Forum jokes aside it seems like Atium has come to mean what would in earthish be "Gold" or "Diamonds". The Legend of El Dorado would on Scadrial be a city made of Atium, not gold, gold is one of the basic allomantic Metals, it is pretty common. Gold is lame. Scadrians would laugh at out fascination with gold.

Anyway I once had a dream about a girl who lived in a forest village. She visited a witch doctor or something and learnt how to fly. She was then falling from a cliff, her flight could only make her stay in the air for a certain amount of time. As that time ran out the witch doctors giant bird (that looked a lot like a Talonflame...) saved her. Her voice over then went something like "I was always told that you would die if you flew at the speed of soul, turns out they lied." all while this really awesome rock track played in the backround. She then wondered what else they lied about. So I need to write a story the adventures of a girl who can fly who lives in a strange forest while solving this conspiracy. I have no idea what speed of soul has to do with anything though...

The allomantic genes are thinning out, just like how Vin was weaker than Elend, a Lerasium Mistborn, that and she pretty much killed all the Mistborn, making it so that the allomancy genes disappeared faster. (If those two had children and if Vin didnt kill like all the Mistborn it is possible that there would still be Mistborn) As for Ferrings, like Yata said the allomantic genes and the feruchemical genes are a terrible mix, because of that you end up with ferrings. Of course Harmony could do something about it, if he wanted to...

I can accept this head canon (I see what you did there) just because it is awesome. Head canon is an awesome combination of words. It conjures images of canons shooting heads, or heads functioning as canons, or heads functioning as canons shooting heads, or even heads functioning as canons shooting head canons into infinity when the entire battlefield is covered in head canons shooting more and more head canons until the head canons fill up the entire world as we all drown in head canons, but the head canons do not stop there, they continue to shoot until the infinite head canons have filled the infinite space of the universe and everything drowns in head canons.
