  1. I vote for Adolin for the same reason. Syl would make sense in a popularity contest, but Adolin is much more interesting for a tournamen in my opinion.
  2. You might be interested in http://www.paxcecilia.com/blessed.html then, on of my absolute favorite albums of all times
  3. You know you're a sanderfan when one (of the many) friend to whom you advise to read The stormlight archives writes you in the middle of the night because he thinks he's spotted his first worldhopper in Mistborn
  4. I vote for Vasher too, firstly because I like the character and I really see him as THE master swordsman. Secondly because I am only in the beginning of Elantris and I have no idea of what Dilaf is capable of yet (and I don't like him at all at the moment ^^'')
  5. My vote goes to Vin, I have a feeling that she could beat up pretty much everyone if she really needed to.
  6. Well, I don't know what time it is now in eastern standard time, so I'll let you see if my vote counts (it was yesterday here when I lvoted last time) Vasher 4 x Dalinar 1X
  7. I know I am a Sanderfan when I order Alcatraz at my local bookstore just because I can't stand not understanding some jokes/references on this board ^^'
  8. I cheated at one crossroad because I could'nt make a choice. So I took both ways and ended up with "The mists of Avalon" (w(h)itch is quite accurate for a neo-pagan ) and ... ... "The way of Kings", what a surprise !
  9. I know I am a Sanderfan when I must re-read The Stormlight archives in between other books, just because I cannot find anything that is that good (and because I miss Dalinar too much, I confess )
  10. I don't know about a cult, but when I notice that I think of this thread as "Meme of radiance" instead of "Sanderson Memes", I think there's definitely something going on
  11. Thanks, I have a particular fondness for the sloth
  12. Too bad that we can't upvote twice, this one definitely worth it! Do you allow me to take it for my personnal gallery of quotes? I know that it would speak a LOT to my friends
  13. I second that Welcome on board, I hope ou will like it in here
  14. You know you're a Sanderfan when you can't help searching for Cosmere's clues in non-Sanderson books ^^'' (I am reading The wheel of time, let' say that this explains that)
  15. You know you're a sanderfan when the highlight of your day is checking Twitter to follow Sanderson's progress in the writing of the next book
  16. I took the quizz a second time and I got 75% Truthwatcher, 45% Ligthweaver (with the shared surge of Illumination) and 45% Elsecaller (with the shared surge of Transformation) Same here, maybe we can be each other's imaginary friend
  17. You know you're really a Sanderfan when, at last, you understand references like "type IV biochromatic entity"
  18. when a friend runs to you saying "thanks for advising me to read The way of Kings, I love it!" and it makes your day better
  19. Personally, I never met a basketball fan that tried to convert me to his favourite sport ... but I sure met DOZENS of people trying to force their religious beliefs on me! I am interested neither in basketball nor religion but I am perfectly ok that some people do, as long as they leave me out of it. Because nothing that is forced on you is good, especially something as personal as spirituality. And again, in a non-believer’s life, you constantly meet people that have the ambition of converting you and that quickly becomes very, very annoying. I feel very lucky that I grew up in a country with a secular school as I could never have endured a compulsory religion! And as for the commentaries about how non-believers are "misguided", I find that kind of thing highly condescending and offensive (the downvote is mine, by the way: it is the first time that I feel like downvoting something on this board and I am not happy about it). I understand that people who claim to convert others really believe they are doing the right thing, but all I hear from that kind of speech is “I am smarter/luckier/ more evolved than you and my beliefs are superior to you and yours, I know THE Truth and you know nothing, Jon Snow”. Which, I admit, really, really bugs me I am strongly in favour of the freedom of thoughts and I am sincerely happy for those who found their way with religion. I never attacked or tried to dissuade anybody in their faith because it is none of my business and I dare expect the same courtesy from others
  20. I don't know, but you might be right: I got 69% Truthwatcher too (along with 53% Elsecaller and 32% Lightweaver)
  21. Same problem here, and although I studied different religions very attentively, it is still a concept that passes way above my head
  22. When you watch a documentary on the Alska and the speaker talks about "the worst storm ever seen in Alaska", you can't help but thinking "wait 'til you get to Roshar"
