I have never played Silent Hill, I really need to. I was a bit too young back when the PS2 was a thing though and I had a Gamecube... *Still only has Nintendo Consoles, some things never change...* I like the song. It is creeping, but beautiful. How about a momentary descent into madness? (Has to keep the creepy song theme going XD) Crimson Glory - Lost Reflection

I always imagine that sign being real, but obviously no muggles are going to try it. It is genius Same reason Harry Potter was written. Way easier to be a wizard in every day society when the muggles just thinks you are cosplaying. Thats a book series I should write. First book is urban fantasy with a masquerade in place, second book is a fan of said book finding out that it is all true.- 1963 replies

After taking a short walk and consulting Riem (My main character of a story I really need to write...) I have come up with the following ideas:
-
English is strange. On one hand it is kind of inherently cool. For example the swedish translations of Mistborn havent even bothered to translate the word Mistborn, because it would sound ridiculous in swedish. You cant just put two words together like that and end up with something that sounds cool like you can in english. On the other hand english is so storming stupid. The spelling, the grammar, he... it just makes little sense most of the time. But at least it is cool

Armed (ninja) waitresses sounds awesome, you should add those. Plot Twist: These strange, ridiculous crimes actually ends up serving the plan of the big bad. Or steal ideas with everyone being ok with it, like I stole Blood and Art from Lark...- 1963 replies

New Midnight Marinara, new episode of Jojo's Bizarre adventure and a new Osterix Chronicles chapter. Is this Springmas or something? Im getting a bit too heavy Final Empire vibes from this chapter though. You got almost all slots filled in, just with different names. I can see Asli getting Vins role of spreading misinformation, the assassins are planning to turn the nobels against each other, you even have the enigmatic secret weapon of the evil ruler in the Sentinels and Wraiths. And they are planning to gather an army It is not bad, it is just that Ive read this before. I hope that criticism doesnt come off as destructive. That said the parts you did come up with are interesting. Dire, stealing the cards (Where do Cards come from anyway?), the unknown assassin, the comedy. You can probably tell an interesting Fantasy Heist story, you just need to figure out how to make it less Mistborn and more Osterix Chronicles.

Ive just never been able to get into Sabaton, there is something missing for me. They are more fun with a couple friends or live, great live band. I guess I need to keep my persona up and greatly disturb everyone... Oxbow - Down a stair backwards

There are about 7 people who share my surname and every single one of them has problems with people adding an extra R in there. Even my dads biological father has that problem, and I have met him twice.

Supposedly, according to Pat, Ive only read it once myself XD Oh yeah you could try to solve the Kryptos Cipher! No one has fully solved that yet.

Phoenix Wright and Zelda for games... Oh, and Warioland 3! Then Yahtzee (You know, the Zero Punctuation guy) made some point and click games, Ive only played the first one called 5 Days a Stranger, but the sequels should be good too... and they are free, so no reason not to! House of Leaves is pretty cryptic, Im not sure if theres much of an answer if you actually decide to try to solve the book, because I didnt, but there may be. The Welcome to Night Vale podcast a pretty similar atmosphere to Gravity Falls, but once again Im not sure how much of a mental challenge it is. One of my favorite Youtubers Dead Palette has an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) going on, pretty cryptic, all his stories are pretty cryptic... just, listen to his videos with headphones on, he is not PG 13. tl;dr version Phoenix Wright Zelda Warioland 3 5 Days a Stranger House of Leaves Welcome To Night Vale House of Leaves Dead Palette Oh yeah if you havent read The Kingkiller Chronicle yet theres stuff to find for the one who looks.

Random Stuff VIII: The Admin Special
Zathoth replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
XD I could definitely do that. Well lets see, so far I have the characters Dave, who never keeps track of anything, Jim who keeps track of everything for him, Kate who is the one organizing the masqurade, Dave thinks she is a freak, not completely without reason as she does have a skull in her locker, Jim however thinks the weirdness is really hot. There, drama. And none of that will be resolved because something horrible is going to happen to them, I just havent figured out what yet. Yeah I basically just split my personality into three... Another fun fact is that I am writing this dialogue only so far, seems like I cant do dialogue and descriptions in the same story... Back to writing!- 1963 replies

Lets write a modernization of The Masque of the Red Death... except no... lets just draw inspiration from it and write a horror story about a masquerade, because that is original and everything...- 1963 replies

Any suggestions on who I should read next??
Zathoth replied to The_Lopen's topic in Entertainment Discussion
What have you read? A few suggestions then: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, The Black Prism by Brent Weeks, Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, Discworld by Terry Pratchett and Powder Mage by Brain McClellan. If you are in the mood for something bizarre and/or horrifying Perdido Street Station by China Mieville, House of Leaves by Mark Z, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami and some short story collections by Edgar Allan Poe, HP Lovecraft and Thomas Ligotti is always healthy, probably.
