I also wonder if the "coal" on Roshar is one of those translation moments. Just as any bird is a chicken, could any carbon source be "coal"? Especially if it could be burned? Roshar seems to be perfectly primed to generate large amounts of limestone, given that most animals, both sea and land, have shells. Does anyone with a more solid chemistry background know if carbon could be released from limestone if it was the vessel for a charcoal fire?

I don't think there is anything specific per se that the Sibling if of Roshar. That being said, I think logically it would be hard to explain if they were not. Given that the other two godspren are of Roshar (Stormfather stated that he is, Cultivation and Honor arrived together, and Nightwatcher is of Cultivation), it would be highly unlikely given what we know that the Sibling would be from a different world. We also have seen no spren from another world as yet. Brandon is usually very good about seeding hints, and we have seen no such hints. My personal theory is that Rysn will be the one to bond the Nightwatcher. We know that she has an interest in growing things (Shin grass, larkin) and she has a ship that would enable her to get close to the Valley.

The Surges were definitely present prior to the KR and Heralds. The Stormfather says that Jezrien was not a Windrunner, he was before Windrunners. His powers were not named, he was just Jezrien. Also, I suspect the Elia Stele was not a contemporary document, but instead an inscription some number of years later. At the time, surges were associated with spren, hence the wording. Brandon has stated that a lot of the ancient history and chronology is incorrect.

Do we actually know the exact order of events between the False Desolation, abandoning Urithiru, and the Recreance? My understanding/head cannon was that the Tower began to fail during the False Desolation, then Ba-Ado-Mishrim was imprisoned. Urithiru was abandoned at some point following this. Shortly thereafter, the Recreance occured.

I have a very different take on Adolin's future. This is based in my theory that Kaladin will reform Honor and Ascend. When he does so, he will need new Heralds to replace the existing ones. I think that Adolin will skip KR status and become the new Edgedancer Herald. While Ash and Taln may be restored to sanity by the Ascension, the rest seem beyond redemption, especially Ishar. Therefore, all orders except Dustbringer and Stoneward will need new Heralds. I also see the role of the Heralds changing from "dying and being tortured to contain Odium" to "regulating the orders of Knights Radiant".

Crazy theory: Each of the 10 Silver Kingdom cities has a shape based on a frequency that corresponds to the Investiture frequency of each of the 10 surges. This would explain why the Singers seem to have taken on the characteristics of the city they lived in. They were responding, perhaps subconsciously, to the frequency used to construct these cities. It may also explain how those cities came to have these characteristics in the first place, as humans are known to subconsciously respond to the Rhythms.
