Stuff that Must Have Happened
TwiLyghtSansSparkles replied to TwiLyghtSansSparkles's topic in The Reckoners
So we're in one of those mirror universes, where good characters are evil and evil characters are good. Which would make sense, because Steelheart is obviously evil!Superman. That would also explain Megan's neutrality: She's actually Catwoman, and since the writers could never decide whether she was evil or good, she can't decide either. Does that mean Curveball is Mirrorverse Spiderman? -
Life is a video game. Pinkie Pie has cheat codes enabled.

Wait a minute….so if Nightwielder is Reckonersverse Batman…..does that mean there's a Reckonersverse Joker somewhere? -

"I killed disco, I can kill you too!" *whispered* "Hey, Jim, do you think we should tell her disco was already dead?" "No, Frank, let her have this." -
All right. I think we need to figure out, once and for all, who would ally with whom. Let me PM the others to get them in on the discussion.

I like it. Especially with all the new Epics in town Scorch could run to. Which would put Altermind on the defensive, wouldn't it?

Vin should join the Mane 6 in learning about friendship. She could be the Element of Awesome. Or Paranoia.

Is it made BY real skaa or WITH real skaa? -
Scorch....I see him as more of a sell-to-the-highest bidder type. I think he'd be more likely to ally with whoever he thought was more powerful/would give him more power. So if Altermind loosened his grip on the leash, so to speak, he might stay, but I could definitely we him leaving if he saw a better opportunity.

Makes sense to me.

I know, but my teacher compels me to homework. I slave away like a lowly plantation skaa, which my phone seems to think is slaw. -
Funtimes would be open to an alliance with anyone, although it's hard to say how long said alliance would last. From Nighthound's intro (creepy, by the way, good work) I doubt they'd last long together, which could lead to either yet another faction forming or each of them joining existing factions. And as for damage to the environment: Kathy and Scorch both have flame powers, and Flashpoint controls electricity. And I can see people resorting to bombs and molotovs in a vain attempt to stop CorpseMaker. But yes, another destructive Epic would probably be a good addition. Edit: I guess, deep down, none of us really want to see Oregon destroyed.

This guy was an Epic before it was cool. -
Also fixed.

Edited to add human characters and their alliances thus far. Let me know which new ones form, or which you were planning to form, so I can add them to the list.
-
Okay, here's a list of who we have and what alliances are starting to form. This will be changed and added to. Human Characters Travis (Theorymaker) Gordon (Joe) Max (Mailliw) Mel (Delightful) Nathan (Twi) Epic Characters Altermind (Mailliw) Finch/Ricochet (Leftinch) Joe, CorpseMaker (Joe) Kathy (Theorymaker) Nighthound (Edgedancer) Doctor Funtimes, Scorch (Twi) That looks right. Humans and Their Alliances Definite: Nathan/Funtimes, Max/Mel Tentative: Gordon/Joe In Name Only: Nathan/CorpseMaker
-
I like it. I think we should probably hash out alliances now, or in the near future, so we have a plan as to who will ally with who. It'll be easier to keep track of everything that way, and easier to plan for attacks and whatnot.
-
Go watch it. NOW. Okay, now you're back. Wasn't it great? Neeson's performance in that movie is exactly the kind of controlled intensity I imagined from Prof. He's quiet and calculating, yet you know he'd do anything—and I mean anything—to reach his goal.

(((Of course not. Post your character bio to the Question thread and PM me your character's weakness if he/she is an Epic.))) -

No, no eyepatch. Definitely no eyepatch. As for Neeson in a less-calm/Aslan-y role….have you ever seen Taken?

I might've liked "Human Nature" better if I wasn't also a hardcore Downtoner. It's well done, and high-quality in every area, it just….felt too much like Downton to me. And if I want to watch Downton Abbey, I'll watch Downton Abbey. Like I said, it's a great arc, and I can see why so many other fans like it, but it's just not for me. "Doomsday," on the other hand…. I still can't listen to the score from the climax. Too many feels.
