The flute takes more air to play than the tuba, or any other band instrument in fact. The air is blown over the instrument rather than directly inside, and over 60% of the air is lost because of this. Also, on any woodwind instrument, the sound comes from out the keys rather than the end, so you can't mute them by sticking something inside the bell/foot.

All right, thank you. I don't know. Because we share a lot of interests and I really enjoy being with her but. Its just draining sometimes and I know that isn't healthy for me, or her for that matter.

I don't know. I mean. Its always subtle to the point where I don't realize it until its too late and I don't think even she realizes it. She also really seems to love comparing me to others and it really puts me down. Like we have a lot of artists in our friend group and I never compare myself to them. Because they're my friends and I've stopped comparing myself to other artists a long time ago because of how I put myself down a few years ago. But she reveres one of my friends for their art (it is fantastic, though!) to the point where she compares me to them. Like "I think her canines are better than yours." That's your opinion and its really rude to say that to my face, sorry? I've never compared. I don't care. Their art is great; why would I still compare mine? Its to the point where she puts herself down over it and that isn't healthy. But when I tell her not to do that- that her art is great too- she puts me off. I honestly don't think I've gotten a compliment from her once, but I hear her compliment others to the point that she will throw herself down. At some point about six months ago we both started some SA fanart. I finished mine first and she finished her's a week later. Her description? "Lark finished her's before mine even though I started mine first." And she also started comparing the hours we spent. It was never a contest to me. I had my fanart idea for a long time and I decided to do it. It wasn't a race. We've been doing some Cosmere Flight Rising characters. Everytime I make a new one she feels the urge to point out the flaws despite the fact that its my vision. As in "that's an ok vin dragon." Sorry but to me that's a great vin dragon because that's how I imagined vin would be as a Flight Rising dragon! This also extends to life stories.

Rest Calm by Nightwish for Vin and Kelsier. And while we're at it Last Ride of the Day (by Nightwish) fits the entire Hero of Ages. Like I could probably listen to the instrumental and read the book and it would fit like nearly every moment.
