Reckoners movies optioned! (again?)
TwiLyghtSansSparkles replied to WeiryWriter's topic in The Reckoners
Yikes. While I enjoyed the NatM movies for the fun popcorn films they were, he's the last one I'd pick for the Reckoners movies. If I had my way, Bryan Singer (X-Men director who made Bret Ratner disappear) would direct a highly successful series of films with Liam Neeson as Prof and Jim Caviezel as Obliteration. Sadly, I am not in charge of Hollywood. -
Please don't tell me I'm the only one who would read a wacky, Hitchhiker's Guide sort of story about that race.

Mirrorverse Voidus has trouble thinking of a single Epic, let alone dozens.

While TwiLyghtSansSparkles wishes she could downvote Quota himself.

I hate you sooooo much, Quota....

Does that mean Jade Delancy, Reckoner, once carried out an assassination by distracting the Epic target with a hug and a bouquet of balloons?

I have no idea, either. Picturing him as an Epic is only slightly less difficult than picturing Nathan as one (which is impossible). I won't, because that tyrant has blocked me from upvoting yet again. Back to my plans for his demise.

Human!Quota is also absent from this universe. Maybe I should come up with a name for him.....

Does that make discussions about Chicago Joe Ale-ins?

This reference will always be relevant. Alan me for details.

Thanks, Timeport. You ruined Renaissance fairs for her forever. Also, Winter, if you wanted to add a bit of backstory, it couldn't hurt. It's not required, but it couldn't hurt.

Since I'm on my phone and can't post videos, go to YouTube and watch a video of the "Fluttershy yay" to accurately determine my feelings about this.

From my phone. My autocorrect is a bit overzealous sometimes. I once misspelled the beginning of "sunset," and the autocorrect suggested "On my way!"

Let me Alan you the details, then... Edit: I meant PM, but I'm going to start Alaning people from now on.

Did you want to control said cannon fodder Epic, or did you want to make them a full NPC?

I was thinking more in terms of an NPC who could be offed with no one caring too terribly much about their demise. If you want to try your hand at developing a doomed character, Winter, go ahead, but they'll be involved for one scene.

It has already been launched. It's a very unique kind of nuke. Folks call it the Karma 3000. It divides into three forms, each form taking the shape of a human best suited to deliver a personalized sort of payback. It's rumored that this one will be taking the shape of a matter manipulator, a teenaged angel, and a thief who lost the love of his life. By the way, would there be any minor Epics, affiliated or not with the MEE, that would be out and about near CorpseMaker's territory?

So don't. Because they're not. By the time they get even a little close to that neighborhood, Protector Pug will be safe with her human in Tillamook, feasting upon pizza.

Google pictures of pug puppies and watch some "pug head tilt" videos on YouTube. That should help.

I think Lightsong would look at the upvotes on this site and conclude they are administered by the same entity choosing names and titles of the Returned.

A never-ending buffet, thanks to Timeport's resurrection. Maybe the inconsistency was due to David's imperfect knowledge of their methods?

I don't know; he's highly driven, goal-oriented, and a bit of a perfectionist. The Reckoners may have seen these as positive qualities. And there's also the matter of them not expecting him to gain powers in the first place. He did. It's in the chapter shortly after they take him underground, where they ask how he knew they were going to hit Fortuity. I like this plan. I like this plan a lot.

Dear Timeport, I don't know what seminary you attended, but your theology is WHACK. Also, you've made a character who hasn't even been introduced yet my new favorite. Die soon, Twi
