  1. I am hoping he acts like it doesn't even know her (Laral) then right before he leaves says with amusement "congrats or your marriage"
  2. Doubtful, seems to me the Skybreakers could care less about normal criminals. I think they only go after surgebinders. and as far as the Szeth vendetta everyone thinks Szeth is dead.
  3. A few thoughts... I have been reading this post and it is very interesting. I too am a big Renarin fan so ill start with him. I am not sure if any of you realize what a huge role Renarin should have in future books. A couple of questions for you to think about... What is the biggest problem the new order of Knights Radiant have at the current moment? (besides the worlds parshmen turning into voidbringers).....Answer: The biggest problem they have is lack of information. As a six year combat veteran I tend to think of things tacticly first, the first rule of war being know your enemy. Who can provide that information? its pretty simple when you think about it. Renarin! Jasnah would be a big help but everyone thinks she is dead and she is in the middle of BFE and is not in a position to help.. One of the Secret societies could help with intell. however; I do not see them helping anyone but themselves, it seems to me the meddlers, as I like to call them, are one of the worlds biggest dangers as they seem to kill anyone who learns too much about what is happening. The Heralds could help however; they are Oathbreakers and are broken and unreliable. Wit could help but like the other meddlers he has his own agenda and probably wants to keep information about the greater cosmere to himself. From a Strategy standpoint Renarin is the single most important character in the series. The tactical advantage of knowing when and where the enemy will strike, before they do is not to be underestimated. It is my believe that Renarin will advise Dalinar in terms of armies, where to send soldiers providing the good side with information about future events so that the armies might be in the right place at the right time. This will become especially helpful once they figure out how to get the other Oathgates working. He will do it in a way so he wont expose himself as a seer/prophet like he did with the scratches on the floor and walls. Or he might confide in Dalinar about what he can do now that he is a Radiant himself. Now for a few thoughts on Adolin It is my believe that Adolin is on his way to being broken I am sorry to say. I like him a lot but the story seems to be going that way. I believe one of the Dalinars first acts as the head of the new order of Radiants will be to renounce his title of Highprince of Kholinar the reason being it will help legitimize the New Order with other nations. Adolin will take over as Highprince before they find out that he murdered Sadeas, Dalinar will not be able to protect him once they figure out who did it. I believe he will be "exiled and striped of his shards" along with a few helpful Squire bridgemen with secret orders to help stabilize their homeland. The other highprinces will see this as a punishment enough. As for talk of the Honorblade the best choice will be for Dalinar to keep it for himself or at least until the Herald Jezerin shows up demanding it back. Remember Dalinar is a Shardless Radiant.
  4. I think the best fit for Jasnah is Sigzil. He is an unassuming kind of character who probably wouldnt mind following the lead of a woman. unlike most other men. Very well educated and way smarter than the other male characters in either book even kaladin. And if its not sigzil then my second pick would be Kaladin and her.
  5. Sorry but doesnt make sense at all that Honor forced Her into it. best explaination is she and honor came up with the plan togather.
  6. I think that the truthwatchers will be able to create visions of true events similar to what Dalinar has. I also believe that It will be Renarin who uncovers the truth of who murdered Sadeas. It is also apparent that truthwatchers have some visions of future events as well. kinda like creating a television show out of stormlight only showing true events.
  7. Sorry to big the downer here b/c it would be a cool storyline. however, it doesnt make sense. Kaladin wasnt even in the city when Sadeas got there. Remember it takes a weeks worth of travel time to get from the warcamps to the portal. That being said, Kaladin was already back in Alethkar when Sadeas first arrived. So it would seem Kaladin would be the least likely suspect.
  8. Nalan Herald of Justice will die for real for stealing vashers sword. And hopefully some of the world hopping Meddlers will die as well my vote is for Mraize to be killed by Jasnah.
  9. BOOM! and right you are I had forgotten that tidbit. Maybe I should now make fun of myself for not remembering that. Wonder if the Moderators would still give me a spanking for making fun of myself..
  10. True enough however dont forget about the unplanned highstorm that the stormfather summoned to battle the everstorm/kill everybody. That highstorm would have infused all the gems at the Alethi warcamps. On a side note.. I am suprised that Kaladins depression is what everybody seems to find most annoying about him. Personally I find his know-it-all atitude the most annoying thing about him not the depression I can understand the depression part given the life he has had to live recently. Another side note.. Sorry to debunk the Syl was with Kaladin from childhood theory however, remember back when Kaladin first joined bridge 4 Syl stated that Kaladin trying to protect kids that reminded him of Tein was what drew her to him. Therefore we know that Syl didn't started following him until after Kaladin lost his brother in Amarams army.
