  1. Yeah I saw Alvs post... I also know he's a troll. But yeah I know I shouldn't assume anything but for the moment I am. Well, if someone else dies and theres a cat and mouse involved again then thats evidence. I had also asked Alv about the signature last night (whether it was in the write up) and he said that it was meant to be in the write up, but he just hadn't done that yet. So I took that to imply that there was going to be an sk signature. Sure, I could be wrong and there is no sk, and in that case can our vigilante pm me during the next night cycle?edit: fixing bad grammar
  2. So. Since we appear to have evidence of a sk as that is the only kill role that operates in the day, i’ve been doing a bit of thinking. Even if we do manage to kill off all the eliminators, we still have to deal with any sk’s before we are able to win. Now i’m thinking the sk(s) is probably someone who has tried to only help the loyal team (or perhaps was a sk as a result of a recently ended bloodtie) as the first sk kill happens to target an eliminator. Though I guess it still makes sense for the sk to want the eliminators out of the way. The sk can't win with the eliminators alive, and with the eliminator kill getting more likely to accidently hit them, it’s probably become a necessity for the sk to try limit the kill roles out there. At this point I would be really interested to know who actually has been cleared. We are down to 10 players now. 1 or 2 may be eliminators and at least 1 is a sk. so that there are probably 2-3 players currently in the way of the village winning. So i’ve been looking back through the players to see who i think would be sitting in the perfect position if they were the sk. I had been discussing this with Maill last night and Phattemer was a suspect for various reasons to the point that Phatt was Maill’s intended target for his Raygun if he had enough time to finish it (at least that's what he told me). He also agreed it was likely that either Twei and/or Mark IV could be an eliminator (Later i’ll do some reasearch, quote some posts, and come up with a hypothesis on who I believe is more suspicious). I personally don’t think that Phattemer is an eliminator (mainly due to his intense tunnelling on Kipper), but I do think it is much more likely that he could be the sk. I'll do more player analysis later as term started (well, orientation has anyway) so I have less time atm. I guess the question is, who do we want to deal with first? There are potentially more eliminators, and they would have more info spread amongst them so could be more of a threat in that aspect, but the sk has been lying low the entire game, blending in and making us forget their existence. The sk could be potentially harder to find as I believe that they are someone we probably trust to some degree. Because if they aren’t an eliminator then they are on our side, right? Yeah not necessarily. From my experience in mafia games, the sk can actually be a bigger threat than the mafia. Especially a sk that lies low. Because that makes them a lot harder to detect or catch in the act. And if you interrogate them they often just claim regular or a protective role. But that's just my personal experience. I personally view the sk as a larger threat. And the sk is also a big threat to the eliminators. We’ve already seen one eliminator being killed via sk (assuming it was the sk) and who’s to say the sk won’t kill them all? I guess the main thing with the sk, is I have seen the scenario so many times, when the village kills off all the mafia, but then everyone left over isn’t suspicious at all. Everyone still alive seems trustworthy. And then the village falls apart because the sk subtly tears them apart. Village kills the most useful players, and then sk kills whoever they were most suspicious of, and then everyone ends up confused and then soon the village is completely dead. Just saying, I’m extra paranoid of the sk role than any other. In classic mafia games, i’ve played many many games as the sk, and trust me, it sometimes can be disturbingly easy to win as it. Of course, if you slip up once, it’s game over for you. No one’s going to defend you. But if you can stay hidden (like our resident sk is) then you have a very high chance of winning… What does everyone else think? tl/dr: I am worried about the sk and am very paranoid. And I want people's opinions on who they think is the bigger threat: sk or traitors
  3. For lopen- gotta conclude blaize and finns rp and all that you know? Just a short one but eh. im in a lunch break. Blaize was surprised to hear of the death of Finn, but not so much about him being a traitor. Blaize hadn't been too sure of finn for a while now, and had only hung around him for the amusing conversations and of course, the donuts. THE DONUTS. In a mild panic, Blaize quickly headed to the hidden stash. He cursed when got there. They were gone. All of them. In frustration he kicked the box that had housed the delightful food. Of course Finn would have told his fellow traitors about the stash. It explained the various missing doughnuts as well. He stormed back to the kitchen with resolve in his heart. He going to find the donut thieves and Hunt. Them. Down. (In my pm with lopen we rp’ed a lot. ‘Kay?)
