  1. It was done. Alone in a room of the very same inn that the-late-Mayor Twim was murdered in, Nik pondered his existence in silence. The man was exasperated, to say the least; his mind clogged with thoughts of what could have been, if only his father hadn't been a Darkfriend. Not just any Darkfriend, he reminded himself, but a vessel for an evil as dark as the Dark One himself. An evil even darker, perhaps. He shuddered at the thought. It was done, finally, after a decade of non-stop searching, and what was he? Pleased? Uneasy? Relieved? Disappointed? Though he didn't have the heart to admit it, he was all of these and a thousand things more. His father was dead, at his very own hand, and what was he to do? For a moment he considered saying a prayer for the man consumed by Mashadar, but he dismissed that notion quickly. No prayer could redeem his cursed soul now, if such a thing even remained. He considered leaving Drell's Crossing cloaked in the night, of returning to his mother in the Three-fold Land, though he dismissed that notion just as quickly. She would never welcome him back, not even if the Clan Chief himself greeted him with open arms. Not after what he did. Instead, the man called Nik slept. Or at least tried his best to. Despite the fatigue his thoughts would not let him, lifelong vengeance exacted or not. For hours he laid in that lump-ridden bed in silence, fingering the hilt of his knife in the dark, cursing himself for not being stronger. Cursing himself for not yet being dead. Rage took him suddenly, hand grabbing the knife by its blade so tight that it split his flesh and spilled something warm and crimson across his lap. A second later and the knife was sticking out of the door across the room, blood dripping from its razor edge. Tears dripped from his chin, too. What was he to do? When the silence became too loud for him to bear, his emotions too maddening for him to reflect upon any further, the man called Nik leapt to his feet, tore his knife free from the door, and departed into the night. Darkfriend dad dead or not, those tainted by him still lingered. Though he was no hero, he decided right then he would kill them too. Kill them, or die trying. Light, how he wished he would just die trying. Why Lopen? Yes, @Bugsy6912, it is essential you do not make a kill. At least one of the Ta'veren are Corrupt (we know now that Joe is, without a doubt), though I suspect both are. My only concern is that if he IS Corrupt, can we trust that Rubiks is Corrupt, too? It's possible that him "redirecting Hael to Rubiks" was just a ploy to frame him, but it's also possible that Joe was tainted afterwards. You've had to have received that PM by now. Who did Aonar Corrupt?
  2. Just in case this isn't too late: Nikel Fain, Meta. Edit: Yes, Lopen, and for whatever reason Joe just made it extremely obvious he is Corrupt.
  3. Haha of course not Jaime! I'm happy to have you join our tiny, totally-not-bloodthirsty community
  4. Well I'm confident that I speak for everyone when I say we'd be happy to have you join the mayhem. If you can't commit to this one or the recently announced MR, I'm sure there will be a game ready when you return.
  5. Hey there @Magestar, I see you viewing LG22 pretty often. Any desire to give one of these games a shot?
  6. That's a good idea, actually. Would prevent a lot of guess work. Not sure what upsets me more; that you'd even suggest that, given how tactically unsound it is, or that such poor logic received an upvote. That being said, this will be my last post for this game, unless I'm needed to place a vote next day turn (in which case just tag me with an @ and who you need me to vote for). I am getting way too frustrated with all the implications of me being evil when I have done nothing but good. Ada out.