  11. Shallan might have suspected that the everstorm would transform the parshmen but they didn't know for certain. The only thing Shallan and Jasnah knew for certain at the end of Way of Kings was that the parshmen were voidbringers. They didn't know for sure how they would be transformed until after Dalinar came back from bonding the stormfather and he said, It is worse than we feared the stormfather confirmed it the worlds parshmen will be transformed by the everstorm etc etc. second to the last scene in the book. Couldn't remember the exact quote as I do not have my copy on me at the moment however it should be easy to find.
  12. Ok sorry about that, true enough, should count to ten and breath before responding. Kaladin didn't leave earlier b/c they didn't find out that the parshmen would be transformed by the the everstorm until after Dalinar bonded the Stormfather. And he didn't do that until they had been there for a week or so. Also I don't think a single pouch full of spheres is going to hurt anything considering the Alethi had been harvesting gem hearts bigger than your fist for years while on the shattered plains.. If there was such a thing as Wells Fargo on this world the Alethi warcamps would be its location.
  13. I agree with this theory in part. From the scene with Shallan and the thugs it is clear that something happened to her in her past long before her dads murder. My theory is she was sexually assualted and was broken in that way. Prolly during one of her first meetings with an unsavory type assassin. BTW who said being broken has to be a slow processes? If my theory is correct anyone who indured something like that could for sure have been broken by just this one instance. Not saying her fathers murder didn't widen the crack a bit but she was basicly bonded to a spren BEFORE the murder of her father. Also if my theory is correct it would explain alot in her entire character.
  14. Plus we cant hope the side projects slow down some. Not that their bad in anyway shape or form. But he is just one person. Maybe we of the 17th shard can lean on him a bit to finish the first five Stormlight books first, then do a side project or two.
  15. Your on the right track I think the same thing so have an upvote from me. Great minds and all.....
  16. Well in Humpty's humble opinion they will give them up. First and foremost IF it becomes public knowledge they are dead spren and having one and summoning it basicly totures the spren. They wont do it out of noble or honoralbe reasons they will do it for greedy purposes. After all Mr. Sanderson himself said, "to be human is to want that which we cannot have" After observing the new radiants with the Varsity blades I am sure the normal shardbearers will want one. And the only possiblity of getting one is to not be bound to a old blade they will give them up. After all their way of thinking is what spren wouldn't want to bond with a lighteyes considering they bonded with a foreigner and a dark-eyed slave.
  17. If you guys haven't ever listen to the audiobook version you should. The Male voice actor is amazing its even better on audiobook then reading it. It probably sounds dumb to most of you guys but I wouldn't joke about these things.
  18. All those in favor of Mraize getting a slow and pain death say AYE!!!!
  19. Its annoying not being able to figure something like this out for sure. The eleventh lamp on the wall, is the only other theory I have read that comes close to this one. Just too many damnation coincidence's for my tastes. Coincidence's, when stacked togather like that turns into evidence. Someone needs to ask BS about this topic and if he says, "RAFO" punch him in the mouth.... Joking about the punching part of course...lol
  20. This might be true..however, do we know if the Radiants for sure built Urithiru? Or the more than likely senario... the Heralds having a direct hand in building Urithiru.. My guess is the Radiants had help or it was build before the radiants were established. If this is the case than my theory is still sound.
  21. WoB said that? ok cool so it still might be true about the third Oath theory..
  22. Also do not forget at the end of WoR in Urithiru Dalanar said that Shallan had been unable to make the other oathgates work.
  23. There is a flaw in this. Shallan had access to her shard blade after having only said the first Oath. She killed her mother with it defending herself years ago... Kaladin didn't get his till the third oath was given. That being said we can assume that it is deferent for each order. I am guessing it has more to do with the Oathpact than the Oaths given by the Radiants. Just a thought, I would love to know for sure However, its probably RAFO bait.
  24. I have a question/theory about why only one of the Oathgates is working. I have tried to find information on the topic but everyone seems to think its a mechanical flaw, or not enough stormlight problem. Does anyone one else think that b/c nine of the ten Heralds abandoned the "Oathpact" that might be the problem. I might be way off base here but why would they be named "Oathgates" if there wasn't any connection at all. I have been wondering about this since I finished my Reread of the series. Any insight you experienced 17th shards could provide would be helpful.
  25. Yup panties wet...
