Sell, that would be kinda annoying i mean wouldn't he be like "go get me Hoid" and Szeth would be like "who?" and if Szeth did find Hoid we would have an epic battle using like a million different magics, so yeh not happening. I don't think he cares about the oathstone anymore anyway. Nightblood will not be described as an awakened sword, but as a sentient shardblade, and he will act very similarly, perhaps even giving Szeth his skybreaker surges eventually (after he understands what evil is, i believe he and Szeth will work it out together).

It seems that we have all taken the RAFO as'yes he has been there but it is to spoilery for me to tell you why or how", when it could very well have meant "no he hasn't been there but it is to spoilery for me to tell you why not". In the end this being a big RAFO just makes it a big Rafo, it means about as much as a normal Rafo.

Well we know that spren are essential the ideas of humans given life. So perhaps Cryptics are powerful because Men view lies as powerful things, or because men see truth as a powerful thing, and this makes the Cryptics which are as much truthspren as liespren, a very powerful spren.

Buy, to much awesome for him not too, I even see him as being a main, he probably knows more about hemalurgy than any other living thing, and I think WoB has said that hemalurgy has a bit to do with stuff in the latter cosmere novels. The ghost bloods will try and pay Roshone out to rekill jasnah, in a more permanent fashion (if the town she is approaching is indeed hearthstone)

In alloy of law i think wax breaks the law simply by investigating and not telling the police about it, and he does it to protect poeple (who cannot protect themselves), so i think he would also be part of the wind runner clan. But on topic, nice catch, pretty awesome actually. have an upvote.

I most like the theory that the frost is caused by the release of presure from being compressed to a much more dense than natural form, making the air around your or your skin cold as it leaves your body, I do not think that using stormlight intentionally uses heat as a fuel, surgebinding's fuel is stormlight, and the idea of surgebinding is directing the stormlight to a purpose
-
This is good, I have had a similar theory for a while, except my theory involve using different forms of investiture to fuel different systems. My theory on the way it works is if you use each fuel to power a different magic system the fuel maintains its kwerks, such as, stormlight used to awaken would slowly leak out of the object as it does everything else, and would cause condensation and frost to form (the latter was just pointed out to me by you, thanks for that (: ), using it to fuel allomancy would have a similar effect. mistborn spoiler whereas any kind of cosmere magic user (is there a collective term , cosmage? lol) who invested breath would likely gain the heightenings, and cause an aura of enhanced colour. I don't know about metals but i think the theory is pretty solid, the only person we can say is probably using another magic systems fuel to fuel there own magic is likely Zahel, I would say Hoid but i think he used metal that time we saw him use allomancy, maybe he didn't want to attract attention by glowing with stormlight? anyway that's my 2 cents or maybe more but whatever i like your theory have an upvote

Well I don't think you could soulcast an invested radiant just like magic can't affeft other invested objects, so yes the soulcasting orders would wreck in a battle against ordinary people but against other radiants I think it would be more interesting.

Sell I don't think he hassajd anything about a tv series Roshone is (or was) a ghostblood
-
um buy? I think we have WoB on that. Kaladin is so freakishly tall and skinny because he has some terris blood in him (see Terris world hopper).
-
Buy, he kind of deserted her and forgot about her for 4 years, and even now that he is a light eyes he came back for his parents not even thinking of her. This hate is likely what will provoke Kal to free her, as he probably has latent feelings for her. Laral will be a radiant ( I know it's not a popular theory but I personally like it).

