  1. Regardless let's say TLR does pick up Nightblood, considering the amount of investiture that he holds, the devestation would be immense. (Probably more than anything we've seen so far in cosmere).

I don't think TLR has much investiture, metalminds and the rest of the metalic arts are low investiture. All of his metalminds together are likely lower than 2nd hightening, even it is more, Susebron or Kaladin after the 3rd oath are likely higher.

  2. Vasher would clearly loss a fight with The Lord Ruler, but he might be able to assassinate him.

If the The Lord Ruler picked nightblood up, it would drain all the investiture from his body, since Scadrials investiture is very weak compared to breaths. He would age really quickly, probably dying instantly.

So all Vasher has to do is leave nightblood somewhere The Lord Ruler will find it, but in a duel to the death Vasher is toast.

  3. I think something like this has to be right because of balance. If Allomancy combines with Feruchemy to get compounding, Hemalurgy should combine Feruchemy to get something.

If Hemalurgy 2.0 works like compounding, putting a charge in the needle would make it a new Hemalurgic metal, one that drains more of the feruchemical charge into it. Then the Feruchemist can then draw the power out the normal way. So I think it is more likely the Feruchemical "Stealing" will give power to the feruchemist. The only way a feruchemist can give a charge is if the receiver is also a Feruchemist.

This stealing power could create another immortal feruchemist, one that steals age from people to stay young.

  4. Elsecaller and Mistborn. Being a mistborn would be really fun, and I can soulcast my own metals.

Also I can learn to world hop, so I can go to Nalthis and get some money for breaths, I could make a fortune performing magic tricks. No one will be able to workout how I'm doing all those escapology tricks.

  5. The quote might mean that shards might link in pairs, they just are not all opposites.

    Some pairs might be,

    Odium, Devotion.

Cultivation, Endowment (This is like the tin pewter pair, similar things in different way)

    Dominion, Freedom/Chaos/Anarchy?

Honor, the shard that just wants to survive (cowardly)?

And the only known one, Preservation, Ruin

  6. Investiture from having breath, being Elantrian or being a shard makes you immortal. So Nicrosil compounding might do the same thing, if it stores Preservation or Ruin investiture. Compounder could also reach "mist" heightening from tapping.

Nicrosil compounding should be better than atium, since it pauses ageing. Getting some mists into a metalmind might be a problem though.

  7. Yes, I now realise it is a bit similar to bendalloy, but you would not have the extra thinking time. It might actual be worse than normal bendalloy. This theory is probably wrong, Ill just have to wait for Mistborn 3.

  8. Good point, stormlight is pure investiture, not the filtered kind in most healing magic's. Investiture seems to stop aging, but you would have to keep a 5th heightening worth of stormlight in you which might be hard.

Also if breaths make you closer to Endowment, stormlight should make you closer to Honor and/or Cultivation, what would this do at high levels, could there be stormlight heightening.

  9. This theory is more of an idea, but I think is an original idea.

What if a atium bendalloy alloy compresses space instead of time. This would allow Scadialans to make ftl devices, and they would work away from the planet, as the atium acts as a power source.

  10. Maybe the shattering could happen at the Ascension, after the lord ruler has done all the normal stuff he uses the well of ascension to attack ruin. Since the attack happens from the well the attack is more cognitive (or something) which breaks ruins connection to Ati and preservations to the well. So the power splits up and forms splinters.

I like the idea about Kandra being splinters, maybe the splinters can "Nahel" bond to the first generation since they are near preservation when it breaks, and Kandra are of Preservation so the splinters should stick to them. This would mean that Kandra have a mistspirit that follows them, maybe them can speak to anyone, or just them. Ruins splinters could also bonds to some of the mistwraiths in a voidbringer type way. The Kandra and the "Anti" Kandra might be mistlings.

Kelsiers oddly late powers could be because he attracted a splinter of a shard of Preservation because he was trying to survive, or for a darker Kelsier he could of bonded a splinter of ruin because of his like of killing, or for something odd he could of bonded a splinter of Harmony.
