I see Hoid having his own show on TV. He would make fun of other shows, politicians, celebrities, news and everything else (like that one guy... I can't remember his name right now, somebody help? the guy who has his own show and pokes fun at CNN, USA politicians and all that... he wears glasses an the background is blue... sorry, I honestly don't remeber his name or the title of the show). Everybody would love him as long as they won't become his targets (as he sometimes goes on the streets and uses his wit against innocent passerbys).

I wouldn't call us lunatics. Yes, Adolin did the right thing. Sadeas needed to be killed. I don't think anyone here questions that. What we wonder about is how it will affect Adolin personally. He's not the kind of person to go around stabbing people. He's the kind to kill them in an official duel. He snapped and murdered Sadeas in rage. He will feel guilty for the way he did it not for the fact he did it. He will feel guilty for not being the man his father wanted him to be not for Sadeas' death. It was already explained a few times before in this thread... That's true. The trial may not be a good idea. What I meant was more that Ialai won't let the whole matter be done with quietly, she will use it against the Kholin family. She may strike a deal at the same time discreetly convincing people that the Kholins tried to sweep the matter of Torol's murder under the carpet to hide their shame. No matter the punishment issued on Adolin (unless it's death sentence, which I doubt) she would still feel it's not sufficient and try to punish (kill) him anyway, regardless of any deals, official repercussions or retributions (probably in the form of Adolin's Shards...). She has just the right resources to do it. Before, that was political. Adolin was a threat, so they needed to get rid of him. Now, it's personal. Ialai will want revenge. Bloody revenge if possible. She will not stop. She will go for it with more determination. Kaladin, better hurry up, somebody must save Adolin's backside from all of those assasins... In a world where sons inherit their fathers' lands/offices/titles it would be very strange for Sadeas to have no son. Maybe he just wasn't improtant enough for the plot by now so he wasn't mentioned? Maybe he didn't come to the Plains, instead staying in his father's princedom? I have no idea how to explain this, really (at least no plausible one). But Sadeas must have an heir. If not a son then maybe a cousin/nephew/anyone... Otherwise it makes no sense to me.

Kaladins gonna fall in love with veil(spoilers)
Kyats Rani replied to Wit422's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't think Shallan will follow Dalinar, unless she feels like it. She will think that they want to trap her like her father did. To me she seems paranoid about this (whenever somebody cares for her, tries to protect her or tell her what to do, even if they are right about it), which is understandable given her past. Right now she tries very hard to prove to the world (and herself) that she doesn't need anyone to protect/help/guide her. She knows better than anyone (when she speaks during the meeting before the battle or at the very end when she openly disapproves of Dalinar allowing Kaladin to go to Heartstone), so she won't listen to anyone unless it serves her own interests. That is one thing that I currently dislike about her, but I hope that in the next books she will come to her senses and admit that everyone, even her, can't do everything alone While I agree with this idea, I'm not so much convinced that Adolin will go on suicide mission to redeem himself. It may be so or it may be that he throws his life away to achieve something great and prove that he's still useful (as he will doubt himself, being the only non-Radiant in the family). Or it may be both those reasons at once... But I don't want Radiants to come to his rescue - I want Renarin to save his brother from deadly wound with the use of Progression while Kaladin (or even anyone else) fights the danger Later Adolin is taken to his father, who had been worried sick and is completely elated to see his son alive. Or Adolin may save himself by reviving his Blade, which I also want to see. But he still later may need Renarin to save his life (as in Adolin won the fight but he's too wounded to survive). -
I understand your point. I guess it was too late and I was too sleepy to think very clearly But yes, people do think that spheres can be used in Soulcasters irrelevantly of whether or not it's true, so it explains why the value of spheres seems to be determined by their usefulness in soulcasting. That's an interesting point actually, I wonder if it will be revealed in the next books. Maybe when Jasnah comes back she and Navani will figure out the connection between the surge and the fabrial?
-
No, it's not that. I'm very well aware that I'm propably mistaken, but that's how I see fabrials working - because of a certain form made of metal and correct gems. What you say makes sense, though. I guess I don't understand much about the fabrials
-
I guess, but part of the problem is that I didn't manage to be clear on what I'm saying... That happens to me sometimes... What I was trying to say was that I don't think spheres work in normal (fabrial) Soulcasters. Therefore I was wondering how Jasnah would explain that, but I guess you already answered me - it's likely that most people know little to none about Soulcasters so they may have assumed it plausible. Or maybe the society thinks that the spheres can be used in Soulcasters, but that's not really the case?