  7. I was panicking because I either forgot, or didn't realize, that the Ta'veren can't force Bugsy to make a kill if he doesn't put an order in. Knowing that I am a lot less concerned, and I agree 100% with this assessment. Even if I'm right about Jaime being Corrupt, it's not as critical that we lynch her now as I first believed. Aonar is, and should have always been, our priority. @STINK, you need to Thief-Take either Jaime or Joe. I want to say her because of how fast she was to accuse Mailliw of being a Corrupt Wisdom, as if she had that response pre-planned, but given that @The Only Joe was apparently supposed to redirect Aonar to Rubiks and that appears to have failed, there's a decent chance he could be the reason we failed, too. If Stink proves that Jaime was honest when she said she tried to redirect me, or that Joe was not responsible for making Mailliw heal Rubiks, I have an idea that should allow them to prove themselves / put us in a much better position then we are now. My only real concern is if we decide on this lynch too soon then discussion might stagnate. Either way, here's some vote tallies. Lynch vote: (1) Rubiks: Bugsy, (3) Aonar: Meta, Lopen, Aman (1) Mailliw: Jaime, Mayor Vote: (1) Aman: Aman, (1) Mailliw: Mailliw, (1) Meta: Lopen,
  8. Well yeah, because if we let you survive until the night turn (like you all allowed Aonar to do last turn) then you'd be free to use your redirect to cause more chaos, such as redirect the Wolfbrother to kill another one of us. Nope. I'm not going to let that happen. The only reason why I don't think you did that last night is because you wanted to try to make an argument that our Wisdom was Corrupt when he actually wasn't, hoping that we might lynch him for protecting Rubiks and thus allowing the newly Corrupted Joe and you to control all of the night kills without opposition and by next turn be able to overpower us villagers in the lynch. You're right that Bugsy could certainly be Corrupt, as well as Mailliw, but I really, really, really think its you. We are in such a terrible position right now, it's not even funny... I saw this coming. I saw it coming a cycle away. Why didn't you guys just listen to me last turn :[
  9. @The Only Joe Who have you redirected so far this game? Who did you redirect last night? I'm confident you're Corrupted now but it still wouldn't hurt to ask. Also, because I love tables so much: Name Role(“claim”) Padan? Aman Aiel-Blooded Proven NP by Lynch Bugsy Wolfbrother Proven NP by Kills Meta “Dreamwalker” Proven NP by Detainment Lopen “Aiel-Blooded” Proven NP by Detainment Elodin Dreamwalker Proven NP by Multiple Kill Atempts Stink Thief-Taker Proven NP by Scans Mailliw Wisdom Proven NP by Rubik’s Second Survival (could be Corrupted) Jaimee Ta’veren Proven NP by Bugsy (could be Corrupt) Rubiks “Aiel-Blooded” Proven NP by Fireball (unless healed by Wisdom) Joe Ta’veren Vouched for by Aonar (could be a lie but in that case Corrupt) Aonar “Viewer” Only truly unaccountable role Top are all the proven Non-Padans, middle are players that are proven Non-Padan but based off Rubik's being healed could be Corrupt, and bottom's are still unproven. As far as I know, no one else has claimed that they were redirected by Joe other than Hael/Aonar, sooo I'm going to remain skeptical about his ability. Either way, Jaime is a for sure proven Ta'veren who also just happened to not put in an order that could be accounted for on the same night a Wisdom was redirected, who I am more inclined to trust given he actually voted for Aonar while she wanted to give him a chance.
  10. Hey now, don't lump me in with ya'll mundane villagers. I did everything I could, even made very sound arguments (at least in my opinion). Not my fault the current Mayor is more stubborn than a mule. Personally, I trust Jaime this game about as much as I trust Mailliw, well, ever. I still stand by my conclusion that she was Corrupted on the first night (though sadly Mailliw would be my second guess). I'm more suspicious of Jaime being Corrupted than Mailliw for two reasons, though. Last turn she was very pushy about giving Aonar a chance to speak, then after he roleclaimed a chance to use his ability (frequently tried to argue against him being Detained, or at least tried to provide counterpoints, which in my opinion made no sense from a strategic standpoint) and the fact that she once again has claimed to use her ability in a way that cannot be proven (If Aonar is Padan and corrupted Jaime N1, then she would know that Rubiks is also Corrupted and thus not want to waste her redirect on him. She would say she used it on me instead, citing that she didn't trust me, and instead redirect Mailliw's healing to save Rubiks, who she knew was going to be attacked by a Wolfbrother. Meanwhile Rubiks, a Corrupted and Darkfriend, kills Sheep to make sure that he can't detain Aonar or any one of them again. Padan puts in the order to Corrupt someone just in case (since Sheep never even said that he was Detaining him) and wala. We are where we are now. If I were Aonar / Padan I would have Corrupted Joe this turn. Having two Ta'veren on his team, along with a Darkfriend, allows him to successfully manipulate two kills every night and even a healing, if necessary. It's just the best strategic option, especially considering the Thief-Taking ability is pretty much pointless for them at this point, most of the Aiel-Blooded players have already lost their extra lives, and Dreamwalkers are useless to them if they have all the kill actions anyway. They could have taken the Wolfbrother or Wisdom themselves but then they'd be susceptible to village redirects. My conclusion: Aonar, Jaime, Rubiks and Joe are the Corrupted, which leaves Meta, Bugsy, Stink, Lopen, Elodin, Mailliw and me the last remaining villagers (assuming Rubiks is a Darkfriend). Lynching Aonar is pointless right now unless he has a fourth Corruption, which I severely doubt. If we lynch Rubiks they should lose their Darkfriend kill (that's only if we assume he is the last Darkfriend, which is risky, even if we know for a fact that Aonar is Padan and therefore Rubiks is Corrupted. Thing is, if Joe happens to be the player that was corrupted on the first night, then that could have been a lie Hael and him made to frame Rubiks in case Hael got caught, which was bound to happen sooner rather than later). In my opinion we need to lynch one of the Ta'veren for sure, and I'm leaning towards Jaime being the originally Corrupted Ta'veren / the one who redirected Mailliw. Also, Nikel Fain for mayor, since the current Mayor was so intent on lynching me last round, which I will likely never stop believing was the worst decision we've ever made as a collective.
