I I think they don't throw it during battle because there is always a risk Of hitting your own men. Shardbearers are supposed to be in the front but during the chaos of battle lots of things can happen. They wouldn't throw it at the beginning of a battle because they are needed to secure the bridges and try to get to the gem heart asap

it has to do with it because people said it is impossible to bond a spren while you have a shard blade. And renarin got one before he healed his eyes which, to me, implies he wasn't a radiant until a little before healing his eyes. Syl didn't like shard blades ever so I would also assume that you would hear screaming. I do agree that ym's spren was a TW because he isn't described as vines like wyndle. But say renarin did have glys before the blade, I think that would have slowed their bond because glys would be fighting with a zombie and stuff. ( I like to think at shard blades as zombies because they're "dead")

She could have used the transportation surge even though she hadn't mastered this ability yet. But she did the whole thing on purpose to dispose of the murderers. I wouldn't call it vigilante like some people considering that she is a radiant and that's her job. She also has her shard blade and since she can do both surges then I speculate that she is level 2 radiant
-
I stand corrected on that but still... a thug verses a radiant? Do you not see where I'm coming from? I will come up with a different comparison. A fox fighting a tiger. A man with a shotgun verses a railgun (railguns are actually real, you can see one on youtube. It looks like a tank/cannon thing). Me verses a grizzly. The muggers were so overmatched it's crazy. I still think what she did is worse than adolin. Adolin is a man, sadeas is also a man but old. That seems a lot more fair of a fight.
-
I was talking about adolin for The definitions. And i dont have my Wok with me but Im pretty sure they were in an alley and cornered. And ludicrous? Are you saying that daggers are not pitiful compared to a soulcaster? I was making a comparison. And it also depends on the projectile that the bazooka is launching.
-
Technically speaking Jasnah did not do self defence. They hadn't assaulted her yet and she killed them. Adolin committed ,I believe though I could be wrong, aggravated assault which then led to manslaughter. He had no plans to kill sadeas until they were already fighting so it would be defined as manslaughter or homicide, not murder. Murder: the crime of deliberately killing a person. Manslaughter: the unlawful killing of a human being without express or implied malice. Homicide: the act of killing another person. Aggravated assault: an assault that is more serious than a common assault: as a : any of various assaults so defined by statute. If anyone argues with the definitions you can take it up and argue with Merriam-Webster

It doesn't seem like he was trying to heal at all. It just happened. And Kaladin was sucking stormlight during bridge runs totally unaware for a time before teft pointed it out. Mysterious dun spheres. And using a surge is a lot harder that just sucking in stormlight and letting it heal you, so I'm pretty sure that renarin's eyes healed by stormlight and not by progression.
-
if you can say that then I can say that maybe adolin has already attracted a spren (maybe his shard blade). Renarin got his blade as soon as adolin won his first duel. Pg 227 I think. And I'm not sure when he stopped wearing glasses but I'm pretty sure it was after. And since adolin has had his blade since 15 then he could have been bonding with it ( oh so slowly) since then because that's the age where most people believe that syl started bonding with Kaladin.
-
well Kaladin was unconsciously reverse lashing the bridge to absorb arrows into it. And he ha only said the Universal ideal to the radiants. He didn't say the second one until the end of Wok, so renarin wouldn't have to be a level 2 radiant to use at least one of his surges. And could you quote where it says renarin consciously healed his eyes? I was under the impression that he did it unconsciously by sucking stormlight.
-
Well if renarin did have glys before having the shard blade then wouldn't he have healed his eye sight as soon as he had consumed stormlight. And Dalinar had his blade during some of his visions. Also he had one before he bonded with the storm father. I don't believe that having a shard blade dissuades a spren from bonding with you as it has nothing to do with your character. Like if someone is doing wonderful things like protecting a homeless man from gangsters or healing people for free then he might attract a spren, but if he has a shard blade then all of his goodness means nothing? I strongly disagree. If a spren did that then I don't think that that would be honorable. Just cause someone has a shard blade he is automatically a non-radiant, no matter how good of a person he is?

Actually he RAFO'd it according to the non martial application. But with the bow idea, I love that. Shard arrow!

Enhanced speed/strength of stormlight filled Kaladin

when Kaladin was fighting the parshendi Shardbearer on tWoK he breaks his spear by swinging his spear super hard and it breaks that section of plate. I don't think he can do that regularly but I don't think he can. -

That's what I think. I could be wrong, but since plate enhances a regular person by say x% then it would just make any person x% better than he would originally be.