I like cats and dogs so that's not that much of a problem Granted, but you can never stop hopping and spinning. I wish to be able to drink whatever I want and never get drunk. -
Maybe Stormlight stored in a certain kind of gem has different properties? As in, better to use for Soulcasting even with the use of Transformation surge? Maybe the correct type of light is more likely to convince the spren to change into the right thing? I think it was easier for Jasnah to soulcast blood while using the garnet. If she called for a garnet only to make people believe that she's using a real soulcaster, then how would she explain using a sphere? The way I understood it, the modern soulcasters are fabrials. Fabrials work because certain kind of gems are connected by a proper metalwork. To use a sphere to power the soulcaster one would have to somehow put the sphere into the fabrial so that it still works. And I believe that fabrials don't work if everything is not connected properly. The glass part of the sphere may even influence the fabrial somehow. I guess the fabrial soulcasters need to have a correct form, so the spheres simply don't fit. So there would be no reason for Jasnah to call for a certain sphere if it didn't influence her surgebinding somehow. That would leave the question how did she manage to explain it to people?

Hm... It has very big teeth? Granted, you don't have a backpack anymore. I wish to be a good singer. -
True. But she has something that Navani has not - a very good network of spies and assasins. Even when losing all power personally, she can still use those to influence others - highprinces, common people etc. Besides, her husband has been murdered. The way I understand Alethi law (and I'm not saying it's very well - I barely understand the law in my own country ) in such situation she can demand justice or retribution. Or both. And she will. She will use everything she has to get her revenge. That's the kind of person she seems to me. I agree. She loves him and beside that she seems to be very supportive of his ploys and goals. And to me she seems the minds of their all operations - Sadeas decides what needs to be done, Ialai finds a way to do it. She's a very resourceful woman. That is actually a very good point. If she wants to have Adolin assasinated, I really hope that Kaladin will be back in Urithiru by then The Kholins position is truly strong, but I think Ialai may try to uproot them anyway. I mean, she always seemed to me a vital part of her husband's ploys so she propably has her own purpose in them. Sadeas wanted to oppose Dalinar anyway, until the end (his end). Ialai may want the same. Besides, I also believe she will want revenge. And not only on Adolin - on their whole family. On the other note - do we know if Sadeas had a son or other known heir? I'm aware no such person was mentioned in the books, but then again, neither was Relis (son of a highprince) until he became an active "player" (I can't think of a better word) in the series. Because if so, then Ialai will have even more reasons to go against the Kholins - the future of her son, who propably is similair kind of person and will make ruckus of the matter in his own right.

Kaladins gonna fall in love with veil(spoilers)
Kyats Rani replied to Wit422's topic in Stormlight Archive
Personally, I think that they already started turning into real friends and what they need now is not more drama but just more interactions, something to work on together, maybe (I don't know, a mission assigned to them or anything). Ideally (at least for me) it would be so that Kaladin will end up being the only one supporting Adolin after the truth about Sadeas comes out (with Dalinar disappointed, Shallan busy and Renarin drifting away from his brother due to his Radianthood among other things). But hopefully, their bickering will remain forever I agree. That's not something Adolin would throw a fit about. He would understand. In my opinion, the conflict will simply be Adolin and Shallan drifting apart. Adolin will think himself not worthy enough and he will be in poor mental state in general (due to murdering Sadeas and therefore disappointing Dalinar). He will need somebody to be there for him, to comfort him and so on. And Shallan simply won't be that somebody. Now why? Because she will have different priorities. Currently, she doesn't need marriage with Adolin any more (though she may still want it...), so she won't feel so much inclined to keep his attention and so on. Infiltrating Ghostbloods and saving the world will be the only things she will focus on. And Adolin won't be making things easier for her so she will simply have no time for him. I imagine him coming to her looking for support and her snapping at him (too much stress ) not to interrupt her work. He will feel completely abandoned and won't bother her anymore. Of course, sometime in the future Shallan will realize her mistake and feel bad for it... As for Kaladin and Veil... He doesn't seem the kind of person to fall in love just like that. He may appreciate Veil's looks or something like that, but for him to fall for her they would have to actually interact for more than a brief meeting (or even a few of such). And that is not likely to happen. I don't see Shallan wasting her time being Veil (or any other secret identity) any longer than she absolutely must. -
I actually have a different opinion on this... I'm very convinced that Ialai is not going to let the matter go too easily. She's going to use all of her spies to find out who killed her husband, so even if Adolin admits his crime to his father only, she will know. One way or another. Thus I believe Ialai will demand public trial or anyhow else she won't allow the Kholins to sort out the matter quietly. She will want everyone to know of Adolin's crime. She will try to use it against Dalinar and the others. She will strive to put as much shame on house Kholin as she can. Settling the score off-record won't give her this chance. And since the matter will be public, Elhokar will try to show himself as the true king - HE rules, not Dalinar. I agree with the official and non-official punishment idea. That's more or less how I see this. We don't. At least it wasn't officially stated. But many (me included) tend to see this as obvious - sooner or later the truth will come out. By now nobody knows yet, but as for the end of WoR nobody propably knows yet that Sadeas is dead in the first place Personally, I think that even if Adolin's clue hiding skills will somehow be enough, he will be eaten up by guilt, so his behaviour will propably reveal him as a potential culprit. For me, the question isn't whether or not Adolin will be found out. It's whether he will break and admit to Dalinar what he has done or somebody discovers the truth (Renarin, Ialai's spies, Nalan, anyone).