This Theory focuses around the voidbringers and their apparent nature, it seems that the voidbringers we have seen so far are Parshendi/Listeners, that have bonded Voidspren. now this changes their likeness and even changes the way they see the world. mistborn spoiler: Now the Parshendi are able to bond the Voidspren because of there obvious closeness to the cognitive realm. In fact they depend on bonding an ordinary kind of spren to gain any form of sentience. The conclusion that this closeness to the cognitive realm is what makes them voidbringers has lead me to a separate theory. And that is that the Parshendi were not the only race to get sucked into Odium's army during the desolations, I believe that the Aimian's are also capable of becoming voidbringers. I think this because in our only chapter that we see from an Aimian's perspective, Axies the collector, we see an obvious closeness to the cognitive realm in his ability to change his appearance with thought. I believe that some of the more dangerous voidbringers were actually Aimian's I say this because a Parshendi needs a spren to change it's form, an Aimian can do it at will (to a degree). I also think that this is also the cause of the general dislike of Aimian's, I know that Axies says that it is just because they are different, but i think it is actually a dislike that has been built into Rosharan culture due to the Aimian's connection with the desolations. well that's all I have, I would link quotes to Axies' chapter but i feel that the whole chapter is pretty relevant to my theory so if you want to investigate, just read it.
-
I think you are correct and have thought this for some time, that the Parshendi are much more cognitive than humans, I mean they bond minor spren to get their forms, so it makes sense they could bond greater spren also. But your quote of their song of spren suggests that this bond isn't nearly as beneficial as the one with humans.

Buy. he will then trade it's trophy with Roshone (it is THE whitespine) for larals freedom.
-
sell. she will grow a bean stalk and climb to the moon.

I totally got a copy of whitesand one day after emailing him!! On topic: when you buy a monitor just so you can have 17th shard open on it all day. -
Sell. If you draw night blood and believe yourself even a tiny bit evil, then he will kill you, but if you think yourself pure then he will trust your judgement of evil but, Nightblood's memory is his own, but he doesn't remember being drawn because all of his breaths are dedicated to his command, Destroy Evil. This means there is no energy left over to power his mind/Sentience, but I think Szeth will use Nightblood so much that Nightblood will learn to hold some back to fuel his mind, if only a little. this will let Nightblood see what he does to people, telling him what evil is, himself, this will be Nightblood's character arc, I think this revelation will lead to some shenanigans with Nightblood's command, perhaps him changing it himself. The book night Blood will not tell us How Vasher ends up on Roshar
-
Buy, they will probably be revealed by the next book. Nightblood will learn what evil is During SA, most likely by what the time he spends with Szeth, Szeth will learn what evil is too, they will learn together (you get the point).
-
Sell they have already played a rather symbolic role and I think Brandon will take the opportunities to introduce more of Shinovar. Amians will play a larger role in the desolations than already assumed (perhaps another Native Rosharan race that was possessed by Odium?)
-
There appears to be nothing to buy, but I have something to sell Warbreaker/WoR spoiler
-
Buy, I think that would be awesome, especially if one named feather bumps into Renarin at Urithuru. Hoid can speak High imperial, and Brandon will use it to confuse poeple as an Easter egg in SA somewhere.
-
Sell, exposition really isn't how Brandon does things. Cadmium is the pulser one right? If so then I buy it, as long as they work out if you can use it with out including your own body in the bubble. Wasing the seeing of a hearing in high imperial, with a person wasing tje knowing of imperial to translate (we will see a trial in high imperial in SoS, and there will be a translater for the pov character so that we understand) Edit: ninja'd
-
Wasing the agreeing of the spook using the wasing slang in humbling of the politicians, seeming the likely of not liking them after the citizen wasing the abusing of power.

Wasing is selling on the writing of book. Wasing is buying on the breaking of minds. We will learn more about the scadrian southern continent in SoS.

"Real Life" Allomancy or How the second Trilogy might work
signspace13 replied to Pathfinder's topic in Mistborn
Aluminum never becomes a common metal like it is for us today, instead the methods to make it are always kept secret meaning it retains a value greater than gold. This seems plausible basically because if aluminum was everywhere allomancers would be in trouble, if aluminum was as plentiful as it is today than every gun in scadrial would be loaded with aluminum ammunition, and this would not be good, it would mean the main combat uses for coinshots and lurchers become useless, so i see a main S.W.A.T team of guys carrying aluminum ammo, simply because they will probably be made to fight mistings (modern day hazekillers?). How would this affect the modern world? i think it would have quite an impact we wood need to use other metals or find workarounds. Remember everyone in this world would believe that Aluminum is some unobtainable metal, so no one would be trying to make it.
