I'm confused why would there be no hole, the arrow goes through the person? can you explain? and why do you have to kill? you just have to make them not able to fight

sigh just a normal average hole going straight through your body, you know, the usual. the type of hole that won't have you bleed out in minutes or put you tons of pain. plus any muscles that the arrow hits would be rendered useless. I don't completely understand why it wouldn't "cut enough soul to matter" (I thought the body part that gets cut dies, enlighten me). and high quality arrows that are infinite and can pierce through almost anything seems pretty useful to me. why would they pass through? they would keep the properties of a shardblade but in arrow form, this means that they wouldn't break, would be very strong, pierce all armour (and do a lot of damage to shard plate) and kill the body part that it hits (no need for head shots). It doesn't matter if the arrow goes through something because there would be a gaping hole and the organs around the hole would be dead. And the spren would only turn back into a spren and fly back to the archer after the damage has been done, trust me it makes sense. It would be a very effective weapon (if paired with a "shard bow") especially used in the hands of a very good archer cough cough Rock.

My name is Tanavast and I'm the owner and god of the finest alley in all of Kasitor, I've been looking for a partnership for quite a while and the DA seems like the perfect fit. I am constantly being ripped off when guests do not pay up rent for staying in my fine alley and when voidbringers wreak havoc on my city without any thought of giving me compensation. Being a god can be very stressful at times so I think my only option is to ask for a "cookie" stand to be set up in my alley. In exchange for this service I would offer to split the profit from my alley rental (maybe we could even make my city a tourist attraction), very nice free tubers and free room and board. I know, you would either need to carry a "shard" bow (thats not actually a shard) with your spren turning into an arrow (spren then returns to surge binder for another shot) or your spren turning into a bow while carrying a quiver of arrows. sorry, I thought I made this clear.

I actually never thought that stonewards wouldn't be fighters. interesting point. I view them as fighters because they were said to be more than any other order match in nature and temperament to their Herald, and there herald is Talenal stone sinew Herald of WAR. I just assumed that they were also alike in that they fought (why would the leader of the stonewards do something completely different from his order?). The surges that the herald of war (they had surges right? or just the radiants?) used are definitely war oriented (or can be) seeing as he is the herald of war. I also feel that each of the radiant orders has a role to fill, and the best role that I can see for the stonewards is Bodyguard/workhorse (because they are very reliable, loyal and trustworthy). Based on this I still believe that stonewards would be oriented around combat, but it does make sense that they all don't fight. You also said that you support the theory of more than 10 radiants being focused on. How is this a theory, its fact. There were definitely more than 10 radiants (not heralds) in every other period of history, it states several times that there were lots of radiants (day of recreance) so why would there only be ten now? Plus, I'm hoping sanderson will kill some radiants too, so having more than 1 radiant (as backups) for each order makes sense. I'm a little lost with this "theory" and it would be nice if someone could explain the other theory (only 10 radiants). And in comment about Rock changing station, I just assumed (yes, another assumption) that if your older brother died you took on their station. The idea behind this predestined role for sons is that the most important roles needed to be filled, so if one of the older brothers die, their role needs to be filled and the younger sons move up on the list (theory). If that were the case, Rock could've grown up a 3rd son learning how to be a warrior and then BAM one of his older brothers die forcing him to be a cook. And that would explain why Rock is an expert with the bow, how he nearly kills surge binder kaladin with a tree and why he seems a little reluctant with his cooking. If rock can step over the cultural boundary of keeping his role (maybe if he doesn't) and not fighting he could become a pretty amazing stoneward. We'll see what happens but lets just say I'm very hopeful

Can pattern fly as so much as hover (he doesn't seem to move when doing this)? and I did note that pattern does turn into a sword, but i was wondering about the other orders. I do feel that my theory is wrong but I can have hopes. And what is WoB (typo, words of brandon)? And I have only seen confirmation for a few orders not all.

One thing I don't understand is are all radiant's spren able to turn into weapons? Can Lift's plant spren turn into a weapon ? I mean all spren seem to have different abilities and obviously give certain abilities but is turning into a weapon something all spren should be able to do. Does shallan's and jasnah's spren sword debunk this theory? I'm getting the feeling that they all can but I hope that they don't. Lightweavers spren (shallan's) should be able to solve puzzles and detect lies but turn into a flying weapon doesn't make sense because IT CAN'T FLY and it doesn't seem to shape shift (based on pattern). I think giving the different spren different abilities would make it more interesting and more diverse. ** and by all spren I mean ones that bond to radiants

you could make your spren turn into a hammer though and it would be very useful (lighter, able to mess with length of handle, density) some shards I WOULD like to see is shard maces, shard shields, shard bows or arrows, and flails. Almost any weapon as a spren would be better because they would be very very very good quality, and easy access (think of a normal "shard bow" with infinite arrows) . I do really want to see (definitely coming) Stoneward Rock use his spren as a Hammer and bow or arrow. BRING IT. IF YOU DON'T SANDERSON I WILL be very sad .
