We don't know how much time passed since Warbreaker, so we have no idea how old she is. She could be a centuries old returned by now. I admit it's unlikely, as she seems to remember her royal upbringing, but it's not impossible.

I don't really see her confiding anything in anyone. She's going to keep it all to herself, try not to think about it too much and maybe split off another persona that can lie to her friend's face.

Shallan admitting she killed a member of her family. Alas, poor Helaran.

It made me think of medieval depictions of lions, drawn by people who only had the animals described to them.

Others have already mentioned the religious angle, but let's put it all together: Jasnah, Harmony and Lightsong. An atheist, a god and an atheist god.

It just hit me. Urithiru is described as being above the storms, with mechanisms to lower the spheres for infusing and all that. It can't be crem deposits, unless it was somehow built at lower elevation and then risen up.

Wait, is it confirmed that radiants need to snap to form Nahel Bond? Either way, her mother was willing to kill her. Take a minute to let it sink in. One could come to a conclusion, that their family wasn't all sunshine and rainbows even before her mother learned about Shallan's abilities. Or maybe in Oathbringer we'll learn how she killed all of her grandparents too.
