Ok, just finished Name of the wind. Holy storms that was a great book. Loved it. I will probably wait for a while until I pick up The wise mans fear though, partly because I dont feel like waiting five years for Day 3 and partly because I need something lighter to read after an epic like that.

Considering what I do know about your taste... I will give it a chance. And my fluffy cat is now King Fluffpuff.

They are pretty dark when you think about it though, I guess we are just desensitized to the darkness XD We stared so long into the darkness that we saw ourselves stare back, or something poetical like that. It stares at me, mocks me with the knowledge that if I start it i wont stop until Ive read them all... The Name of the Wind is amazing. Pat really needs to release that third book so I can read the second one without having to wait for too long...

Yeah. Ive read manga for the last 5 years and my tastes went way into the brutal and the bizarre so sure, Brandon has some very violent moments, but compared to what I am used to it is nothing. I have The Lies Of Locke Lamora waiting for me as well; I shall start as soon as I read the last couple chapters in The Name Of The Wind.

I didnt find The Well of Ascension that dark, then again... I... am... me. I have The Eye of the World in my book shelf, waiting to be read, someday, when I feel like it.
