Hm, yeah. I wouldn't be too surprised if Darkness really was the Mistborn and used it to save himself, but it is kind of obvious so could be a frame-up. Just seems kinda silly to use it as a frame imo, and occam's razor and all that... idk.

Hmm @Hemalurgic Headshot I think you may have misinterpreted what I said? I'm a little confused/unclear on how you guys use the term "mayor" here, but I meant "supatown" in a positive way -- it usually refers to players who are taking some charge of the discussion in such a pro-town way that rather than looking like they are faking it they are widely trusted for it. Trying to figure out if I still feel that way about Drake in light of recent discussion but that was what I meant at the time, not that I thought he was suspicious for openly trying to solve the game. I've been feeling slightly under the weather and my head hasn't really been totally in the game/I haven't really thoroughly read some of the recent posts and I'm not fully up-to-date on the in-depth analysis going on. I hope to get back to being more in touch with the discussion when I can but from where I stand I'm still comfortable with keeping my vote on Drought.

Drake is exuding confidence and game-solvey-ness. Those qualities make him look "supatown" (as some players from my home site might say) and I may be tempted to follow his lead. As of now though my vote is remaining on Drought because I'm still not liking his posts and his easy jump on Drake isn't helping his case.

Yeah I do agree with that in general (I didn't participate in either the inactive lynch or the counterwagon, and was pretty surprised when the inactive actually flipped bad, it's pretty lucky/rare for that to happen on D1 in my experience). Idk, I just found Droughtbringer's vote activity, and his discussion of you in particular, to sound fishy.

Skimming over D1 again I'm finding myself suspecting Droughtbringer a fair amount for his araris vote, attitude against lynching ornstein/inactives in general and his switch to asterion. Araris looks much more town than Drought imo in the current discussion.

OK, I'm a bit over my head since I don't know any of the players' meta or anything, but I've already flip-flopped on Steeldancer while reading his posts. Felt like he was kind of overreacting/defensive at first but he seems more town now. Placing a vote on Straw because his posts so far have all been a little... off. The vote for the host (weird but idk if that's a thing people do here for some reason or if that was as totally bizarre as it seemed to me, lol still getting the hang of how your games here work) and then stating a change of reads, then the list of reads just kind of sounded forced. (Btw let me know if I get anyone's gender wrong but it looks like most of you are male as far as I can tell? I'm a she though fwiw)

Hey, I'm sorta new here (have had the account for a while but not an active member, recently joined the Discord after finishing OB) and interested in trying an SE game for the first time. I'm active in a mafia forum community that's pretty esoteric in its setup/game styles/ways of doing things, so it's a little intimidating to join here since you guys seem to do things a bit differently, but at least I'm familiar with the general format of forum mafia. The one thing I'm a little concerned about is the RPing, I've glanced at a few other threads and it looks like in most games it's not required -- I'm a little intimidated by the prospect of RPing a character so is it required in this game specifically? On that note, would it be better for me to start with a smaller/more vanilla-roles game? I saw there's also a midrange game in signups but this one has the benefit of not starting until after Christmas Day (plus the role setup looks really cool and I like ability-heavy games, though vanillas are fun too)

Chapter 68 "Aim for the Sun" is probably my favorite stretch of dialogue because everything Hoid says is pure gold. Obviously the quote that's the chapter's namesake is storming hilarious. But also this tidbit -

I always went with Kaladin-Hufflepuff, Shallan-Ravenclaw, Dalinar-Gryffindor, Adolin-Slytherin. Maybe just because it's convenient and made for a neat fanart project (which I won't post because my drawing is incredibly terrible it's embarrassing) but I think it works pretty well.

10th anniversary alterations (Spoilers!)

I just finished reading Elantris for the first time, via the new edition on Kindle. Loved all the ars arcanum/deleted scenes material. As far as alterations go, while reading it I came across an old print edition and compared a little bit, and I noticed that "Seon" is capitalized in the old version but is just lowercase "seon" in the new version (at least on kindle). -
Yeah definitely more people should see Moribito, it's really quite beautiful and well-done. And Nichijou is great fun, I've watched every episode at least twice. Lots of things to love about it.
