Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Just so you guys know, the underline means Jene has survived an attack, and the dot means Kai has been grappled. I will add more dots if he is grappled more, and more underlines if Jene regenerates again.- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wow. Well, first of all, it appears that whoever got the grappling hook was either specifically trying to thwart whatever Kai (the player trusted by most) did, or they were trying to save Kal FangShi. The fact that two people posted in the last hour and a grappling hook was fired to save him makes me think that they really don't want him to die. Second, I think Kai's strategy is great. Everyone who thinks he is advocating a bandwagon, just think about what would have happened if Kal FangShi only had two votes on him instead of four. The last-minuters would have had their way with us. Personally, I think that they evidence against Wyrm is flimsy at best, and that Jeno has a lot to answer for. Matim: hmm I was thinking of calling it the Goodbad Scale, but Chart of Evilness has a nice ring to it. Believe it or not, I actually trust you more now. I certainly don't agree with your accusation of Kai, but I think it took more guts than the average mutineer has. Hreo: Your post where you switched from voting to Jene to Kal FangShi raised you to Valiant in my eyes. It just made so much sense. I expect to see lots of interesting stuff in this cycle that will probably shift my opinions about. I really want to see Jeno's defense. Also, Jatae and Mai have done nothing suspicious at all, but they haven't gone very far out on the line either. I really don't have any reason to distrust or trust them. This could definitely change before the end of this cycle, but here is the Third Chart of Evilness: Edit: Just so you guys know, I'm not putting RP in my first post of this cycle because I am sleepy. Sorry to deviate from a pattern.- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello, all. I think I'm only going to be able to post once this cycle, so I'm not going to spend time on very much RP. First of all, here's the Elantris Pronunciation Guide from Brandon's website: http://brandonsanderson.com/books/elantris/elantris/elantris-pronunciation-guide/ And no, it doesn't make "Riitiidiikiiiir" any easier to pronounce. Darn. Well, at least "Tie-Dye" still works as a nickname. Jene: I understand worrying about somebody hiding behind RP. The problem with that is this: I had already given another post explaining why I had posted RP rather than evidence. Even if you don't consider Kal's vote against Aonar a bad sign, I don't think I was the best option to vote against. Jain was, and still is, much more suspicious. His votes haven't really made sense. I'm still not sure about you. Jain: On the first week, you "shenanigan" voted for Kal FangShi for the coins and to even up the votes and stop bandwagons. That reasoning doesn't make sense to me because it didn't even up the votes (it went from 2Aonar 1Jene 1Mai to 2Aonar 1Jene 1Mai 1Kal) and there wasn't really any threat of bandwagon. Coins makes sense though. Now this week it seems you have voted completely for RP's sake. Protecting your panda will not save us from evil. Riingar: You are fantastic. I agree with everything your post said, and laughed pretty hard to see such sound arguments appear in pirate-speak. Kal FangShi: You seem pretty evil to me. In a game with an evil doc, I would wonder that maybe you were being set up, but I don't think the mutineers have the ability to scheme like that. I think they are more likely to try to eliminate those who seem like immediate threats. An agressive Aonar with a diagram would definitely be a threat to the mutineers. My suspicion is that it wasn't you who did the killing, but a slightly less experienced baddy who agreed with you that Aonar would be dangerous, but didn't realize it would reflect poorly on you. Note: I started typing this before Riingar voted for Kal Fangshi. Sorry to tie it up, but I was already planning to vote this way. Matim: On the first week you voted against Wyrm for RP, coins, and because he was safe (aka he wouldn't be killed and reflect poorly on you). Now you are voting for me because I am making my suspicions public and because I believe your actions were suspicious. How is this supposed to make you appear more trustworthy? Ratel: But what if your gut is a darkfriend? Jaelre: Your statement is true. Voting for coins is just as suspicious and useless as refusing to vote. Finally, here is my updated Goodbad Scale: The edit was to fix the goshdarn colors. And it looks like I have time for some RP. Time to stir the pot. Riitiidiikiiiir stirred the pot. It looked like it was just about done. Just then, he saw a flicker out of the corner of his eye. I'll get him this time, he thought. Riitiidiikiiiir had been practicing his knife-throwing skills. He was going to kill that rat, if it was the last thing he did. Tie-Dye left the pot and ran around the corner. At the base of the wall across the room sat something small and furry. He quickly threw the knife before it could get away, and it flew true. With a thump, the knife was embedded to the hilt into the head of... something. It definitely wasn't a rat. The rats on this ship were grey, not black and white. As Riitiidiikiiiir approached it, he realized it was Jain's toy panda. Oops. Riitiidiikiiiir quickly pulled his knife from the toy's adorable face and speed-walked away from the scene. Maybe Jain wouldn't notice. Maybe he wouldn't care. Just before Tie-Dye walked around the corner, he looked back at the toy. Somehow, the rocking of the ship had shifted it so it was staring in his direction. Just for a moment, he thought he saw its eyes flash red.- 361 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
Newan replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hahahahahaha finally a Dragon's Fang on Dellan's gut! I am just imagining the villagers sneaking up while he's sleeping, drawing the dragon's fang in Sharpie on his stomach. I don't really understand the whole Dellan=Forsaken thing, but I do trust Aonar and his diagram. Plus, we cannot afford to split the vote. Dellan. I'm not really sure why he voted for himself, but I suspect that he either a) wants to make us think he is expendable or 2) he has already accepted that which is lighter than a feather. Or c) he really is expendable, and wants us to kill him instead of the forsaken. I really hope it's not that one. Edit: I didn't want to do a sunglasses smiley-face, so I had to replace "b" with "2"- 503 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah. I'm back. I'm going to retract my vote for Jain because while I can't trust his actions, they do align with how he has acted in previous games. Kal Fangshi voted against Aonar--specifically for playing more aggressively this game. That should be a big warning sign with flashing lights. Aggressive=bad for mutineers. I'm going to place my vote on Jene to make him sweat a little, because I am really curious about why he voted against me. There were two people suspicious of me, and one vote on me, but no evidence. It seems to me that he was trying to push it into a bandwagon without looking like a bandwagon, but I could be wrong.- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been able to be the wild lynchmaster I was in day 1 for game 6. I'm traveling right now, and I'm playing from my very slow phone. It's easy to write out some RP and paste it in, but it's difficult to navigate the site. So I've only read each post once. I'll be able to analyze people a little bit better once I get home. Plus, last game I was trying to get the discussion started. This game the discussion started without my help. Wyrm: I should have specified this a little bit better in my first post. The part of Kai's logic I was going for was the 2-2 tie vote. I'm not quite convinced that Aonar is bad, so I didn't want to cement the vote on him. Kai: I promise to be less passive once I get home. I voted for Jain because of those who already had a vote placed on them, Panda seemed to have placed his vote most randomly. He just sort of did it for kicks. ...then again, he did the same thing in game 6, and he was good. Hmm... I might end up changing my vote. We'll see. Also, yes you can call me Tie-Dye. Or Riitiisjeosjsjisiaibdisiisiids or whatever.- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Riitiidiikiiiir liked working in the kitchens, even though the cook had nicknamed him "Tie-Dye". It was easier than working up on the deck, and Riitiidiikiiiir sunburned very easily. Riitiidiikiiiir was stirring a large pot of oatmeal when he saw the rat. It had climbed up the side of an open barrel of hardtack on the other side of the room and was now ambitiously trying to steal a cracker the size of it's whole body. Riitiidiikiiiir grabbed a kitchen knife and threw it at the rat. The throw missed wildly, but the rat dropped the piece of hardtack from it's mouth and leaped from the barrel. Riiitiidiikiiiir dashed after it, but it was quick. The rat ran into a small hole in the wall where human hands couldn't grab him, then turned around and squeaked as if to say "this isn't over," then ran into the darkness. The young man sighed and picked up the knife from the ground. He would have to work on his throwing skills if he was ever going to catch that rat. He walked over to the barrel and picked the large piece of hardtack from the ground. The cook wouldn't want him to put it back after the rat had put it's mouth on it. Blessing his luck, Riitiidiikiiiir smashed the hardtack into little pieces and popped one into his mouth. I agree with Kasimir. I'm going to vote Jain. edit:color- 361 replies

