Alright, since this AMA has been taken over by site design and policy questions, let's do something a little more fun. Favorite ice cream flavor? If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? Who is your favorite member of the moderating staff whose username rhymes with Weatherwriter?

Fret not, you basically have to know what you're looking for, and I'd rather not drag anyone's name up, you know. It's easier to notice if you're the subject, after all. Oh goodness, the Featherblades/tips. Okay, real talk: while I was very flattered to have a fan club/bodyguard unit/cult, I... am always a little bit uncomfortable with being celebrated like that, so I was kinda more than a little relieved when that thread died down. I feel like it makes me seem intimidating and/or famous when really I'm just a girl who writes stuff sometimes and cries about Renarin a lot. Like... I don't want to scare off new people I'm interacting with (and the staff sigil already does enough of that.) So yes, while I appreciate the offer, it's probably best to leave that thread well enough alone. I might end up taking it out of the sig (though I don't want those who "joined" the club to feel like I don't appreciate them!) I just, don't want to seem intimidating or anything, I guess. -

The AMA works. For those not following other threads, we're referencing this post: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/14511-having-a-bad-day-stop-here-for-a-good-rant/?p=287400 Here's my warnings: I'm a recent college graduate who's slinging her way through looking for jobs and internships. I have no idea what my schedule might look like for... well, the forseeable future. It's highly possible I might not be able to commit in a few months either. I am only vaguely a DW fan. I have seen the show, but as stated previously in this thread, I've got some major issues with stuff (Moffat, Moffat, and Moffat, mostly.) But, I might feel weird if the main audience were mostly DW fans and I'm sitting here like "yeah, not really my thing." I've only played one Sanderson Elimination game, and it was... okay. I liked the roleplaying aspects more than the game itself, and it took a lot of time because I got all character invested, so... that's kind of a significant commitment. Considering that there are already people on this site who are, well, not fond of me, let's say, in terms of my Renarin defenses, I just want to be sure that setting me up as a character intent on brainwashing people into agreeing with her doesn't come across in poor taste. I love playing villians and pretending I'm evil, but I don't want to make anyone feel bad or perhaps have those who think it's not really all that much of a joke. -

As said, let's not derail. It's an internship, and I probably won't say more than that, but if you have more questions, please PM me. -

I don't want to drag us too off topic here, but I must decline, probably. I'm off to China for a month in a few days and will have possibly limited internet options, so committing to a game is a no-go. And, if I'm not around to watch what's going on, it's probably best to leave me out of it. -

That's the thing, Quiv. I've already got a Renarin fansite. My thing with character discussion is I just want it to be respectful. I mean, just don't bash characters. I think it's cool that my blathering has managed to get some more people to appreciate my favorite character (though if there is a rampant downvoter going after people, that's pretty unfortunate). I certainly don't feel any need to take over the site, though! Fear me for the painful fanfics, not insidious plots to overhaul the system and start a new regime. -
Oh man! Other people who say suh-DAY-us! That one I've never been sure of but I'm to tired to change it now. I've also heard SAD-ee-us but it never felt right for me. I've complained lightly about Aons before, in that I feel like it would make sense for them to have cardinal vowels. I believe the E in Aonic is an "ee" like "see" which makes Sarene's name suh-REE-NEE and the Aonic nickname "Eenee." I still use cardinal though and, with cardinal vowels E is "eh" like the first vowel in "day." So Sarene for me is almost like suh-RAY-NAY and her nickname is "ay-nay."

