  1. Because this war is going on? Also to steal the moon scepter and get Shai arrested doing so. But there's probably a lot of years between those two.
  2. Now, see, that's relative to everything else. It's got the most info, but we still know next to nothing beyond how it's laid out
  3. Warbreaker. There is not much info on the cosmere in Warbreaker. Want to look young and beautiful forever! Come to Nalthis and we'll hook you right up? Just a measly 2000 human souls!Yeah I know they aren't the whole soul, but Idrian religious phrasing is fun.
  4. It's amazing how energy can be compared to ideal gas theory so closely eh? And the diffusion of aqueous solutions too. Everything pretty much works that way. Except man-made things like money of course. Money gravitates to the more concentrated direction . . .
  5. Because that's what pewter actually is. "Pewter is a malleable metal alloy, traditionally 85–99% tin, with the remainder consisting of copper, antimony, bismuth and sometimes, less commonly today, lead." Says wikipedia. It also says silver is sometimes used, but probably not often, and when the material is 91% tin you can't really call it a silver alloy.
  6. Can awakened objects be heightened? It's a good question. Nobody pours that much breath in anything except Returned, and Returned have human bodies. It's weird a sword even has senses in the first place.
  7. I'm sure dead people don't have breath anyway, being dead. Gray seems common for shardblade shenanigans, and black might be along those lines . . . Sheathed Nightblood is strange.
  8. The Skybreakers would not illegally murder someone. They'll never hear the end of it from Nalan.
  9. I believe total agelessness is fifth heightening. Which is how much the divine breath is worth, hence Returned being ageless. So many ways to live forever these days.
  10. Yeah, TLR will be fine. He might not hold much Investiture at once without overtaxing his metalminds, but unlike the others replenishing is pretty much a piece of cake.
  11. I don't recall Nightblood ever draining investiture out of things other than the wielder. They never live long enough to be checked for breath removal, and Nightblood is really just a (somewhat broken) shardblade, so I'm skeptical. I reckon he would have as much luck draining investiture out of a materialized blade as he would draining out of a block of atium. Or a human soul. There really loose investiture in those kinds of things to just drink up.
  12. When you question the Catholic Church for ever having ties to the Inquisition. When you can read Aonic better than your own country's official language and don't feel bad about it.
  13. I can never quite figure out what he's saying in all honesty.
  14. Heralds. Whatever Hoid is using, which the 17th Shard members likely know of on top of all other immortality methods they probably know.
  15. Same thing as when Nightblood hits another hypothetical Nightblood, I assume. Or a shardblade hits another shardblade. Absolutely nothing.
  16. Why in Damnation's eleventh name would the forms of power meant to bring about the end of the world be incapable of fulfilling their job without access to weapons that did not exist in available form until after the forms of power were lost to history?
  17. Well to be fair a lot of the spren that became part of the system might not even be Honor-aligned.
  18. Spren predate the death of honor, and yet are splinters. In fact, Cultivation and Odium are whole as far as we know and have spren. You can be more or less whole and still have pieces coming off of you. You have, say, this rough plank of wood called Endowment. You can get some splinters of wood hurting you while touching it, or you can be Odium, strap it to some TNT, and blow it to smithereens, giving you thousands of pieces of wood everywhere ready to prick you.
  19. I'm sure shards don't normally receive letters.
  20. He's also in Elantris, Emperor's Soul's events are partially his fault, and every Mistborn book features him as well. It's like one of the first things people notice.
  21. We still need to know what lerasium spikes do. . . It would be interesting at least.
  22. So is Braize supposed to be farther out or closer? If it's closer: Ouch.
  23. He wasn't trying to win though. At all. In fact he just kills himself at the end when just couldn't deny the radiants' return any longer. You can't really be fairly dominated when you don't actually start a fight. And still nobody managed to actually kill him before he offed himself.
  24. This is Dalinar before that right? How long would Sazed's charges last? Giving it to Marsh for now.
  25. Meanwhile a Returned is chilling on Roshar fueled by stormlight. Investiture is investiture. It might take a bit more hacking and jury-rigging than the original question would suggest but it will likely work somehow. There's also the fact that Nightblood is a shardblade constructed using biochroma as the basis of its creation. As to the actual question though, won't it probably just drain the color from the gem and ignore the stormlight completely?