  4. YES!! I will never doubt my gut again! Lopen dying.... could be the sk? the sk can kill during the day im pretty sure. edit: vote shenanigans- phattemers vote not counting we were aware of. but something happened with Maills. prob wasn't kyne, but idk. edit 2: also considering we now know lopens alignment, would people say wecould probably disregard his note about elbereth?
  5. For me personally it's a gut paranoia thing that has been bugging me for a while now so I would like some peace of mind in that aspect. Normally, I probably wouldn't vote cause I generally just don't vote, but I don't want a tied vote, and I trust Maill more than you for various reasons (mainly I keep noticing that he has similar opinions/suspicions as me and that makes me more inclined to trust him. Unless everyone decides that we are going to just lynch Elbereth and hope the note speaks truthfully, I probably won't change my vote. edit: I guess another reason I'm suspicious of you, as I have some theories that would implicate some other players ifyou turn out to be an eliminator, so I want to test my theory. Also If you turn out good then tthat validates other theories I have. either way, finding your alignment will make me more certain about some other players.
  6. You should probably be retracting off Kynedath in that case. You already retracted off Lopen to put a vote on Kyne. I'll take you off my tally in advance anyhow. But yeah... And taking a look at the tally now, I'm going to throw my vote in to remove the tie. Kynedath. If i'm wrong, I am so sorry. But even though I have very little reasoning, I trust Mailliw more than I do you... Current vote tally: Mark IV (1): Stink[1] Stink (0): phattemer[1] Mark IV[1] Lopen (0): Phattemer[2] Mailliw (2): Twei[1], Kynedath[1] Kynedath (2): Mailliw[1] Phattemer [3] Deathclutch[1], Burnt spaghetti[1] Elbereth (1): Lopen[1] Kynedath (3): Mailliw, Phattemer, Deathclutch, Burnt spaghetti Mailliw (2): Twei, Kynedath Mark IV (1): Stink Elbereth (1): Lopen
  7. Right, so I know I’ve barely posted this game. And when I’ve told anyone who i’m a bit suspicious of, I rarely give reasons. So here are some of my thoughts on some of the players. This may or may not make any coherent sense. Kynedath: Has defended Mark IV multiple times this game. Was one of the players who originally tried warding Meta off Mark. And now is defending Mark from Stink. Last cycle was voted on by Maill, Deathclutch and Twei. For some reason i’m suspicious of Kyne. Hm. Let me reread the game for a bit to find out why. You know what? I have no idea why! I’m guessing this was mainly a gut suspicion. *shrugs*. Sorry if this is frustrating for you Kyne, having people suspicious of you with no given reason. But I’m sure I had a reason… Darn… I… have no idea. If I remember why, i’ll do another post to explain myself. But it’s probably to do with how I was quite suspicious of Mark a few cycles back, and you kept defending him. So I think by that reasoning, you seemed to be an eliminator defending a fellow eliminator. Atm I don’t know. But I’m sorry for the lack of reasoning, but I promised to myself that I would listen to my gut this game. And my gut apparently thinks you are a traitor... Elbereth: Also tried to defend Mark from Meta. other than that idk. After just doing a bunch of research on kyne I can’t be bothered… but I probably should… *sighs* fine. Ok. I’m reading Elbereths posts. Aaaand I can’t be bothered analysing them. Oh, but with the note thing. I think I personally want to hear Elbereths side of things before voting. Because there is either hidden roles or El is a compulsive liar or something. Idk. Lopen: As much as I might come across as trusting you in pm’s, I don’t really. You’ve been sitting around 60-65% for the last few cycles (To those who don’t know about my percentages I’ll explain at the end of the post). There's a few reasons for this: you have been a lot quieter than you have normally been when you are loyal (which we discussed in pm’s and your response semi satisfied me, but not enough to remove my suspicion). And there have been some instances in pm’s where Kipper has said something to me or to others, which really made me think that you had been talking to him very openly. I could be wrong. I could be paranoid and reading into things that aren’t there, but still... Phattemer: Argued with Kipper a lot. But then turned out to be right, cause kipper was a traitor. So in my books that puts phattemer as probably not a traitor too. But um… I know the latin in your post wasn’t directed at me but… given its meaning, you can’t blame me for being curious... Mailliw: When Kipper was up for the lynch, Maill attempts to keep discussion going by talking about the notes. I saw this as more as Maill not wanting the conversation to go quiet because people may have decided that ‘Kippers going to be lynched, so now we don’t have to talk anymore’. That's my opinion on the matter. Also keeps voting for Kynedath, but doesn’t give the most detailed of reasons. The first being: Which sure, it’s true, but that's not that detailed. But then: Curious as to why you decided to trust him… But concerning Ada, you had reasons you kept quiet about. I’m guessing you also have reasons as to why you aren’t giving much reasons for your suspicions on Kyne. Though… I do find it interesting to observe how people reacted to your undetailed reasons. Twei: Twei drew the attention away from Lopen, to Maill. Also somewhat defends Kyne