I'm thinking a powerful poison slipped into his food. It wouldn't be enough to kill him with his healing powers but if he didn't know he was poisoned I think it at least would stun him long enough for a type of blow that you can't heal back from like beheading or removal of spine and heart

A New Use (And a Big One at That!) for Aluminum
High prince of geeks replied to anonymous2017's topic in Mistborn
Okay here's a thought. If you could burn away the spear there would be already strange effect. Suddenly in this almost meter long piece of metal is instantly gone with nothing in its place. The air in the surrounding area would rush in cause a fairly usless(but theatrical effect) -
Okay but with the Aons how did they not come up with more stuff like dialogs wife. If it was just figured out by squigling in the air wouldn't cases like her be much more common and not found in some rare book? My new theory is that they originally knew about the connection to the land places and started working off of that. And it slowly faded out of general knowledge until it was only used by spokespeople to help teach aons

I'm not asking how it was first found out (that likely involved slight Shardic influence as I suspect happened with all other magic systems) but forgery and Aondor are so complex. Both of them involve an entire new language and complete understanding of what you are doing. With the other magic I can easily sea being learnt through experimentation. Once the original parts of the magic are found out people learn (gullible the five scholars of Nathalie) but how did people figure out the aons and how to do forgery? Small mistakes can lead to failures in both magic systems, and it is stated even simple versions of beach are incredibly difficult. Did the local shards influence the opulence more then usual, or does it have to do with our view of the magic system. Please help

Okay my question is splintering bad. Now many of you are going to say "YES!!" simply because that's what sodium does, and that it makes it harder to fight him. But look at self, what evidence do we have that the guaranteed being splintered has led to anything bad. In fact it might actually be beneficial seating as there is no creature with God like power working towards a single minded goal. All in all splintering at this point only seems bad because it makes it more likely for sodium to win, but it might be beneficial to do it peacefully.

Elantris's Holy Shrine
High prince of geeks replied to Oudeis's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
What I find interesting is that in there holy place their is a large librar, there is already a city library. And it seams to strangely link up to the magic of the world, which are based primarily on your knowledge of them. What does this tell us about their culture. If there were only books about the Aondor in there I would understand, keeping knowledge of your power out of easy reach would make sense. But there was also books on ancient epics history and probably much more. It, in my mind, seems strangely linked to the magic systems of their world which seem to work mainly off just understanding your powers -
Okay my main question is why hasn't dueling as a pair been done before. We sea Joel and melody do it at the end, and even taking away their respective high amount of skill in their respective areas they did extremely well. Unbalanced rithmatist (for example one who is great at defensive circles but can't for the life of him draw, and another who is great withdrawing fast but horrible at straight and perfectly curved lines) could easily fit in the same circle and balance each other out. Presumably they would do even better the Joel and melody because both (or all if there are three) would be rithmatist being able to strengthen defenses without having to get their friend to do it for them. The reason this might not have been done before is the high amount of trust and coordination needed to get it right, but surely after speaking it work so effectively it will soon become common practice? Please tell me what you think

I would start of with a week defense, but something that could be augmented. I would then send out as strong as chalking I could and lines of vigor to destroy enemy chalking. With the newly bought time I would up my defense.

lure him to Yellowstone, then either use a Nuclear bomb or tectonic epic to set to set it off. No way he's surviving theoretically 5,000,000 Hiroshima's

In Words of Radiance Hoid states that Shards are not gods despite how powerful they are, and in the epilogue he tells Jasnah that she is looking for god in the wrong places. So my question is in a world were there are beings strong enough to wrap reality, and there not considered gods, what is? What does Hoid worship? Andonalsium?

Okay so Shashara and shash are fairly similar, in fact shash is just the first half. Shash is a letter in warbreaker, and a glyph on Roshar meaning dangerous. Putting what we know about Shashara, and why Vasher killed her she might have been quit dangerous. Shashara might have been the inspiration of a both of these