Newan replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Aonar: how hard is your code to break? I doubt Khamsi would reveal that he knew the code if doing so would put their forsaken in danger. Rishi: Don't get mad, cupcake. Inactivity wasn't the only reason. In my post I also stated that we should be wary of anyone who has been confirmed a villager. Plus, you defended Khamsi a couple of days back. I know it's not condemning evidence, but that's the kind of stuff I have to work with. Instead of saying my actions are idiotic, convince me that someone else seems more guilty than you and I will gladly change my dragon fang vote.- 503 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
Newan replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ok I totally trust Aonar at this point. I'm still a little bit confused on the Dellan=DF wisdom thing, but I trust your judgement. Besides the three that we pretty much know are dark, and the three people I trust (myself, Aonar, and Awesomeness) there are five others: Erik, Witless, Douza, Nath, and Rishi. Erik seems pretty trustworthy at this point, being all helpful and stuff. And I've heard Witless's arguments at least three times now (sorry Wilson for the repetitive accusation. But I still don't trust you) and she was also part of the non-council, so I wouldn't be as good at analyzing her as Awes, Aonar, or Erik would be. So I'm going to talk about the other three. The fact that Bunnt was a regular and we didn't know it means that she could have dragon fang voted in place of the forsaken so the forsaken could appear to be a regular. The forsaken could very well be someone that Awesomeness has already verified as a regular. So if any of these three are regulars, I would be wary. Douza: I trust Douza, and I'm not sure why. I can't remember a specific thing that he has done, but he just seems right in the same way that Bunnt sort of seemed wrong. Also, I think Bunnt was trying to cast some suspicion there by voting for him as mayor. Nath: I do not trust Nath. I don't specifically mistrust her, but I also don't see any reason to trust her either. Khamsi could have been trying to make us trust her, or he could have been using reverse psychology. Nath, what do you have to say for yourself? Rishi: where the heck has Rishi been?! Have I missed something, or has it been a while since she posted? Because of her absence, I am going to put the dragon fang on her right now, but if anyone gives me a compelling argument, I'll change it. edit: typo- 503 replies

