I was going to suggest giving Nighthound some crayons and a nice coloring book to keep him occupied, but he'd probably hatch a nefarious scheme with those, too.

Most of them, though she left a handful intact so as not to raise suspicion. She's no fossil expert and didn't really pause to read descriptions (where they existed) so those left over are more a random assortment than anything else.

She turned them into dirt, though I'm not sure exactly how many remained in the museum after Lightwards raised his first round of dinosaurs. So I'm not sure how badly he'll miss them at first...

Darn you, Edgedancer! The "Party X Party" song is so catchy I actually checked iTunes to see if I could buy it…and it isn't there! Now I'll just have to make do with YouTube. #catchysongscausefirstworldproblems

Since I saw another ad for that "non-surgical neck and facelift" doctor who urges women to "trust [your face] to an artist," I'm not going to bother with speaking highly of space-warping Epics or their flesh-warping henchmen. I'm just going to flee the state.

I'm here to help. Wait. Didn't you say you're in Texas? What is the Lord of the Silverfish doing there?

Oh! Kobold! If you want a less horrifying thought about Lightwards, answer this question: After twenty or so deaths, would he follow this train of logic? 1. When I die, it is not fun for me. 2. In mythology, Sleep is the brother of Death. 3. Hades gave Persephone a pomegranate, and pomegranates exist, so Hades and Persephone, and everyone else in Greek and Roman mythology, must also be real. 4. Sleep and Death are totally related. They probably talk about stalking me at their family reunions! 5. Coffee staves off Sleep. So if Sleep and Death are brothers, then... 6. If I drink enough coffee, I'll never have to resurrect so I'll never die! Mahahahahaha! 7. I WILL DRINK COFFEE FROM THE MOMENT I WAKE UNTIL THE HEAT DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE.

I just realized the horrifying fallout of all these cross-dressing High Epics. Steelheart and Obliteration each want to prove they're the most fabulous, right? Lightwards admires and slavishly copies everything Steelheart does in an attempt to inspire the same fear. So…when he sees Steelheart wearing his finest pair of heels, the only logical response on his part is…. Lycra!Lightwards. FOREVER

Brandon Sanderson AMA 2015

None of King_of_the_Kobolds' questions will be answered. Brandon Sanderson will ignore these questions and will certainly not write a detailed response to them. -
Brandon Sanderson AMA 2015
TwiLyghtSansSparkles replied to Windrunner's topic in Events and Signings
I think I'm going to say it looks like the AMA is officially over. The last time I said that, he answered a slew of questions over the next couple days. -
Exactly. It's not because we make far more pony comics in a day than most people make in a lifetime. More like, "SEE, Stephanie Meyer, who has never actually been to Forks? No vampire in their right mind would WANT to live in that town, much less rule it! Now Seattle, on the other hand….." (Though Funtimes will certainly have a few things to say, should she ever visit Tucson. ) "Meap me in St. Louis, Louis, Meap me over here, Meap me 'neath the pancakes raining, if you want to, bring the beer…." Odd things happen in St. Louis. Especially when I run out of rhymes for "here."

That's the beauty of hindshadowing, right there. What? Nooo….I never rely on my personal experiences. (Sadly, no. Her Rending didn't put her in a very whimsical mood, and she didn't stick around long enough to recreate that scene, leaving Seattle always and forever Meapless. )

On one hand, you could see our relative lack of destructive Epics in Oregon as a bad thing. On another hand, you could look at it as a setup for cruel irony, as a state filled with Epics whose powers aren't exactly destructive manage to destroy an entire state anyway. Yes. Yes, they were. (Thanks. ) (It was Seattle, yes. I briefly considered making it Forks, but then I realized no one in their right mind would want to rule that town. )

….and every vanilla in a ten-mile radius flees because, even though theirs may not be the most destructive Epic duel they've ever seen, it's definitely the most unsettling. Of course, the foreshadowing will have little effect if the character arcs change as much as mine have. (But go ahead and foreshadow with Funtimes. Hers is sticking to my current plan. )

I thought that was actually pretty clever. I mean, the mental image of Lightwards facing down another resurrection Epic whose body simply dissolves into millions of insects when he dies, rather than saddling him with yet more mental decay, fuming with jealous rage as the wood-paneled walls in the suburban home that hasn't been updated since the 1970s dissolve into silverfish….. Foreshadowing shall pay off soon. And also, I think this might be one of the few instances of actual foreshadowing instead of the hindshadowing we usually use.

Never has a duel between gods and angels involved so much pink satin. Also, I think we just discovered Nathan and Sam's Epic weaknesses.

If that were the case, I think Obliteration would've just come to Newcago to settle things with Steelheart once and for all….wearing a fetching A-line dress and heels.

Ever wondered how Steelheart reacted to the news that Obliteration destroyed the cities he did? Unfortunately, I have the answer.