  11. Don't mind this little rant, but I just want to say I don't get why it's so hard to understand why I didn't want us to waste my extra life. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I walk in the light. Of course I'm going to fight tooth and nail for us not to waste a turn. I feared that something just like what just happened would, that someone would fail to do their action as needed or someone who we needed to do something was actually Corrupt and would allow us to fail. Meta argued that lynching me was the better option because then there was no negative impact on the village. Is that still true now that the night is done? Padan most likely got away with Corrupting someone else, a village Whitecloak is dead and the player who is most likely to be a Darkfriend still lives. This is exactly what I was trying to prevent.
  12. @Gamma Fiend if Padan was redirected to Corrupt himself or someone already Corrupted, would we be told in the write up? Also, if I don't use an action do I get a PM saying I was redirected, like "You feel the Wheel Weave the threads around you" or some flavorful nonsense like that? (I'm guessing no). Personally, Jaime, I'm very sad you felt the need to test that on me and not Rubiks you could have saved a Whitecloaks life AND killed Padan if you did (assuming it's him and not Elodin).
  13. First, @Meta, I'm sorry if you think i was pushing an agenda towards you but I wasn't. I had been defending you from Mailliw for the exact thing you brought up last night, I just forgot that you were detained when I was thinking back on unaccountable actions. Anyway, Mailliw, did you intentionally protect Rubiks to prove yourself? Or were you redirected by a Ta'veren? My theory about the last Darkfriend being Corrupted seems to check out, given that Sheep was killed. I don't think they would have made that choice on their own. Still, with Mailliw being proven that means no one else can literally be Fain. Am I right? Oh, and, given the fact that Sheep clearly didn't put the order in, I just want to say I told you all we should have lynched Aonar last cycle, because now we've got a third Corrupted to worry about and everyone who didn't vote for him / who voted for me is to blame
  14. Of course I was telling the truth :[ why would I lie? @AliasSheep Did you get your order in on Aonar like we asked? I figured. So then the last Darkfriend has to be either Rubiks, Elodin, Meta or Mailliw, if I remember the accountable actions correctly.
  15. I'm at the airport now and will be flying out soon, not entirely sure when I will be online again next. Just want to say that I told you that you all were barking up the wrong tree by taking my extra life away. I'll see you all in a few days. Best of luck this coming night.
  16. Rubiks to confirm if he's the last Darkfriend (kinda pointless if Aonar is Padan because he's Corrupt anyway and we'll kill him). Jaime to confirm she actually redirected Bugsy (to make sure if we're wrong about Aonar that they're not pulling a fast one on us). Lopen to make for certain that he's not the last Darkfriend (Seonid helped kill Sart so it's perfectly reasonable he did too, as well as Gunshy given that it would have made him look suspicious if he opposed the village then). I think Jaime is the best option but, no one cares about my opinion anyway.
  17. The issue is Kills come after Corruption. So if Aonar has a third Corruption he would be able to convert one of us if he isn't Detained, and we would have to spend more time trying to figure out who that is. If you want to make this game more challenging, then I MIGHT be willing to get behind that (all I care about is if Padan dies or not). But I highly doubt other people would like that.