Kaladins gonna fall in love with veil(spoilers)
Kyats Rani replied to Wit422's topic in Stormlight Archive
You're right. I forgot about that... But still it's not very likely Kaladin will even meet Veil. But not completely impossible either... Some interaction with Veil (or other secret identity) may be very interesting... Especially form Shallan's pov - will they recognise her somehow? isn't she acting/talking too much like herself? I can totally see her worrying like that... -
I don't know if he would eat anything... He just doesn't want Shallan to feel bad that she's not a very good cook. After all, he's rich. They can always hire cooks (maybe Rock...?). As for Kaladin's cookies... They were delicious And Renarin, being the smart and sneaky guy he is, claimed that he's going to go and personally tell Syl how good the cookie she's made so often, that Kaladin finally lost his patience and admitted to him that he baked them himself. And he openly told Renarin that he's going to kick him out of the Brigde 4 if he even thinks of telling Adolin... Renarin didn't tell Adolin. Yet. That's too good of a blackmail to waste it now. He's waiting for the best moment And now Adolin can't understand why he's not allowed to get a pet. Especially since his brother has one! And not only Renarin... Shallan has a parrot and Kaladin's got a cat. A black one. A very, very mean one. At least Adolin thinks so. After all the mean beast scratched his so hard that he still has scars (faint ones but still...). And it has nothing to do with the fact that he had tried to rub its belly... When the cat certainly didn't want it. What was the beast's name again? Dreamstorm or something like that. Kaladin pretends that he hates the animal himself but everyone can see it's only an act on his part (and a very poor one). Navani accuses Dalinar of hypocrisy. "And you say I'M the overprotective one..." Renarin advises Kaladin to visit through the window so he doesn't have to meet either of them and answer the endless questions of the kind of "Do you think it's safe for Adolin to..." or for the 100th time nod his head and promise that yes, he will watch over Adolin during his visit. Navani changed her mind about Shallan after seeing how much she cares for Adolin during his illness. Now they team up to make sure he's alright (while they don't chat about science of course...). Adolin does anything he can (usually through Renarin) to keep his girlfriend away from his aunt (and Jasnah) so she can focus on him instead... And Renarin and Kaladin shake their heads claiming that he's got it very, very hard. But at the beginning she was too unthoughtful... She didn't think of the consequences and kept ranting at home on "that annoying boy form her class" so much that even Kaladin finally caught it and went into "the overprotective big brother mode". He used some poor excuse to pick her up from school only to check this kid she was talking about. Och, if the looks could kill... Nightblood labeled Kaldin as one of his super-villains Lucklily for Syl, he still doesn't know why he had received those hateful looks... Truth be told, he may not even be aware that Kaladin is Syl's brother

Wow, thanks for the comliment And no, I didn't consider it yet, but that may be some kind of a back-up plan so I don't end up frying burgers in McDonalds (I don't say it to insult people who works this kind of jobs - it's just a running gag among my friends since we are studying engineering) Well, I'm pretty sure it was about Amaram. But I don't think that Amaram offered his support only in exchange for Roshone. Dalinar often mentions how long was he trusting Amaram, calling him old friend and so on. I'd say that they had been allies since long before, but Dalinar may have been afraid (or Amaram suggested it) that he won't support them anymore if they don't pardon Roshone. I think that Amaram was helping Kholins as far back as when Gavilar tried to take the crown (come on, he must've had a great deal of favor in the king's eyes to seriously think of marrying Jasnah - and from her prologue we know that he did) and that was long before the whole deal with Roshone. But that still upholds your point of Amaram being somehow responsible for all the evil that befell Kaladin and his family.
-
You are right. And yet things like that may change now that they're fighting Voidbringers. Now, everything that can help kill them will be useful. And I doubt many common soldiers will try to fight against Voidbringers so propably the battles will be planned so everyone will stay far behind Radiants and Shardbearers so the throwing won't be so risky...