Witless did say that she knew who the dreamwalker was and didn't know whether he was good or bad. Witless told me that she was part of the verified group a few days ago to get me off her case. Also, she helped Khamsi lynch Bela, defended him in the PMs, and then saved his butt from the lynch yesterday. I hope we're not just going to forget about that.- 503 replies

Newan replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I would like to thank Awesomeness Summoned for the fantastic post during the night cycle. You did say that Aonar was verified on the first night, but wouldn't the forsaken have come up as a regular villager on the first night? Also, Khamsi could be the forsaken. If somebody else was their channeler, they still could have cast their Mask of the Mirrors onto him. Council that is Not a Council, did we gain any new information last night? If we can kill the forsaken today, we could still win. (Technically we could still win if we kill the forsaken tomorrow, but that's less likely.) At this point, I think we should present all evidence for and against everyone. I'll start by defending myself. Somebody else, please present anything that sheds a bad light on me, and then proceed to defend yourself. If anybody has anything to add about anyone, feel free. Evidence 1: I have no power. I've been telling Awesomeness who I have been dragon fanging, so he knows that I have the ability to draw the Dragon Fang. This doesn't mean I'm not dark chocolate, but it does mean I am not the Forsaken. Evidence 2: I've been too offensive. Rather than avoiding suspicion by only posting RP with the occasional tip here and there, I have been constantly discussing. My crazy rampage on day 1 and my pursuit of Khamsi are examples of this, though I have said a lot of stuff all along the way. Witless and Awesomeness could probably both agree that I didn't sound like a darkfriend in my PMs with them. (Maybe a little bipolar with the "I trust you... wait no I don't! Wait yes I do, but not insidious." Ok now somebody else's turn! edit: color, duh.- 503 replies

