It appears as though I am likely to be in the Salt Lake area in the general vicinity of May 31 - June 1 or 2.

Well, depending on traffic and weather, it usually takes about an hour for me to drive to Salt Lake, so the distance is worth mentioning even though it's a lot closer than we usually are.

Ooh! Which parks you planning on visiting?

Um. Lots. Definitely Zion (there's a lot of pretty wilderness between SLC and Zion) and Grand Canyon. There's other stuff around in there, and we'll head down to Sedona and visit Meteor Crater, the Painted Desert, and the Petrified Forest. Depending on time/stamina, we might head home from there or angle down into souther NM to visit Carlsbad Caverns.