He can. But there is also a matter if he will do it. Elhokar is not the sharpest tool in the shed and he can be pretty stubborn trying to prove that he is a king on his own. He wants people to respect him but he's not the kind of person to earn this respect in a right way (like Kaladin did for example). He will most likely try to enforce respect for himself and therefore he may decide to be stern and unforgiving even (especially) towards his family... And that is kind of beyond the point. It's not about whether of not Adolin will face consequences of his doings as in if he will be punished for it. It's about his own morality and his own mind. And the fact that he is pardoned may not necessarily mean that he will be able to forgive himself. Mind you, I'm not saying that Adolin will feel bad for killing Sadeas (I'm sure he's convinced that was the right thing to do) but he won't forgive himself the fact that he murdered somebody without giving him chance to protect himself. Adolin is not the type of person to be a ruthless murderer. He's a kind, caring person. Sadeas needed to die, but Adolin will feel disgusted with himself because of the way he did it. And, even more, because by doing this he went against all that Dalinar tried to teach him (but maxal has already explained this aspect very well). I'm convinced that Adolin will suffer because of the murder. And not because of any punishment that may be issued against him (at least not only because of it). He will suffer from guilt. It may even be eating him alive. And the longer it will take everyone to find out who killed Sadeas, the more Adolin will suffer, trying his best to hide his crime, afraid of punishment but mostly of his father's reaction.

You make a valid point. And yet I have a different opinion on the part with Dalinar making Amaram a Radiant. Firstly, people tend to see Amaram as the greatest man ever so they are likely to think "he's so honarable and good and whatnot, he couldn't turn against us". I know it's not a good argument, but I think it could be a part of it. Secondly, I tend to think that people didn't think too much about the matter. Most of the common people may not have known to much or have heard only rumors in which they didn't believe. Others may have thought it's a byproduct of Dalinar's dementia - he's getting older, he has strange ideas, nothing serious to care about. One man declared a supposed Radiant - that's nothing too troubling. But a larger group? Made mostly of some lowly or unimportant people who don't have Amaram's reputation of honor? Actively trying to do something as being Radiants and not just walk around basking in a fancy title? Now that may be a problem. Thirdly, there's also Surgebinding. Everyone must have heard stories about the Radiants of old using magic/supernatural abilities. Somebody does that now? That means they're just like the ones form before! Besides, didn't the Assasin in White do the same (that would focus against Kaladin)? And he was evil! By default, people fear things they don't understand, at least at the beginning, before they get used to it. It's obvious they would fear surgebinders as they can do something strange, unexplainable. Besides, the circumstances are strongly against the new KR. When Amaram was named a Radiant nothing strange was happening. But now, as the real KR appeared - it's the beginning of the Desolation. The Everstorm came and propably killed many people, destroying cities and so on. People look for explanations. Usually for the simplest (and untrue) ones. The Desolation started. The KR appeared. It must be their fault then! They brought it upon us! As for people with superpowers helping the society... The X-Men movies - the mutants have superpowers they use to help, yet they're still feared and hated. Supernatural abilities (surgebinding) is the last thing that would make common people trust the new KR... And the Radiants can't just run around and save everyone - there are too many people and too little Radiants for that. Say, Kaladin saves people from his hometown from the Voidbringers because he is around. They are going to accept him as a hero. But what about all the other villages who weren't directly saved by a Radiant? Even if they are told that they are safe thanks to the Radiants, they aren't too likely to believe that basing on prejudices. I hope you don't think it was me... I don't downvote people, no matter how much what they say differs from what I think. Actually, if everyone agreed then every discussion would be so boring... Just imagine it: Person A: "So, I think that [something] is the case." Person B: "Yes, that's most definitely true." Person C: "I agree completely." Person D: "A, you are right." ... Person Z: "Of course it's true!" I think would leave as soon as I can...

