endowment has something similar to what Preservation did in a grand master plan for the good of the cosmere or at least her planet/shard). Quotes talking about Returned coming back for a reason: " One thing to note about the Returned coming back is that they dosee the future, but when they Return, they aren’t guaranteed to be able to change anything." "She Returned because she didn’t want T’Telir to fall to the invaders she saw taking it after Bluefingers and the others caused their revolt. That was why she gathered the armies. While she didn’t succeed in her quest as well as Lightsong did, she did help out quite a bit." I think it is probably endowment showing them the future. I think she chooses to show them certain things so that they will act in a way that furthers her interests (hopefully those are for the good), but I have no evidence for this. If she does show them things that will cause them to act in a way that furthers her interests than I think we can conclude that she wants T'Telir to remain strong for the time being. I am not certain if people return through out the rest of the planet, but if they do then she is likely able to have a significant impact on the course of history on Nalthis through Returned. As to why and what she plans, I have no clue. I think it will something to do with events that haven't revealed themselves though. Probably the main conflict of the mistborn space trilogy. I don't think it has to do with Odium as I think he is a red herring. And I think it is more complex than simply nightblood as she is still returning people (I am assuming she has control on her Returns, but I have no evidence).
  20. I suspect that the 17th shard uses southern scadrain magic style to some degree (I have no evidence but it provides an excellent way to get access to other magic systems) but I think atium would still be required to compound age. Also I doubt he is only relying on jumping forward in time if he relies on it at all.
  21. Well he appears to part of the 17th shard and I think that all of their members that we know of have agelessness of some sort. While it is definitely possible that he is an atium compounder he would have to have a supply of atium and I am not sure where he would get that from. I think it is more likely that he gets his immortality the same way the rest of the 17th shard gets it, but I am not sure how they do though.
  22. It may be possible for him to replenish his breath with the mists. But I agree with your point about him sticking out due to his sword.
  23. Well the Letter seems to say that the 17th Shard is working for Frost and since Frost is on Yolen and is able to communicate with the 17th shard I don't think Hoids ability to deliver the Letter to Yolen is what they want from him.
  24. I'm pretty sure the Lord Rulers method of Allomantic compounding was revealed in Bands of Morning.
