Fair enough

ah I see, that makes sense. It isn't like Megan could have been the only one, after all. Heck Conflux is implied to have faced it, in hindsight.

No we don't want him confused, we want his death to dawn on him in exquisite clarity also, on another, very slow note, why is Voidgaze not evil? Every good Epic struggles with the corruption in one way or another, but Voidgaze seem completely fine, and has since the beginning. Is there a reason for that? Just curious

On the topic of technology, there also seems to be a distinction between tech that needs a motivator and is basically a copy of the Epic's powers, and tech made from studying Epics. David mentioned that lots of tech advances were made in the first year of Epics, seemingly from capturing and studying them. Gravatonics was one of these i think.

Must have missed that sorry

Hey Quiver, I'm a bit confused by your post. The post implies that Sebtry and Foresight are the same person, or did i miss something?

The overseer screamed. Iconoclast simply smiled as he dragged the struggling, uniformed figure out from among the plants where he had been hiding, and roughly threw him to the ground. "No no no!" The overseer raised a handgun, firing wildly at the Epic from his prone position. Despite his panicked state, many of the bullets hit, knocking Iconoclast back. The overseer fired again and again. Click. Out of ammo. The bullets were pushed out of Iconoclast's body by his healing, and they fell into the mud with soft squelches. Iconoclast simply righted himself, and leant toward the overseer with an outstretched talon. "No please-" The overseer's cries were muffled as the feral Epic's hand covered his face, and they stopped altogether in a second. By the fifth second, the overseer was shaking with rage, and he sprang to his feet as Iconoclast released him. A new ghoul ran off to join the others in the fields, hunting down the workers that had fled. It had gotten a lot quieter in the last ten minutes. Now there was barely a scream echoing from far away. People could run far in ten minutes. Unfortunately for them, both Iconoclast and ghouls could run faster. "I think my work here is done." The Epic muttered. "Time to head back into town." With that, he jogged over to a dead overseer, removing their uniform and changing into it. It had some bloodstains but that was easy enough to explain away. The uniform didn't quite fit, but a few subtle changes to his physique accommodated that easily. He hopped into the nearest van, and started it up. The engine chugged to life with a growl. It had been a while since he had driven anything like this, cars being hard to come by these days, but like riding a bike, you never forgot how to drive. So he reversed, ignoring the soft bumps that he was sure were bodies, and drove away from the fields and back into Corvallis.

I'm unsure about the stacking knowledge and memories of vanillas, and killing them when she resurrects.

red cars within 25 feet are definitely easier to avoid. Its up to you.

I just had the coolest light-bulb moment reading the last Rainmaker post: Broadcast is making hourly broadcasts from his station right? Maybe one day Iconoclast can pay him a visit during one of these and co-opt the station for his own message?

Gunsmoke reviled in his dominance. Thick, black smoke rolled in all directions, and he swum through it like a shark through the sea. No-one was around anymore. Most had fled. The unlucky ones had been shot, and were now nothing but smoke. The unluckiest ones had gotten away too slowly, and had choked to death in his smoke- their bodies littered the streets, eyes bulging and mouths agape. Gunsmoke solidified in front of a building- some vanilla share house- and shot the door into pieces. Splinters flew, turning into black smoke as they scattered. His smoke flowed inside, and so did he. The vanillas were hiding in the basement- easy to find, an obvious hiding place. He even recognized some of them as bullets turned their terrified faces into mist. This is how he would do it, he decided. Kill enough vanillas, and Corvallis would collapse. The Queens could not hurt him, could not touch him. He broke into another house- a share house again- and executed every human he found. No-one could touch him, or stop him. He would continue until Rainmaker surrendered control of Corvallis to him, and the Queens all swore their allegiance to him. Yes. He thought to himself, as he executed another house full of servants. They won't laugh when I tear their city down around them! Outside, he heard something- a car pulling up. Gunsmoke smiled, and left the house, seeing what he knew would be Rainmaker's vehicle further down the road. "Rainmaker!" He yelled. "Come out and face me, coward! Your precious humans are nothing but dust before me!" He pointed his gun at her car and let off a few warning shots. "YOU are nothing but dust before me! Surrender or I will kill them all!"

What I find most interesting about SH's weakness is that it basically eliminates the chance that any Epic could kill him at all. being naturally fearful (despite their rhetoric and arrogance), no Epic would ever not be afraid of SH. So no Epic could ever kill him, unless they did what David did and tricked him into attacking himself. And unless someone had literally no idea who he was or what he could do, no-one could ever kill him, bar himself. It is about the best weakness to have, really. SH lucked out. On a similar note I want to know more about Ides Hatred. Sounds like an interesting fellow. His name basically makes no sense but he gave SH enough of a fight to destroy a city block before being killed (or driven off?)
-
One issue I have though with you being in Corvallis with that weakness, is that Corvallis has cars quite commonly. We haven't exactly established HOW common they are for people, but they exist and are relatively common for Epics, and government and law enforcement figures and such. So her weakness would be triggered pretty commonly I would think.
-
So if you want to mostly fight with her in arena matches, go to Salem. If you want to do a bit more role playing, with less fighting (but still some) and more interaction between people, go to Corvallis.
-
Do red cars/cars have to be coming directly towards her, or just closer in general?
-
That sounds quite interesting Mashadar. For names, how about.... Geltouch? Gelliton? thinking of a name that fits is actually quite hard
-
Welcome! if you have a character in mind, just post some info about them, and we will help refine them and work out where they best fit.

Maybe only her own ink? Like she has to empower it or something? What if she can create the ink herself or something?

Why did Prof went through the Rending after saving the city?
Blackhoof replied to kroen's topic in The Reckoners
I doubt it has to do with Tia specifically. A weakness like that is too specific. Of Tia dies, he either loses his powers completely or loses his one weakness, and neither of those outcomes seems likely. -

The horrifying thing about Altermind's rending to me is that he could create an illusion of normality for everyone while he killed them all. One by one people are stabbed to death, barely even realizing it is happening, everyone around them oblivious until it is their turn O.O damnation
