Adolin has even more traits he shares with Lift; the playful, somehow gambling nature and he is even superstitious (he is the only superstitious brighteye character currently known!). Probably, these are traits often shared by edgedancers.

Fourth oath of the windrunners (spoilers)
Alfa replied to Josiah Bills's topic in Stormlight Archive
My family is more or less like this. While I'm more a Renarin-type guy, one of my sisters is very similar to Adolin. Either way, both Dalinar and Kaladin have a lack on analytic skills, and (especially Kaladin) difficulties to deal with insults. -

Your boon is to remember your password again. Okay, I wish for an appropriate Everstorm-Protection for my highprincedom. -

Okay, I talked about the "calm" analytical skill outside of combat - but knowing, that Renarin never was raised as a soldier, this is forgivable for him. It's not unlikely that over time he will learn to stay calm even in dangerous situations. EDIT: I think, that Renarin is an action man, more or less. He only hadn't have much chances to train usefull skills for it, due to a lack of controlable situations to train with. -
Hm, probably if one eye is heterochromatic, this could be understood as holy and/or blasphemous, in reference to the eye of the almighty.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. Your curse is to forget the password to your 17th shard account. I wish my Parshen will be immune to voidbringerizing (or how do you call it? to desolating?) -
Yes, but only, if he does not kill any other innocents by his own hand... Basically, honor has the most difficult shard intent, full of Dilemmas and Paradoxes. But he does not seem like the guy, who puts the world in flames. EDIT: This does not mean, that he won't let the world go up in flames for some honorable (but probably not very rational) reason.

Also, hate is not exactly opposite to honor. Honor doesn't neglect hate under any condition, and it would be absolutely not first-ideal-conform to destroy every being, that feels some hatred. Even worse, a desolation has exosbirant high collateral damage, if it's intent is to destroy something special [be it some people or a whole life form (in this case, mankind)]. Other people, listeners and spren and who knows what will suffer because of it, and Honor seems to me to be the shard, that cares about collateral damge. Damnation, if somebody cares about collateral damage, then Honor.

TCShard: Granted, but your curse will be, that you will be splintered by Odium in the first 20 Rosharan hours of your cexistence as a Shard and taken to Braize/Damnation to being tortured. Also, on Braize you will be gifted with the ability to grant people small boons combined with huge curses, and suffer each curse also on yourself. I wish to become a highprince in Jah keved, since there are many vacancies on this position. -

..and in a need of Renarin's skill at calmly analyzing the situation. -
Would be interesting to know, if Sadeas has illegitimate children. Hoid is talking somewhere in TWOK about Sadeas visiting whores, and in Mr. T's chapter in WOR is mentioned something, like the illegitimate heterochromatic-eyed son of highprince Valam could have a claim on the title of his father, even if it was strongly diminished by his eye-colour, illegitimate status and the fact, that he stabbed his own father. So, if sadeas has an illegitimate child (especially a bright-eye) a gang could try to make this child the new highprince.

I agree. Was only a thought, not really a full-grown theory. And yes, i confound blasphemous and heretical. (English is not my native language. I'm german/russian. By the way, the german word for Honor, "Ehre" is also Alethi-Symmetrical)
-
More heretical names, this times two highprinces (seems, that heresy is not so uncommon): Hatham and Vamah. I think, that I figured out, where the "H-rule" can come from: in this case HONOR is perfectly symmetrical.

I disagree about the points of needs of the many/ needs of the few part. It would not go very good along with the first ideal. The Almighty cares more about how people lived and less, what they achieved. So it would be the right thing to protect a few people who cannot protect themselves, and not to protect the larger group, which is well-armed and trained, even if in the end it will result in more deaths. -
On some research, I found other people with heretically symmetric names in the books: Laral (Kaladin's childhood friend), Rillir (Roshone's son), Tarah (Kaladin's former lover). Even more interesting, that in the first two cases the parents were brighteyes, presumably also Vorinists.
-
Vathah seems to be named symmetrically by accident or atheistic parents...
-
Acoording to Vorinism "Vathah" is perfectly symmetrical, making the name heretical. And, most insulting, Vathah is a Darkeye, a deserter. More about names: I find it strange, that no one of the Kholin family has even slightly symmetrical names. Any thoughts on this?

Shard of Infinite Catalogs. Of course you can youse those fancy fireball-spell. You just have to check in Section D/5/XH12a(IV) or probably in... (and the hero was killed by an arrow) Shard of Ununderstandable Statistics: There is an approximate 34%-Chance, that your opponent will be grilled, but also about 23%, that a giraffe somewhere on the other side of the world will seek to kill you and also a chance (not affecteb by the others) of around 73% that you will get temporal green rabbit ears.

Theory: Dalinar's Boon Was To Forget (Warning: Baseless Speculation)
Alfa replied to Adamir's topic in Stormlight Archive
Okay, I'll try to tear this apart. There are mainly two points: 1) Gavilar died and Dalinar was not capable of protecting him. 2) People often say, that Dalinar is weaker than the Blackthorn he was before. My personal theory is, that Dalinar asked for Strategic or Tactical skill. In his early days he never seemed to be a good tactican, he only fought like a wild axehound. Later he seemed more like the calm, planning General. -
Stormlight is at least it's Energy source. Without stormlight you won't be able go a single step in it. I think, that Shardplate is not exactly stormlight in solid form, but something else... through not exactly a Fabrial. But, "modern" Shardplate seems to differ from "ancient", because the windrunners in Dalinar's vision could fly. This is going more in the direction of the Shardplate-is-Stormlight-theory, but I think that there is one missing element, which we don't know yet.

There were some clues, that Eshonai will become a radiant (probably a willshaper) so the possibility is there for Parshendi or Part-Parshendi to become radiants. Based on Rock's mentality (and name), Stonewardens seem the apropriate order for them, but I think also the others are possible.

Granted. Now a breath-awakened hemalurgically infused stormlight-charged cactus is growing on your head. Also it talks all the time to you, but only in Svordic (or how do you call the language of Svorden?). I wish for the ability to survive during a high- or everstorm, without hiding me from it. -
Wouldn't be surprised, if the Highprincedom will be gain by duelling or something similar Alethi-like.
