Ok, I've been gone for a week, so get ready for a long post. 1. My brother, lev, has been reading What Happened in Portland. So I'm hopeful that he might eventually join us. That would be awesome, because he is amazing at writing villains. 2. Apparently the Reckoners RPG subforum is hidden to people who aren't logged in to 17th Shard. Maybe we should get that changed, because I'm planning on telling Brandon Sanderson about What Happened in Oregon when I get my copy of Firefight signed on Tuesday, and I don't want it to be difficult for him to find it, just in case he ever wants to check it out. 3. I am following the game, but I haven't been able to really dig into things. I'm still in the middle of a job search (Barnes and Noble said they would call me to set up an interview!) so I haven't been able to devote very much time to this game. I'm sorry about that. I really want to be active. I'll be back before the end of the game, but until then I'll be skimming the posts and trying to keep up with what's happening. This is just Meta's trolling. I can't really offer any proof, because if we still have a seeker, I doubt you would waste your time seeking somebody who is pretty much inactive, who has claimed to be a smoker. Here's the best I can do: If I were a spiked smoker, I would be keeping my coppercloud on at all times. However, I turned my coppercloud off last night, before I knew I would be the subject of any speculation. I've been doing that every night (except when I've forgotten) on the off-chance I was seeked, or just in case I voted and somebody wanted to use emotional manipulation. I'd rather get the information that I have been manipulated than have my vote go through. My meager actions have been for the sake of more information. And the spiked don't want people to have more information. If there is an emotional allomancer who doesn't have anything better to do with their powers, go ahead and sooth my vote, and see for yourself that my coppercloud is off. I'm voting for Hero because he doesn't have any other votes on him right now. Also, why would he choose to vote for the barely active smoker who hasn't been manipulating discussions? I know there were two other village smokers, but remember when Meta said this: "Having more players just means that I can have even more fun with the roles!" I'm also interested in finding out who told everyone my role. I told two people. Somehow, Wilson, Claincy, some dead villager, and Herowannabe all have been told since. What's the deal?

Does everyone who holds a shard put their name into their world somewhere? Just popping in to say hi. Also, I would vote for Ash right now if his death wasn't already sure. (extra votes would just make information gained from vote manipulation less decipherable). The reason I would vote for him is that it kind of bothers me when people try to use pity to escape a lynch rather than a sound argument.

Here's how this game goes: Somebody asks a question. It should be something fun but difficult to answer. Without looking it up, you should try to see if you can come up with the answer off the top of your head. If you think you have the answer, you can post it. When you post your answer, also post another question for the next person to answer. After posting your answer, you can look it up to see if you were correct. If you failed, your punishment is that you have to find a funny picture on the internet and edit it into your post. I agree with Wez. Plus Nalan was present at the feast at which Gavilar was killed. He talked with another man (probably Kalak or Ishar) about how Ash (Shallash) seemed to be getting worse. I think that each of the herald is getting worse in some different way. Jezrien is a drooling drunk, Ash is so vain she destroys any artistic work of herself, Kalak is paranoid and scared of everything, and Nale sees the law as an obstacle he has to work within rather than a method to reach justice. These probably relate to the nature of each Herald. Jezrien is supposed to be a leader, Ash is supposed to value art, Kalak is supposed to be a resolute builder, and Nalan is supposed to value justice.

My job search is still in progress, so I'm still not able to fully commit to this game. I'm really sorry about that. Hopefully that will change within the next few days!

If you haven't already bought Firefight, you should call Mysterious Galaxy (the bookstore where the signing is going to take place) and buy it over the phone. They'll give you a number for your place in line when you do. I called yesterday morning and got #9.

Mailliw, which epic did Frequency rupture the eardrum of? I assume it was Current Event, but I'm not sure. Also, I can't resist imagining Altermind and Frequency having a showdown like this:

Hi guys. Today is day two of my hunt for a job. I'm going to be checking in every day, seeing what has happened, but I don't have time to read the analysis posts in depth. I won't be contributing very much to the discussion. I'll be about as useful as an inactive. I'm really sorry about that. But unlike a true inactive, you can trust that in about a week, I will come back and be a contributing member of the game again. I'm excited to play, but I just can't put my all into it right now.

Thanks. I'm confident that I will get better. I just need to take the time and see my shrink without being in a situation that constantly fills me with anxiety. It sucks to be away, but it will be worth it. It's good for me to hear success stories like you.

Kobold: I live in California. If I printed it out and had him sign it when he comes to San Diego, then mail it to you, how much would that cost? Also, I'm thinking about telling him about this RP when I get Firefight signed. Maybe he'd think it was cool. What if he thought it was cool and decided to have David mention one of the Oregon epics in Calamity? HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!?