from Maill last cycle (although a while back, Twei was suspicious of Kyne). Which I find interesting, because honestly, I’m a bit suspicious of Kyne and Lopen. So I find it interesting that Twei seems to be defending both of them… Mark IV: ….Ok I tire of this ‘analysis’ thing. I said a few things to you in a pm. Be satisfied with that. My percentages. Well, that's how I keep track of how much I trust/distrust a player. So the rating is a mixture of evidence and instinct, but I haven’t kept track of the reasons. So I tried to remember them, and so then this post happened. How they work is each player is given a percentage: 0 = good <50 =sorta trust 50=neutral >50=don’t really trust 100=bad. Though, I’ve noticed that I don’t like going below 30% or above 70%. But that's mainly cause I haven’t spent enough time thinking to make proper solid reasons or anything i think. Idk. I save my thinking until I’m tired and make little sense to anyone. My list: SO. I have no idea if anything in that wall of text I just typed up is useful in any way. But i’m in a good mood for coffee and a nap. You may have noticed, but i didn’t particularly feel like doing much thinking. I do my thinky babble when i’m really tired/ overtired. I’m not really tired at all. I just want my coffee….. or hot chocolate… that sounds good too… hm. Mocha..... I should have really written this when I was in the right mood to analyse. *shrugs* I posted something bigger than 3 sentences. Be happy. ‘Kay? I might vote later on. And chances are it will be a very short post with no reasoning. Or i’ll mega babble. I do that sometimes. In pm’s mainly tho… …. I should really retype half of this post. Or at least finish it. pffft. Nope. If you really want me to babble more about something, tell me and I might get back to you. But yea sorry, the last few people I talked about I didn't say much about cause I got bored and didn't feel like analysing any more. If anyone wants my meaningless opinion on them, send me a pm and i might tired babble you. Or not. I don;t know. Seriously was this post any use? I think this was a rather meaningless post. So sorry for wasting your time if you agree. I might attempt a more meaningful post later (you are allowed to agree with me) See this is why i often don't vote... my reasons either make no sense, or I have none. Or when i have a good enough reason, I forget. Not voting is often simpler. I'm going to go make me a coffee. Good day. Ps: Also, Lopen? In that last pm, Finn made me laugh. He's a very amusing character
  8. I didn't mention the paranoia initially because that thought hadn't crossed my mind yet. I promise that I was truthful about whether or not I had items. I was curious about who else was doing info collecting as I hadn't heard anything from anyone else yet. I get that my interest in the info collecting may seem peculiar for me, as I've never shown interest before, but I wanted to try something different this game. And I know that I'm not likely to have tonnes of time to post this game (though I always favour pms so I always try to be more active there) so I wanted to try and not be the silent and useless villager I normally am. Is it wrong to want to be helpful? "not necessarily but it seems like an eliminator sort of thing to do" sure. I don't deny that. But for once I wanted to not play as safe as I normally do. whoa wait what?? I expressed some suspicious to one player but that was before you even opened the pm. I did mention to another player about you asking questions, but I never said I was suspicious because of them being aggressive. Sure, I voiced to them the same paranoia as I did to you, but you definitely weren't aggressive. As said earlier, prioritise my pms except that does mean spend my there instead of working on a post (thanks for giving me motivation to post btw. I planned on posting today anyway but this makes it more Interesting). Ok… well when I discussing my suspicions in pm to Lopen, your name did come up but that was purely gut. I had one mild reason but it was pretty empty. I like to keep regularly updated suspicion percentage on each player and the highest was you (60%. 50% Is neutral) but it was nothing confrontation worthy. But concerning today's discussion…. I keep changing my mind about who I think is lying. Initially I believed kipper about Meta but then I started wondering if this was some traitor ploy or something. My mind is still fluctuating between trusting and suspicion so I'm not to sure. I want believe Kipper is truthful and Meta is a traitor, but at the same time I want meta be double checked first. I really want to trust both. But honestly, I'm of a similar opinion to Mail- I think I mistrust kipper a bit more. but idk. something weird happened, and I think I would rather double check the scan before lynching either of them. And then my brains coming up with random ideas like kipper and meta prob have bloodtie and so kipper just wants to be sk. I highly doubt this, but that's what my brain is up to atm. so idk... edit: fixing quotes
  9. meep.... accidentally broke the banner links. fixed the original post but here's the banner again anyway for those who use it
  10. I'm keen to rp. I guess my main questions would be about the setting; is there a general storyline, what situations is going on, if there are any joinable sides (good vs evil) or if it is just go with the flow. As for my character I'll likely just reuse one of my older ones from the list I sent you earlier.