Granted, you can NEVER return to 17th shard. I wish my roommates would clean after themselves. -
I think I have to disagree. People on Roshar aren't going to simply accept KR back. They still consider them traitors, so there will surely be many troubles for the new KR to gain any acceptance. Sadeas going against Dalinar would only make the matters worse. Now, the KR have better chance. Because people would believe the scheming Sadeas. No matter what Dalinar did, there were still people following Sadeas - that wouldn't change. And now, with Dalinar being a Radiant it would be only worse. Common people don't remember the greatness of KR, their sacrifices to protect the mankind from Desolations. They only remember the Recreneance (sp?). Sadeas would surely find a way to convince at least some that Dalinar somehow caused/helped the Everstorm (or at least Ialai would - she's the brains in the relationship) - that was his plan after all. Maybe highprinces wouldn't believe him, maybe the armies wouldn't. But what about common people? Ones that weren't there when Shallan, as a Radiant, saved the armies from Voidbringers? Ones that wouldn't know that Kaladin, a Radiant, supposedly killed the Assasin in White? Ones that believe seeing the future is inheretely evil and that's what Renarin, a Radiant, does? No, if Sadeas stayed alive he would still cause many problems. And dealing with them would distract Dalinar from the real threat (but then again, dealing with the fact that his son killed a highprince will distract him too).
-
I guess it is important to see things from the other perspectives... Ok, I'm a very important and respected Highlord commanding and army and working with a secret organiation that may have nothing to do with the matter at hand. I ride into battle to show my troops how brave I am so they admire me even more and think me a great leader who's not afraid to fight himself. Well, that's who I am to them and it's important to keep it up, troops must respect and admire their general. Everything goes well, until the Shardbearer apperas. What is he doing here in the first place? Och, storms, he's coming right at me... Where are my guards? O, they have ran away by now. Mind note - if I survive I should propably get new guards... What to do now? Fight I guess. So I was saved. By a few darkeyed spearmen. One of them to be exact, who managed to kill the Shardbearer. How on Roshar did he even manage to pull it off?! Is that even possible? Alright, focus. There's no way he's anything more than just a very lucky soldier. That's the one everyone call lucky, right? How was it... Stormblessed? Yeah, something like that. Nevermind, lad got lucky but he's a fool. Did he really say he doesn't want the Shards?! That was propably result of a battle shock. He may not yet believe he won them... Let's get my wounds tended to and talk to him. Almighty, I could really use those Shards... Alright. The lad truly is a fool. He still doesn't want the Shards. Well, that's his loss. I will do better with them than he could ever imagine to anyway. But how foolish must he be to try to give the Shards to an untrained spearman? I'd understand if he kept them, he won them after all. But that other one, whatever is his name, has no right and no capacity needed to wield Shards. If I had them I could do so much good (especially in for the Sons of Honor - our goal is of the highest importance). Now, how do I convince the kid to give Shards to me? No, that wouldn't do. They would talk. Besides, if he had gotten himself a position of a squadleader at such young age he must be smarter. He's propably still in shock. When he comes to his senses he will want the Shards back. Nobody in his right mind gives up on Shards, especially not a lowly darkeye. That's their only way to become someone in this world! No, the Shards must be mine. There's no other option. For the good of Alethkar I need them. But what can I do? They won't keep quiet, they're soldiers, they always talk, especially when drunk. But I need those Shards... I have no other option. What I'm doing is more important than the lives of few darkeyes. What about the one who saved me? I should propably kill him too. But no, I can't. Killing him wouldn't be honorable... Nobody will believe him anyway, especially if I say he tried to desert... Yes, that will do. And why is he thrashing so much? He should understand - it's for the greater good! They don't understand the greatness and importance of my goal. It is the best way for everyone. One day he will see that too... When Sons of Honor achive the ultimate goal. Hm... How did I do? I have a feeling that Twenty did a way better job at it  Sorry, I can't put myself in Amaram's shoes (or his skin for that matter). I can't get his mindset
-
I see your point(s) - the idea was good but it was done poorly. Yet still I liked it Especially because of Cara - her powers/abilities for one were exactly defined in what they can or cannot do and she never managed to get anything more out of them even if that meant she would fail. Actually, even her character was done quite well (especially compared to some others). And I agree that Richard had it all too easy - that's why I liked that one book in which a country simply decided that they won't follow him. As to Amaram's honor... In my opinion he's a well made character, even if one I dislike. That's actually what makes him a well made character - I can admit he is one while still wanting him to die a horrible death He has his motives in which he believes and would defend them, proving how he is right and others are wrong. I guess when we learn more about the Sons of Honor