YOOO I'm not sure how this happened but I somehow managed to make an A in the class I thought I bombed the final of. idk what my ACTUAL grade was, but I don't care, because it's an A!

Noo why is it that the only day off I have it's gonna rain in the afternoon. I wanted to go see the birds, but didn't want to get up early because I'm lazy.

Hiya! I love discord! It's basically Skype, but it actually works. I love how it works, and its super easy to use. It's a chat app, not a forum like Reddit or this site. Best for quick communication and chatting, not really for typing multi-paragraph posts like the Shard is. You basically join servers (like the Shard one) and that server has channels where you can chat. It also has a voice chat, and webcam as well for you to stream your screen with friends or video chat. It's more used for gaming, honestly. I'm not on the Shard discord (i'm in too many servers and wouldn't chat much in a huge server like the Shard's is), but I bet it is lovely.

I just have to set it up, lol. I want it to look nice if it's going to be a gallery, but I don't have too much time on my hands.

Digital is tough! It takes a while to orient yourself with the tablet, not to mention learning the programs. It also really requires the right tools, though you can learn with any program (obviously it'll be harder in paint than photoshop, but it's do-able!) I started in 2010 ish with an old Bamboo Fun tablet and a computer running Windows 7 and Photoshop Elements 5. Right now I use a Surface Pro with Photoshop CC and Paint Tool SAI.

Oh boy. Final is today. Oh boy.

Birds have a muscle attached to every feather of their body. They can fluff their feathers to trap in heat or let cool air flow through. Owls are not the only birds that can turn their heads almost all the way around. In fact, most, if not all, raptors can. Owls do not have muscles in their eyes. Their eyes are so big in their skull that there's no room for muscle, not to mention they are also shaped more like cones, not spheres. So they cannot move their pupils, and have to turn their heads to see. If your eyes were the size of an owl's, they'd be the size of a softball in your skull. Owls also do not have symmetrical ears. They have one higher than the other. This gives them a great range of hearing; they can hear both side to side, and up and down and pinpoint exactly where the sound comes from. Barn owls have the best hearing out of any owl and can hear a human heartbeat from ten feet away. They can also hunt in total darkness.

Ha! Used to be like that. But I also like this sweet 4.0 gpa. Harmony, some kids just set off firecrackers at the pool. I'm. Why.

At this point I'll do anything. I have an almost perfect 100 right now. This final is worth 40% of my grade. If I mess it up and it drops my grade to a B I will revolt.

I can also just go the straight up bribe method and slip a couple of $20s in the test when I turn it in...

Okay, that makes sense! So if it is the marginal propensity to consume, how should I find that equation? I'm gonna go back and see if I can't find a problem like this in previous powerpoints (couldn't find one in the homework). edit: Nope, none like it. There were problems that were the same type, (ie: either savings or consumption) but not both in one problem/going between the two. edit 2: wait I got it now!

Haha, I don't enjoy the mammals as much as the birds. A lot of the mammals we get at the wildlife center are rabies vector, so I can't even work with them unless I have the rabies vaccine. Plus the mammals are messier. Sealife is super cool though! Have you looked into the Alaska Sealife Center? They do internships there, and the place itself is amazing.

I had things mixed around (I was trying to use the demand function, not supply) so I'm assuming, when the problem says "consumer's surplus" you use the demand function as f(x), and when it says "producer's surplus" you use the supply function? I might have also been completely wayy off originally, too. One last question. Then hopefully this madness will be over, as the test is tomorrow. I don't really know where to begin. I'm assuming I take the integral of the equation above, then plug the income y (0) and and the consumption S (7.8 billion) back into the found equation and solve for C? This one is from a powerpoint, not the online homework, so I have no idea if I'm on the right track here because I can't check my answers but... I thought the resulting equation would be: 0.2y - 0.1e^-2y + C = S An online calculator I found is telling me the -.1 is actually a +.05, the rest is fine. Does the .05 come from dividing the -.1 by the -2 coefficient in front of the y? So if it was actually, say -3y, I'd get .1/3e^-3y? If that makes sense. Am I on the right track here?

Nice! I switched from animal science actually. I found that AS would deal with domestic/livestock more, and I wanted to work with exotic and wildlife.

Hi guys! I returned a few days ago but decided to type one of these up because it seems like the community has changed a lot since I was last here! I was originally on the Shard in 2015. I used to go by LarkoftheRiver. Anyway. I'm Sarah -- you can call me that, Kestrel, or Kes. I will also respond to Lark, River, or Riv. Really it doesn't matter too much. I'm a junior in college, and I'm majoring in Natural Resource Management with a concentration on wildlife biology. I'm outside a lot; I'm a licensed falconer in addition to having volunteered at four rehab and education centers for wildlife. I've worked around most native Texas birds of prey, and am slowly starting to work around mammals. In addition to that I am also a member of my college's polo club. Which is basically soccer on a horse. It's fun! In my freetime I'm also a freelance artist, and an active member of several art roleplaying groups on deviantart. I sometimes animate as well, and have had work featured in film festivals around the United States. I mostly focus on animals. For Sanderson related stuff: my favorite book is Mistborn (specifically AoL era), and my overall fav character is Kelsier. I've read most of the released Cosmere novels (still need to finish Oathbringer). To my knowledge at least. When I got my falconry permit, I fell out of reading for two years, so I'm sure some other Cosmere stuff was released in that time. I still need to read the short stories as well. In any case, I look forward to getting back in this community and getting to know you guys better!