  11. Hrmph. Due to discovering ill be away for about 8 days (20th -28th), I don't know how active I'll be this game. I imagine it will be about the same as MR10, where I posted generally once per cycle. Though I tried to make sure my posts were long. So idk how this is going to work for me but I'm going to try make sure it does. Just a heads up.
  12. Bah dang it all. For those who don't know I have TERRIBLE passive perception, so I somehow missed the memo that I'm going away for about 8 days (20 jan to the 28th jan I think).... I technically could still log on, but I doubt I would be active enough to be useful.... Which is annoying, cause I really wanted to play this game. I think I'll be sort of able to manage the LG but the Qf isn't going to work that well for me. Darn Sorry. I thought I was only going to be away for about 4 days and that would have been manageable I thought but... 8? That complicates things. Sorry for the last minute change but yeah, I'm going to have to back out of this game. Sorry Phatt. I'll sign up for the spectator doc though.
  13. Happy New year folks! Hmm…. So was thinking…. We are pretty sure that there.are two diagramist KR right? An edgedancer and an elsecaller? Now, balance wise, I think it would be safe to assume that the diagramist KR are evenly distributed between ghostbloods and sons of honour as if one side had more diagramist KR then it makes it harder for that side to Quinn as more of their KR have to die first. So this would mean one of two scenarios: 1: a diagramist ghostblood elsecaller and SoH edgedancer Or 2:a diagmaist SoH elsecaller and ghostblood edgedancer If it is scenario 1, then that would mean that Alvron and Elkanah are diagramists, as going off lopens list, Alv was the GB elsecaller and elk the soh edgedancer (This is ignoring the fact that there could potentially be two SoH edgedancers due to SoH not having the bondSmith.) So do we know if Alvron is good or not? Because I think alv being good potentially clears Elk. unless there is another gb elsecaller.. Either way think that alv and elk are the same alignment. Thoughts?
  14. Heh Alright then. Lopen is an extremely untrustworthy dude. Chances are that if he isn't a diagramist then someone he is In close contact with probably is Nah don't worry I’m joking. Lopen: Does player analysis from time to time, also discusses roles and their uses sometimes (gives recommended instructions). Seems to favor the faction game (I frown at you). Usually gives reasonable reasons for his votes. Keeps saying Burnt must be evil when she is totally not . Is useful when it comes to discussion and his reasoning generally makes sense. My gut feeling is that he is on the village side. Well, personally, I think the diagramist team is inactive, with Adavantos being the only active one. This would mean he is the only one putting in orders, but as he is a cook and can only put in one action he does his cook kill and just hopes that one day a team mate will turn up to put in the diagramist kill. Or he’s the last one left... I agree with you there. Adavantos is only going to get us confused, even if he is truthful, we know he might not be so I have been taking his info with a few grains of salt. I'm filing it away for future use, but not labelling it as confirmed fact. I also don't know why we are keeping him around.
  15. If anyone is interested, here is a list showing who I do/don't trust out of the current living players. I know I haven't given reasons so sorry. some is based off logic, others are purely gut. And some I have no clue. the color shows an approximation of how I view them. Order doesn't really mean much. and take the colour with a grain of salt. even though two players may be on the same color, doesn't have to mean I trust them the same amount. maybe I should add percentages or something.... no. not enough time and I want sleep. So. In short, I don't think it's a good idea to let a known diagramist live. it's only going to result with more village deaths. sure we get to know some dead folks alignment, but I would rather focus on keeping useful villagers alive then find out which useful villagers we've lost, so Adavantos you have my vote. edit:formatting