in general we may even see that some of their motives are not inheretely evil, merely strongly misguided... while still them being the antagonists. And yet Amaram is not an honorable man in my eyes, while he surely is in his own. An honorable person doesn't lie and hide things nearly so much as Amaram does to pretend he's so pure and innocent (surprising he didn't try to belch rainbows yet ). And he did refuse to help Adolin during his duel. It's not a matter or whether or no he would actually be of any use on the field (but he would be to some extent). It's about that he didn't have the courage to look Dalinar in the eyes and say "I won't help him, because..." and the lousy argument he used later on (about not taking any sides - were he truly honorable he would take the side of the one who needed help). Besides there's also the matter of the Shards Kaladin won. What Amaram did then was truly awful. The argument "It's better for the Shards to be in possesion of somebody who is more capable of using them" is a valid one. But as a justification for killing innocent men, who faithfully fought for him? I don't think so. If he were an honorable man he would ask Kaladin to give him the Shards and not fear so much for his public opinion (he wouldn't have anything to hide or to be ashamed of). And the way he tried to deny everything before Dalinar and convince him that he's the good one near the end of WoR? It would be much better had he just honorably accept that the truth had been uncovered without looking for justifications. In the end I have only one coment on the matter of Amaram's honor. I hope nobody would mind the reference, but the only thing I can think of is Tyrion Lannister's quote from the TV series: "I'm not questioning your honor. I'm denying it's existance".
-
I actually liked Sword of Truth very much  But maybe because I liked Cara and the other Mord-sith... And propably also because while I'm not a big fan of romance for some reason I really liked the relationship between Richard and Kahlan  But truth be told - the antagonists are mostly strawmen. Nicci was cool but she turned to be a protagonist in the end.
-
Lucklily for Adolin, his friends were bringing him edible food - Renarin provided meals from the Kholin mansion, Shallan kept bringing her homemade soups and salads (and while they were better than the hospital food they still weren't particularly tasty - nevertheless Adolin always ate them and complimented Shallan who was blushing at the praise, all that while Renarin quietly dumped most of his portion through the window ). Kaladin was usually buying something simple (fruits and vegetables as they are very healthy) but once surprised everyone by bringing delicious homemade chocolate cookies, claiming that his sister made them (ashamed to admit that he baked them himself - Syl only showed him how). You don't play the "I dare you" game with Renarin. He always wins Renarin kept smuggling Glys into the hospital from time to time so Adolin could play with him (poor Adolin never had his own pet) having ordered Glys beforehand NOT to bite Adolin. He made the mistake of bringing him the day of the Masterchef and had to struggle to keep Glys from attacking poor Wyndle whom Lift left in his care while she went off to berate the contestants. Lift also made sure that all money made thanks to this episode went to support the hospital. She also joked with the patients when the cooks were struggling in the kitchen. She even started a lenghty conversation with Shallan on plants, while Kaladin and the Kholins just shared a look full of horror and backed away. Adolin dared Kal to steal something from the cooks. He didn't want to agree but did it in the end after Renarin called him a scaredy chicken. Kal forgot to take an autograph for his sister, so Syl was mad at him In the end Kal was feeling so guilty that he asked Renarin on how did he manage to contact Lift in the first place and later with his help sent a message to Lift asking if she could sent back an autograph for his little sister. But as we know, Lift is awesome so she instead invited Syl to the studio to see the making of a new episode from backstage. When Kaladin visited him some time later, Adolin kept ranting on how delicious is the stew that the new cook is making. To this Kal answered that he knows - Rock is his good friend after all. Adolin pouted that he wasn't ever told about it and declared hiself betrayed upon hearing that Renarin has already visited Rock's home with Kaladin and members of the Bridge 4 before so he has tried the stew already as well. In the end Renarin proves himself to be a disatrous player but a very talented strategist - he knows the rules better than most players and often advices the Whitespines on what to do. He's so good at predicting the actions of the opposing teams that some accuse him of seeing the future Och, Syl is fond of Nightblood... Even if she thinks he should get his priorities straight. And she likes his nickname very much to... She generally likes nicknames. Especially her brother's nickname "Stomblessed" which she thought up after miraclously leading his team to win on a very stormy day Kal hates it but... He couldn't do anything when she told his teammates of her idea - they quickly took to it much to his despair.

Of course it's not bad But you may want to know that the 2nd ideal of Skybreakers is known. If I remember correctly it's "I will put law above all else" (or something along the lines of this). As for your ideal for Bondsmiths - the idea is good but it sounds too much like the Windrunners. It would be better without that last part (about being right).
