He sounds dreadful. I'm going to make myself a cup of his namesake and drink it like a sir out of sheer spite.
-
And kills his murderer like a sir.
-
Tut tut! Only Earl Greyback is capable of dying like a sir!
-
Oppressing New New England with tea and biscuit like a sir. While making veiled Doctor Who references. Also like a sir.
-
A pony with a monocle. Every sir needs a monocle.
-
And were this mysterious character brought in, I believe you would be contractually obligated to describe his every action as being completed "like a sir." Example: "Earl Greyback lifted a small bottle, tipped the contents into Aldo's teacup, and grinned like a sir. 'Drink it,' he said like a sir."
-
Please tell me he looks like Fenrir Greyback with a monocle.
-
Was that an oblique Harry Potter reference?
-
Fear not, Scorch! Your funeral will be attended by a doomed cannon fodder Epic and a crowd of NPCs we bussed in from Manitoba to ensure they never met you!
-
Kobold: Yes. She can't be "the hippie" forever. Those you never met will mourn your passing if we tell them to.
-
I for one am glad Scorch did not die in the arms of Flashpoint or Altermind. I have standards, you know.
-
Were I not on my phone, I would post the biggest, baddest MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA gif I could find. Alas and alack, I cannot. I will therefore leave that honor to Joe, for the idea was entirely his.
-
The power to kill your employees with a single glance makes for a very effective human resources department.
-
Ding, dong, Scorch is dead, CorpseMaker shot him in the head…. Well, he didn't shoot him, exactly, but you catch my drift. You probably shouldn't call him Jeffrey, either. Only Doctor Funtimes can get away with that.

What Happened in Portland

Lightwards' teleporter. Those two words sent a stab of fear through him—not merely because the latter was untrue, but because were it not for Funtimes, Nathan could very well belong to Lightwards as one of his Warriors. Like the tailor who suffered through his task long after his body had surrendered to fatigue. He cast a brief glance at Lightwards, then turned his full attention to Sightline, shaking the hand he offered. "I'm not his teleporter, but I am called Traveler." Then he added with a laugh: "If I'm anyone's teleporter, it's the Doctor there." Doctor Funtimes tossed him a grin, then returned to her endless stream of chatter: "I missed you so much and I didn't know where you went or if you were okay but you are and you're still the same old Blueberry…." His teleporter. Nathan made up his mind then and there to never let the phrase apply. No matter how strange, how random, how unstable Doctor Funtimes could be, she had dissolved the straps binding him to Fortuity's table and dressed him as an Epic. She had taken four people any other Epic might have murdered outright and given them cinnamon rolls. Lightwards had torn a grandfather to ribbons and given a tailor a task he was certain to fail. Hers. Not his. He belonged to the woman in light-up socks, not the necromancer in the hideous bowler hat. And that was how he liked it. -
Okay, cool. Maybe it's their innate wild-ness, their adherence to their own packs. Like how the segment from the raptor's POV mentioned a desire to break free of the "alpha's" control, take leadership of his pack, and murder every mammal in the jungle. Humans are more trusting of other humans than they would be of, say, a talking bear, and so the human Warriors might be more comfortable taking orders from Lightwards than would a raptor. For a raptor, taking orders from what it recognizes as prey probably feels very unnatural.

I was thinking it was a random insect or group of insects, but I can delete that line...

Mailliw, about how big is the infirmary, how many people are in it, what sort of injuries do they suffer from, and overall how concerned is Altermind with their well-being (i.e., is the infirmary itself staffed with people trained in medicine and stocked with adequate supplies, or is there just a handful of nurses on duty making do with whatever supplies could be spared as an afterthought)?
-
Yay! And now that Lightwards has responded, I can safely have Funtimes see Voidgaze. After giving Sam some shoes, of course.
-
I am very excited for Aldo to meet Funtimes. I doubt anything too strange will happen, but I've peeked a page or two ahead and I'm pretty sure she uses the word "besties" at some point.
-
I'd screenshot it before some Nighthound evil troll decides to upvote you just to change your rep.
-
"Sam! What the Calamity are you doing?" "Standing. Is that not allowed?" "There are giant, forty-foot aliens stomping through downtown Portland!" "We're in the sky, genius." "They're throwing houses at us!" "Are they?" "Half the MoNA is gone! Funtimes turned the rest of the jungle into cotton candy!" "Huh. Guess you're right."

True. And she can post without trouble. But with the design things, and whenever she has a problem, she'll run to me for help. Even if I'm doing homework at the time. -
Luck wished. I know how that is, believe me. Not with farm tasks, but with other things.