Words of Radiance, Chapter 41. That, or the duel. -

I'm pretty proud of the fact that I finished Nano one year. Also, back when I was in Academic Decathlon, I had the number one speech in the entire state of Texas. That gold medal felt so good.Fandom-wise, the fanfic I am proudest of is... actually not Cosmere, dangit. (It's "Fade's Wager" if anyone's curious.) My proudest Cosmere fanfic is probably "Beneath the Bells of Kharbranth." Least proud? That's difficult. In terms of things people think are awesome that I did but I'm not all that proud of, there's this one post I made about Hufflepuffs on tumblr that took off but I'm just so done with it. I don't even like Harry Potter that much! Why is it so popular?? -

Yes, the more you get to know Joe, the more you might realize he tends to be like this with everyone he knows. He's occasionally been called the "niceness monster" to combat my regular level of monstrosity. -

I have always been fond of "fandom monster." Apt and to the point. -

Joooeeeeeee staaaaaaahp. I can't even with you. Frankly, Quiver, I'm rather offended by your implication that I am not ALREADY the embodiment of the dark side in fanfic-writing form. -

As someone who reads these books aloud to people a lot, I will confess that I always give Rock a Russian accent. Renarin is adorably handsome and I will FIGHT anyone who says otherwise. Even BRANDON. -

My alt version of Shallan who is kind to him from the start and sees his value and helps him become more comfortable while he helps her heal from all the things that happened to her and they're cute and supportive. Or Kaladin, tbh. Eh, rep is and has always been a really meaningless number anyway. It was fun to poke fun at peeps when I passed them but I've always been pretty shrug about the whole thing. I'm freaking awesome. Don't need no rep number to tell me that, holla. (Congrats on passing me tho!) -
*scrabbles for signal in the middle of the countryside like a dying woman crawling for water in the desert* If I don't... make it back... tell Shroom... he's a frikken KERJ.

Fun story... After beating the first two games, I uninstalled them to save space. I don't remember the levels at all. I can't remember what my level was for IB3 either, maybe like 17? I mostly just went straight through the story and then was done with it. I'm a storyline kind of girl. -
I really liked Sanderfan as well, but had a friend who had it bring up unfortunately unpleasant memories, so we swapped over to fanspren for her!

I... tend to be fond of them, even if I rather salaciously go about with my safehand uncovered. -
The tumblr fandom has pretty much settled on "fanspren" as how fans are called!

Vanalen is not canon and never will be, but you already know that I've written the AU fic, kerj. Get off my case. I do not have the power to mess with rep other than the one downvote or upvote per post that every single member of this site has. What do you think I have? Admin spikes??? I can almost see a question mark at the end of the loooong blur that is the end of your post there, but it's weird. I can't seem to make out what you wrote. It happens sometimes. My pure and innocent eyes often just protect me from horrifying untruths, lest I corrupt my lovely perfection. -

Preach it, friend! Also... as the person who has the renarinkholin URL on tumblr, I will say that I had a moment where I read your username and thought you were me. That was a bit surreal... Nice username though. C: -

I audibly gasped. You know, for someone who's supposedly "over" her Hiddles-phase, that one definitely got me. That said, I never quite pictured Hoid looking much like Tom, but now that I'm thinking about it, he might be able to play Hoid well. Then again, Tom almost feels a bit too suave to be Hoid? I never saw Hoid as much of a pretty boy, if that makes sense? They've both got that mischief down though... -

I've played all three games and read both novellas! I don't know that I "still" do Infinity Blade, since I haven't messed with it after finishing, but yeah it's a great game. Someday I want to type up an Isa appreciation post, both for the way Brandon handles her and the way that ChAIR did. -

Mmmhm. Brandon's really cool about pronunciations really being however you'd like to say them. That said, I knew when I started doing recordings that I wanted to learn to say things the closest way to "correct" that I could. And finding out from Peter that the way i had been pronouncing them was waaaaaaaaay different than mine. -

Haha, I wasn't gone THAT long. As you can see from the title flair over there beneath me, I'm still a mod. The spikes really only hurt when the admins use them to override my free will and turn me into their mind slave. I liked season 2! The series has its flaws, but it tends now to be problematic, which is appreciated. I'm entertained nonetheless, and that's what's important! I've become inordinately fond of Chloe Bennet (Skye) since choosing her as the faceclaim for Eliane, my Seeker in Elendel.