Waes, is Witless verified? Because the amount of trust I have for her is very low right now. If you have some more that you could lend me, that would be great. But come on guys. Just because somebody doesn't want to contribute to the counsel doesn't mean that thy are bad. That was made bright as day in Sprell's case. If Khamsi was set up, I'd eat my figurative boots. When Bela was set up it was just killing people, which the darkfriends want to do anyway. I don't think they would waste a water weave just on the off chance that you guys were viewing Khamsi, would they?- 503 replies

Theorymaker, I'm going to ask you to retract your vote for Trimat. With two votes on Trimat, Khamsi can still use his mayor vote to save himself. Obviously, I have no right to ask you this. But still, I hope you'll agree that even if they are both bad, killing Trimat is not as much of a priority right now.- 503 replies

When Riitiidiikiiiir found out that his name meant "Wealthy green woods of justice and strength," he left his parents' orchard for a life a piracy. I think it's pronounced "rye-ih-tye-ih-dye-ih-kye-ih-eye-ir" Edit: Am I allowed to join this game while still playing the other game? Also, Riitiidiikiiiir is a difficult name, so if you want to refer to me, you can just write any number of consonants with a bunch of "i"s in between. Fiiiijiiidiiisiiiriiiq? Newan replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Using RP to make everyone like you and think you're good is a classic bad guy move. Didn't Quiver do that in game 2 or something? As Wilson said, it looked like Bela was either a darkfriend and had killed all those people, or that Bela was being set up by the darkfriends. Well, Bela isn't a darkfriend, but if nobody had gotten the ball rolling, all of their hard work setting her up would have been for naught. That avalanche vote was really fast. Within two hours, five other people had voted for you as mayor and four had voted for the lynch of Bela. I'm sure they're not all darkfriends, but I would be extremely surprised if a few of them weren't. Bandwagons only benefit the darkfriends. I know it's not your fault that the people bandwagoned, but you did play the waffle card to instantly gain the affection of all the waffle-worshippers in this game. Also, your accusation required an assumption of complete incompetence of the darkfriends (a group who has managed to completely avoid detection so far). I know that none of this is absolutely conclusive, but the conclusion that you are a darkfriend is the most logical decision I can make with the information I have. See what I did there? edit: color and clarity- 503 replies

Well Khamsi is evil. Guys, don't just follow one person because they are really cool and funny and good at RP (compliment intended). How did this happen? Everybody piled onto do exactly what Khamsi did! You really thought the darkfriends would kill everybody who voted for a darkfriend?! Also, just in case this sounds harsh, you should all know that you are beautiful people and I think the absolute best of you. edit: I had to add an exclamation point.- 503 replies

Kill everyone who voted against you the day before? That is a terrible, terrible idea. Witless, you said earlier that the darkfriend team would have some experienced, and some inexperienced people on it. Now you're acting like they're a hoard of total amateurs. If Bela turns out to be good, I'm coming after you and Khamsi. Not that there's much I can do to you. But I'm going to Dragon Fang the heck out of your door. Also, Bela hasn't defended herself because lev was moving yesterday and today. Besides, I think he was losing interest in this game. Being vanilla gets a bit... dull.- 503 replies

The reason I don't think he'll be afraid of bringing Kelsier back is that it's clear that Kelsier never moved on. He was hanging out in the Cog realm in Hero of Ages. It wouldn't be a plot device to have him find a way to affect the physical realm again by grafting himself onto a living person's soul.
