    we don't know, but there's a lot of evidence from the book, there's a thread or two about it somewhere on this board.

    that was me yeah, I asked him what metal it was made of at the Vancouver signing, he refused to tell me, but he did say it's got a slight hemalurgic charge. He also wrote in my book that it's made from a melted down Inquisitor spike.

    also remember that Preservation was slightly weaker the Ruin due to giving up a bit of power to create sentient life, so Harmony is slightly unbalanced in favour of Ruin, unless he locks some of that power away in atium to restore the balance, which he might wanna do.

    well obviously his body has got to be strengthened to some degree, otherwise he'd squish himself under his own weight. kind of a Required Secondary Power there. it just seems like it doesn't completely compensate for extreme amounts of tapped weight, so it makes it harder to move.

    I'm pretty sure the flying was a result of use of the Basic Lashing, rather then a feature of the Plate. Also, the gems sometimes break during a battle due to damage to the Plate, there's no evidence that they require maintenance/recharging if the Plate doesn't get used.

    because Preservation cheated so that people would be able to burn away the atium reserves to keep Ruin from getting at them.

    I'd like to announce that I've stayed up all night watching the final push for AMAL on Facebook and Twitter. Such a tension headache, but so excited.

    or, since they aren't fixed until you write down the measurement and they fluctuate, what would happen if you took a measurement, waited a couple of seconds, then took another and then wrote down both? Would they be fixed at the last measurement taken or the last written? What if you wrote the second measurement down before the first?

    I seem to recall Brandon saying somewhere that Shards can detect worldhoppers but only if they are actively looking for them. Maybe I'm just imagining things, I've been known to do that, and even if I'm right I don't recall if he said if they could detect worldhoppers, the act of worldhopping, or both.

    I think you mean Splinter, a Silver is a human who at one time held a large part of a Shard and gave it up, a Splinter is a piece of a Shard and has never been human, though it seems they often bond to humans. Also, the Heralds' swords are called Honorblades, the Dawnshards are something else. Probably.

    well I think Peter said that there was at least one more bead of Lerasium other then the one Elend ate at the Well prior to Vin and co. getting there, and we know Hoid was also at the Well at some point, so it's possible that Hoid took and ate a bead of Lerasium.

    welcome cagey, I recommend staying out of the General theories board til you've finished all of Brandon's adult books, as that board is stuffed full of unmarked spoilers for all of them. Also, watch out for Chaos, he likest to stalk people .