  18. "I get that. I really do. But because I know what I am, who I am, I know it's a waste of time. If everyone else is what they say are that means M'hael has to be my father. I've traveled from the heart of the Three-Fold Land to the shores of Seanchan looking for him, and now that I've finally found him, have him within my grasp, the residents of some useless hobble of a village in the middle of nowhere won't let me exact my revenge! Can you not see how that might frustrate me?"
  19. That's why we are having this conversation Padan can only be Mailliw, Jaime/Bugsy or Aonar/Joe right now. I'm more inclined to believe it's Aonar/Joe than any of the others. If Jaime is the true Padan then that means Bugsy would have to be Corrupt in order to claim he was redirected by her, or vice versa (Bugsy could be Padan and Jaime the true Wolfsibling, but in this scenario that means the Wolfsibling would have been Corrupted N1). This same thing applies to Aonar/Joe (unless someone else has been redirected and can vouch for him). So basically it's just a way to make sure that those two are not lying and we follow a false lead with Aonar/Rubiks. I think that's how Mailliw is thinking right now, at least.
  20. Well this has officially been the most frustrating turn I've ever played. Why have I even bothered. I do agree with that though. If you aren't lying that means Aonar must be Padan, which means Rubiks is for sure Corrupted and we need to kill him anyway (unless Jaime is Corrupted and not actually a Ta'veren, and her claim of redirecting Aonar to Rubiks was just a plot to get us to follow a false lead). @STINK Thief-taking it would help prove that for us. Fair enough. Though either way if you're a Wisdom you're just as likely to be the last Darkfriend as Elodin, Rubiks or Lopen, then.
  21. Conq claimed to me the night after we lynched Gunshy. He told me he Detained Lopen N1 so I confronted Lopen N1 pretending to be the Whitecloak who Detained him. My intent was to either catch Lopen in a lie (why would a villager hide being Detained on a night where a kill was missing?) or Conq in a lie (I didn't tell him I was messaging Lopen so if Lopen turned out to not be Detained, that meant Conq was trying to gain my trust by claiming a role that the Darkfriends had just lost). Just in case Lopen was a Darkfriend I wanted him to believe I was the Whitecloak so that he'd tell his Darkfriend friends and hopefully they'd end up wasting an attack on me. It turned out that Gamma had made a mistake so when Lopen told me that, I decided to ask Conq who he was Detaining next (he told me Jaime, which she admitted the next day turn, so from that point on I trusted him absolutely). I decided to keep up the lie just in case Lopen was lying about Gamma making a mistake. He also slipped up and said I was a Whitecloak in thread, so at that point I thought for sure I'd get attacked so that gave me even more incentive to keep it going. Is it a waste of a Detain, though? With Mailliw now claiming Wisdom (if it's true) Aonar or I are the only possible Padans. Detaining me and lynching him means no one else can get Corrupted tonight, and you guys can be free to test my extra life another time. Meta can't be Padan because he was Detained last night by Sheep (unless someone else wants to counter claim being Detained). Lopen can't be Padan because he was Detained N1 by Conquestor, a night a Corruption also took place. Therefore it's only Aonar or I, and I know for a fact it's not I. That's why I do not want to waste this lynch proving it, when it can be proven next turn (which wouldn't be necessary in the first place because Aonar IS Padan, as you'd all see if we just kill him). EDIT: Also, you're just as unproven as us if you've never had a successful healing.
  22. Ah, I see. I disagree with that not being villagery though. Why would a Darkfriend claim a Villager's role? Unless I had a way to ensure Conq remained alive the entire game and never told anyone else his role / turned on me, it'd be way too risky. The fact of the matter is I knew I had an extra life and by claiming something like Whitecloak I might bait the Darkfriends into attacking me, simultaneously proving I'm not Fain and that I'm not a Darkfriend. I wouldn't have minded being attacked by a Wolfsibling though, because the lynch is literally the only tool I have to kill the Padan (the only thing I really care about this game) and it really irks me that it's being wasted doing something that you could prove tonight or the next day turn if I'm Detained. Edit: I still think we should lynch Aonar and Detain me. Knowing you're the Wolfbrother the only way that Jaime could be lying about being Ta'veren is if you were Corrupted either last night or N1 while she's the other Corrupted. So really if it's not Aonar/Rubiks then it has to be Jaime/Bugsy, or Mailliw is Padan in which cause I have no idea who he'd have taken.
  23. Ah, huh. Well that would have lessened a lot of stress for me if it succeeded. Can I ask why you decided to choose me, though?
