The ending felt a little awkward to me, but the rest of it was just awesome! I had no trouble relating to Rey and Finn. Great characters. The beginning was dark and mysterious, the middle was... mysterious. Actually, the whole thing was kind of mysterious. What exactly is the political situation here? How Is the First Order existing alongside the Republic? Ah well, nevermind. I suppose I did feel as if there were a bunch of older characters (maybe just three or four, but still...) that had to be shoehorned in, but overall it felt pretty natural. The whole thing flowed well... It was very Star Wars. Kylo Ren reminds me of my brother, and it's nice to know what he was thinking. I don't think I've ever really been able to relate to, or get inside the head of, any of the corrupted force users in the saga. I just feel as if I get him.

I guess... Autumn's office, right? Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas. I'm just getting in on them now. After a few days of playing, I've found Skyrim to be sort of repetitive, but Fallout remains pretty unique throughout.

The reason they don't do anything is that we had some disagreements over what type of magic system we would use. Edgedancer had an idea for having magic "minerals," so white lumuoles were specifically made to accomodate that when we came up with this system. Edge is going to use them, along with some other people. I guess it's fine if you want to have them do something different in your region.

Well, the map of claimed lands is here But yeah. FYI though, the lumuole "associations" are just suggestions. You do not need to create a new type of lumuole to explain any powers you want to make. I just put that in there because I thought it would help people to come up with ideas. Of course, if you do want to create region-specific varieties, that's fine...

Here you go: I've probably missed a few, but those are all the named regions that I know of currently. I don't think there's any such thing as something you can't do with this magic system. You missed the entire discussion there, but I dare you to come up with something, anything, that it doesn't allow.

That's doable, I think. I'd suggest that you use yellow lumuoles rather than white, since meta-magic is their realm, but it doesn't matter, ultimately. In that case, the hotspots would be the white plants, which have some sort of biological agent that pulls lumuole portals into existence. What sorts of strange abilities are we talking about here?

I think we should just cut to the start. No need for more build-up on this thing, right? After all, it's a pretty minor event. I'd even suggest that we don't do repeat perspectives on it.

I need to feel the wind between my hair follicles! I need to... to have my personal bubble respected! I wasn't made for the prison life. Could you radio someone? Or... something, to let me go and kill some people? Like, radio your boss. Call your boss right now. Your boss can free me, right?" "No, she actually can't" Crush responded by lifting his head up and letting out the longest, most dickish sigh he could muster. "There are exactly two people with the power to clear you. Autumn Glass and the commander. Normally, you'd be a priority, but, eh..." "Stuff is actually happening." "Yes." "Well you're forgetting that there's a third person with the power to clear me, and it's me. I'm honestly about two Epic-hours away from just literally going insane and tearing out my own spleen." The guard raised an eyebrow. "That's like, thirty seconds in your time. Please. This isn't ethical." The guy sighed, shrugged, and then, blessedly, pulled out his radio. "Any idea where Autumn Glass is? The prisoner is becoming unstable." After a few bits of random chatter, a voice buzzed in. "Glass is at the church already, she's just working on becoming accustoming to her new bodyguards" "Well, could you have her interview my Epic now?"

Sounds similar to the idea that Winter had several weeks ago. My thoughts on it are the same as they were then: I don't want to be a chullhat, but I just don't particularly want a mechanic like this to interfere with my ecosystems. If you want to implement it in your regions, that's great. I love it, in fact. Just make sure that there are environmental factors keeping it isolated to certain areas of the globe. Does anyone have anything to say in the contrary? Remember that the lumuole "associations" are extremely vague. It's fine to work backwards, choosing an effect and then randomly deciding how it correlates to a certain type. There are lots of ways to look at anger, or blood manipulation, and you don't need to create a new type to explain how it works (although you could. Just keep it isolated to your region. It makes it more unique, and therefore cool, in keeping with the idea of this project.)

Apparently, he's supposed to meet with Autumn, though I'm not completely sure where she is right now. Just leaving Strormgate, maybe.

I was trying to find out if people actually wanted me to react to what their Epics were doing. Countdown would normally be getting reprimanded for what he's doing, and Seesaw would be completely screwed, so I asked earlier what Ven and Shadow wanted to happen.

Most of the worldbuilding we have can be here, on the wiki. It's a work in progress. At the moment, we only have one completed page, and it's this one. Yes, it's mine, and yes, I'm pretty smug about it. (well, technically, there are a few animals...) Anything that isn't there can probably be found in one of the links Kobold put in the thread's original post. And you might be joining? Awesome.

Eh. I don't really see this section of the forum as dead. It's actually one of the two pages that I refresh every few minutes or so. The Diaemus Project still has a decent amount of activity. Do you want to look into that?

Wouldn't it be a glacier anyway most of the time? That's pretty far south.
